Rustic Lakeside Fishing Camp South Toledo Bend -Skiers Cove- 3 bedrooms-Sleeps 8

This rustic lakeside fishing cabin is nestled in the tall trees on the very desirable skiers cove. The fishing camp is a cabin that has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 8 guests. Please note that this is not a luxury house it is a fishing camp with a little charm. Our property is situated on the Texas side of South Toledo Bend Lake. The public boat launch is located next to the property and has a small beach area. Kayak up the cove then come back and relax by the fire pit as you enjoy a beautiful sunset. Grills and picnic tables are outside on the deck for outdoor dining. (Just bring your own green bottles of propane and/or charcoal.) There is one camera that views the side porch to monitor the property when not in use. Once you are checked in you are more than welcome to unplug the device during your stay.

Weekend Getaway

We had a very relaxing weekend stay. Even when the storm came through. The atmosphere of the cabin is very relaxing and cozy. The host is extremely helpful in every way. The only problem we had was how hot the master bedroom stayed.

Cozy, private, and relaxing

This was the perfect weekend getaway with the family, we really enjoyed swimming and boating around we were able to launch our boat close to the cabin and keep it in the water all weekend!

Fun place to stay

Wonderful view and lake property. Quiet private location. We spent our entire time outside, enjoying the deck for cooking, listening to music and then kayaking. The A frame was tastefully decorated with open floorpan. The only drawback was the blackstone was not cleaned and the outdoor grill was nasty, the table that they were both placed on was vintage, wobbly and had peeling paint. We found the host very accommodating and will go back again. the few things we found inconvenient are easily fixed.

Awesome stay!

Everything was really great! My family and I enjoyed every minute of our trip. We spent Easter weekend and had so many fun places to hide Easter eggs. My husband and son caught a few small bass off the dock (which of course they threw back), but it’s always fun to catch. Everything was exactly as described in the listing plus extras. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed playing poker for fun with the nice set of poker chips.I definitely recommend this cabin and can’t wait for our next trip!

Great getaway

Everything was wonderful, just like pictures and comfortable beds! Kids loved fishing off the dock. The rain kept us off the lake but there were plenty of games for us to play inside. Plenty of room for the 8 of us

Quick family get away

Stayed here while our son had a fishing tournement. The house was very clean, well kept amd comfortable. We would stay here again.

A so so stay

First off the pictures made the place look better than it actually is. Just FYI host has camera and watches and listens without letting u know. That had me a bit uncomfortable. The air conditioner broke while we were there and host did come over to fix it but then it was left up to my husband to keep an eye on things bc it wasn’t actually fixed it was just rigged up to work. The place is good if u want very secluded but if not everything is very very far … groceries over half hour away!! All in all I’d say the stay was so so

Grandkids family reunion 2024!

One way to get ALL the grandkids and 1 great grand together for a long weekend is to get a sweet place at the lake! This cabin was the perfect location and so clean and welcoming! Little things like welcoming treats, nice bedding and plenty of everything you’d need ! The camp is clean, everything works and two kayaks with life vests made this time so memorable! Ample parking and a dock to sit at made for this Nannie a great opportunity to enjoy the family with no worries! Thank you for sharing your place!

Celebration Weekend

This was the cutest, most perfect house for our weekend with friends and family. It is a nice family friendly neighborhood, right on the water and by the boat launch. The only thing I will say is if there multiple vehicles and boats it is a tight driveway/space but we made it work with 3 boats and 4 vehicles!

Perfect Lake House with Every Detail Thought Of!

We loved swimming on the large dock, canoeing, and sipping coffee with the perfect view on the lake front deck! The owners thought of everything you would need from drawers full of games and puzzles, everything you would need in the kitchen, and even Q-tips in the bathroom in case you forgot them! Even the view from the master bedroom window was gorgeous! The upstairs loft bedroom was perfect too! I loved how the house is laid out and decorated! We would definitely recommend this place! We’ve stayed at four different places on Toledo Bend and this was definitely the best!

Great family time!!

All was great! Everyone had a really good time! Kids fished a lot! Found a beach close by so we could sit hang out and swim! The house is great as well and super cute! Loved the view from the loft!

Great stay

Owners were very kind and helpful. Property is well taken care of and comfortable. Small boat dock to leave boats in the water and charge overnight. Boat launch is conveniently located right next door. Will definitely be staying again.
