Wonderful destination with plenty of scenery and history to take-in. We loved the smooth check-in process and independence of the location. The cottage was lovely on the outside, the interior was just as described in the listing, and all the amenities and appliances were accessible to our needs. We were able to get to the property with no problems, and check-out without any hiccups. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in a compellingly historic location that can provide insight into one of the most interesting artistic figures of her era.

Pope’s Museum Cottage is a welcome cozy respite in the most beautiful setting of the exquisitely manicured grounds of the historical landmark. My pet was so at home at happy to run in The enormous fenced area available, especially after a long drive.I so enjoyed learning about the history of the museum… and meeting the owners.I look forward to visiting family again and the opportunity to stay in the cottage again! Thanks Michelle and Dan for all of your effort in restoration!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

This property is located in rural area where farming and fishing go hand in hand in this area. The natural habitat includes wild birds of many sizes and species as well as deer, rabbits and more. We love fields of "Georgia snow" (aka cotton) and groves of pecan trees throughout the area.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Unquestionably, Pope's Museum and the cottage is more than just an overnight accommodation; it is a destination. Be sure and schedule a tour of the entire grounds and learn why the U.S. National Park Service lists it as a feature destination for lovers of art, women's history and U.S history.
