The Cottage is located in the grounds of historic Vincent Forge Mansion on the banks of French Creek. The setting is serene and bucolic with lawns going down to the river, yet grocery stores and modern amenities are only 10 minutes away. Located in Chester County, the cottage is close to Civil War battlefields, Amish Country and numerous points of interest, including nearby Phoenixville with a vibrant bar and restaurant scene. The Cottage is new barn conversion and is decorated to the highest degree of comfort with all modern amenities and a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The kitchen adjoins an open living/dining room with a woodstove for cozy nights in. The living room and bedrooms all have smart TVs. On the upper level, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms to complement their queen beds, with linens, robes and toiletries provided. There is a washer/drier in the cottage and a powder room for convenience on the lower level. You will have private parking for 2 cars and a private patio with gas grill and firepit surrounded by gardens. Beautiful Cottage, Delightful Stay!

Stayed for 5 nights. Had a wonderful stay and the cottage was stocked with everything we needed and some unexpected items, like wine, eggs, and milk. Ate breakfast each morning in the courtyard amongst the gorgeous landscaped grounds. Close to everything yet far enough out of the way to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Place to Stay

We chose to stay at this spot while we were in the area for the Pottstown Rumble volleyball tournament and were thoroughly impressed with the property/house and all the details. The host has thought of everything and more to make this place great. We were sad we didn’t have time to enjoy the property more.

Beautiful cottage!! Absolutely loved staying here. Would stay again!!! Beautifully decorated making us feel right at home. Not to mention all the goodies that were appreciated. Outside gardens and property are gorgeous as well!!

The host had so kindly left eggs, milk, k-pods, bread ... even wine ... but we didn't have time to fix anything, so coffee with milk was all that we used. We really enjoyed breakfast at Rise & Shine, which was only about 4 miles away.The cottage & patio garden were amazing. The beds were comfy. My sis-in-law kept walking around saying, "They thought of EVERYTHING!"

Last minute spring break trip

Decided last minute to get away for a few days and found this cottage which was perfect! Lawson was very helpful and accessible and the grounds were quiet and we enjoyed the creek despite no luck with fishing! It was also close to Phoenixville which was a great town!

Perfect cottage stay

This property is exquisitely appointed, beautifully decorated, and conveniently located, and the host is extremely helpful and communicative. My family would definitely stay here again when we are in the area, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Cozy cottage

The cottage was so cozy, clean and well stocked. The property has a rich history and beautiful grounds that we were able to explore. The beds were clean and comfortable. It truly felt like home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and can’t wait to return.

Calming Get Away

This is an amazing spot, and such thoughtful care has been taken to update these historic buildings. We had a lovely relaxing time and loved how easy it was to find great places to eat nearby. We also really appreciated how well stocked everything was at the house (including some groceries!) The hosts were so responsive and we can't wait to stay here again soon!

Perfect stay in paradise.

I can’t say enough great things about the Hosts, staff, and property. Me and my wife and another couple had an amazing time. The property and Cottage were clean and comfortable with beautiful decor. The property is heavenly. We already booked again for next year.

Quiet, comfortable stay.

We were attending Dressage at Devon. We didn't want a hotel and found this gem. A 30 minute drive, but worth it. Cottage was well provisioned and Lawson, the owner, was super. Very cozy and private. Will book again.

Lovely Host and Beautiful Cottage..

The Cottage and property is beautiful, it lies along a private road few neighbors. The cottage is clean comfy and the hosts were very accommodating we were allowed to check in a day early. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is it.. We spent a few nights enjoying the sounds of nature around the beautiful fire pit. Lovely!!

Quiet and comfortable

We stayed at the property for a week in October. The cottage was a great place to relax and unwind between trips to visit friends and family. The grounds were beautiful and the cottage had everything we needed plus some perks: food and beverages until we could get to the store. We will definitely keep the cottage in mind when we visit again.

Home away from home (in a tranquil setting)

Our experience at the Vincent Forge Mansion cottage was extraordinary. The hosts really went above and beyond in providing for all the guests' needs. The property was great for our family! There is a great fishing spot on French Creek, the flower gardens are beautiful, and there is ample lawn space for kids to play games. We couldn't have asked for more in our "stay-cation."

Well Done

It was definitely a cozy cottage and this owner had everything ready for us to stay . Went above and beyond by providing snacks wine and eggs for our first morning. Absolutely Perfect

This beautiful spot has everything you need and more! Lawson our host and Liam the property mgr were very communicative. We were in the area to help our daughter move into a new home, so didn’t get to take full advantage of all this property has to offer. We will definitely be back!!

Delectable Country Retreat

Lawson and Mike have created beautiful and immaculate places to stay. The Cottage is serene, has every amenity and is beautifully furnished and fitted out. Together with an onsite manager, the couple of very minor questions we had were resolved promptly and very courteously. Others have commented that the Cottage is at the very top tier of properties and we would totally agree! For anyway who is seeking a delightfully relaxing getaway, this is the place; tucked away in a bucolic setting, yet with ready access to the surrounding area with its many places to visit.

Our stay at the rural cottage on the Vincent Forge Mansion property was a delightful surprise. The cottage, beautifully restored with modern conveniences, offered a serene experience reminiscent of the English or French countryside, complete with stunning gardens. The owners’ attention to detail ensured a welcoming stay, even accommodating our dog with towels, bowls, and a tennis ball. Our host, Lawson, truly made the experience memorable. When we arrived late due to car trouble, he left us a bowl of chili and groceries, saving us the hassle of finding dinner. His hospitality extended to providing excellent restaurant recommendations, which were perfect for celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary. The location in Chester County is picturesque, surrounded by farms and historic buildings, with ample walking and biking paths and historic towns nearby. It’s conveniently close to grocery stores and malls, including outlet malls, making it an ideal spot for relaxation in a peaceful setting.

Beautiful place to stay while in town for a family wedding

We travelled down to Spring City for a family wedding and this cottage very much exceeded our expectations. When we drove in, we noticed the absolutely gorgeous landscaping! The front patio was our favorite place to spend our time, especially in the morning for breakfast. The cottage was immaculate and clean. The host asked us if there was anything we needed for breakfast supplies. I was so surprised because I only expected an empty fridge to put our food in that we brought with us. To my surprise, the fridge had, eggs, bacon, bread, milk, bagels, butter, peanut butter and more! There was a full basket of fruit on the counter as well as snacks, coffee, tea and wine! The beds were so comfortable and we even had bathrobes to use if we wanted. We felt so much at home and will definitely return if we are in the area again. We highly recommend this property!
