Muwu in Wading River - secluded cabin with private beach and built in sauna

A beautiful cabin in the woods with private beach access (a short walk to the beach from the house). The cabin comes with luxurious amenities such as herbal sauna, spacious dual shower bathroom, 12 inch memory foam king bed, radiant floor heating, and gorgeous 25 ft tall ceilings. Create your best memories here!

The space
The house is an open floor loft layout. The great room has a 25 ft tall ceiling with huge windows. You can soak in all the nature. The house comes with a private sauna and a huge dual shower. The main sleep area is the open loft with the king size bed on the second floor (a daybed is also in this room). It's open to blew and not enclosed. The secondary sleeping area is a small enclosed bedroom also on the second floor with queen size bed.

There is 10-15 minutes walk to the beach property from the house. The beach is not adjacent to the house. I promise you it's worth the walk! Not only it's gorgeous, you are likely to have the whole beach to yourselves!

Guest access

Guests have access to everything but the laundry room and the mechanic room. Pets are prohibited in the sauna or the shower. Any violation will result in a $200 fine. If you come back from the beach, you and your pets need to rinse off sand, please do so using the hose outdoors. Pets are not allowed in the shower.

Other things to note

All pets are welcome! Pet fee applies. 2 animals maximum. Pet fee does not cover pet accidents and other damages caused by pets. Pets are prohibited in the sauna. Violations will result in a $200 fine.

The lights in the house are controlled by Google home. Please refer to the instruction manual on the coffee table for instructions. Please DO NOT remove any switch covers to avoid a $200 reconfiguration fee.

The property was amazing. The house was clean, and well furnished. All in all we had an amazing stay. Only issue we ran into was a neighbor, which is out of the VRBOs control. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Long Island area, it was very easy to get everywhere we needed from this location!

The house was immaculate and gorgeous and comfortable.The host went above and beyond to be helpful and made sure we had a pleasant stay. The area had many fun things to do and the beach was an added bonus--so beautiful, quiet, and private. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would come back again!!!

Really Cool Place, Very Difficult Host. Do Not Stay Here

Let me start by saying there are some genuinely great aspects to this property. The unit is in a great location. The shower and sauna were definite highlights. And to the host’s credit, she did make the effort to come out personally to address the cooling issue, which we appreciated. The place was also mostly clean upon arrival.Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for us.Once you check in, you'll be greeted with a 10-page rule book. The vibe quickly shifted to walk on eggshells and pray you don’t incur a fine.” Apparently, flipping a light switch will set you back 250. Now, about that AC… or lack thereof. The unit never dropped below 80F (27C) during our entire stay during the day. At night, we went to bed with the unit at over 75 degrees. We followed every instruction the host gave us, including a FaceTime walkthrough where she confirmed our settings and even recommended opening windows to help with airflow. With the windows open the amount of bugs in the unit became an issue. Including seeing spiders in our beds. Imagine our shock when, after checkout, the host filed a complaint against us—accusing us of misuse and charging us 1,500 opening windows and using the AC she told us to use. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and it left us feeling deeply frustratrated and taken advantage of.I would think twice before staying at one of this host's properties. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's a very quiet neighborhood mostly covered by woods. Please respect the quiet neighborhood and avoid disturbing the peace during your stay. I try to keep all bugs out, but since it’s a wooded area, it’s inevitable sometimes an ant/spider/fly/moth etc will get into the house. Please do not book if you are uncomfortable.

Driving is the easiest way to get here, but there are 3 nearby LIRR stations: Yaphank (15 minutes), Riverhead (20 minutes), Port Jefferson(25 minutes).
