Moose Lodge is one cottage in the Bear Necessities Cottages. These cottages are a group ranging in size and price. Five of the six cottages have kitchens and private baths. We have one dry cabin that has a shared bath house that also contains a coin laundry. We welcome children and pets and love to help with your planning! Located just minutes from town you are close enough to all the action without feeling like you are in the action. Hiking, fishing, boat tours and much more are minutes away. Owners live on site and are ready to welcome you to Seward!

Great location - easy access to every place we went. Beds are extremely comfortable and the living area space is very functional/usable. The only downside was the very short amount of time the hot/warm water in the shower lasts. Overall, this is a great place! Would stay here again.

Thank you so much! I'm fighting with the pressure reducer on the well. When it gets moved it effects the hot water. Hopefully the sliw season we can figure it out!!

Cute clean cabin tucked away in Seward! Perfect getaway for the day and night! The Host was excellent- answered all our questions and was very hospitable!

Great little cabin

If you want to camp in a cabin in Alaska, this is your place! Owner’s are on site and very helpful. You can make a fire in the fire pit and soak up nature. Cabin is small and the pans could use updating but overall a great little place to spend a night (or more). :-)

Enjoyable and relaxing

The accommodations were great. The kitchen was stocked and all our needs were met above expectation. The owners are friendly and responsive. The area was quiet and relaxing.

We loved our lil cabin

We have everything we needed for a mom with 4 kids and a dog. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Nice, quiet place to stay

Didn't have heat on and pretty cool overnight. Upon arrival, manager gave great tips on what to do and where to eat. Appreciated being in the country, but not secluded, while staying here. Overall experience was good.

Thank you for staying and for the review. Heat is hard to decide on. Some people are warmer than others. Unless its cold, we try and leave it to the guest as to if they want heat on or not. With no AC in alaska, once you get it too hot it takes a while to correct.

Great location, property was worn

Great layout and location, however the hot water for the shower was unreliable and the oven would not light. There was also an odor in the home.

Communication is key. At check in you received a text telling you there is a pressure reducer on the shower head. You were told that it had to be left in the middle position for the hot water to work properly. If that was done you would not have a problem. You never communicated you didn't understand or i could have helped you. The stove is tricky but again, if you had asked, we would have helped. If it didn't work you could have received money for dinner. Again, communication. We have never had a complaint of a smell, I apologize if there was one we did not notice in the hour and a half it takes to clean the unit. In the future it's best to communicate any issues to an owner so they can assist or correct. It's our job to help you have the best stay possible. Let us do that!

I hate you weren't completely happy with your stay but we do understand everyone is different. We definitely recommend this cottage for a family or a group that is comfortable staying in the same space since the bathroom is off of one of the bedrooms. Our cottages were made well before everyone had their own ensuite and that isn't something we can change without losing the charm we love about it. Hopefully people take in the photos and reviews before they book their accommodations. For people looking to book, it's good to note, there's also a bath house avaliable ten feet from this cottage if needed...And there are separate cottages avaliable for those needing more privacy. Glad we were able to find your belongings you left behind and get them mailed out to you! Safe travels
