When arriving, you will step inside to a sunlit Nantucket-style beach cottage with glowing hardwood floors. The open living room has a six-person gray sectional with ample seating around a 54in TV and a gas fireplace. Blue walls recall the ocean, skylights let the California sun in, and a jute area rug adds to the beachy feel.

A dining table seats four below an elegant chandelier, with the newly remodeled kitchen just beyond that is stocked with all of the essentials you will need for meal prep during your stay. You will love the 'Beachy' vibe found throughout all living spaces of the home. Laundry facilities are located at the back of the kitchen as well.

The first bedroom has two twin beds and an adorable boat theme. An en-suite bathroom has blue walls and white wainscoting with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a king bed with botanical linens, a double-door mirrored closet, a bureau, and a sitting chair. Sliding double doors lead to the third bedroom, furnished with a queen bed, a comfy couch, and a 22in TV. Another door leads out to the kitchen. A roomy full bathroom in the hall has a tub/shower combination.

The backyard is a refreshing private patio that is bursting with gorgeous vegetation, while the jacuzzi offers a place to relax and soak up some rays. Have dinner outdoors at a dining table for six -- the grill is nearby, and if it gets chilly, there's a heater to warm things up.

With the beach steps from your door and the grocery store an easy bike trip away, this quintessential California beach cottage makes your SoCal vacation as carefree as it should be. You can also visit the quaint towns of Ojai or Santa Barbara within a 30-minute drive, or stay local and explore downtown Ventura, accessible via the trolley or a 5-minute drive.

We stayed here 2013. Things are degraded. Screen door handle is broken, gate door is degraded, the TV is blurred, the internet is slow.

Beautiful beach just a couple houses down. No air conditioning, which is normal for homes in Ventura. We used fans to keep cool. Home was clean and a short walk to restaurants too.

Cute Beach House

We found the property to be clean, in good condition, comfortable, and in a great location, with only a short walk to the beach. It is also near restaurants, grocery store, & other services. We would stay here again.

Great beach house!

The house was exactly as described. Our family of 5 had a wonderful time. The sleeping arrangements were perfect, and the layout of the house was nice for a group. The location was the best part, just a couple houses away from a beautiful beach! Loved our vacation!

Perfect little cottage

We loved this beach cottage! The location is perfect, the house is cozy, the backyard is a dream, and it’s close to everything so you can easily walk or ride bikes to town for groceries or dining out. Loved it and will stay here again. One suggestion is to have a mat for the bathtub as it’s very slippery. Really enjoyed our time here.

Best overall experience

The location was absolutely the top of the list of things that were great about this place. It was extremely clean and stocked with the basic necessities. The hot tub was amazing and the atmosphere inside and out was so inviting! My daughter misplaced a favorite stuffed animal when we left and there was an immediate response and willingness to help and locate it! Thankfully it was found stuffed in a suitcase but the owners were prompt and very kind about trying to help! Would love to stay here again!

Ladies Over 60 Weekend

Just what we needed for the soul. A group of our lady friends getaway. Perfect location to the beach to watch the sunset and walking distance to neighborhood restaurants. Quick drive to Downtown Ventura for restaurants, clothing/vintage shops, coffee shops and more. Had plenty of beds to sleep for 6 comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen (everything you need), comfy sectional sofa and dining table within the living room. Perfect for hanging out. Cute courtyard in the back for a breakfast hangout They have a jacuzzi but we didn’t use it. Definitely enjoyed ourselves and will keep this rental bookmarked for a return trip.

Two day Family Getaway

Great spot. Is just like the pictures show. Comfortable bedrooms and nice baths. Very nice kitchen. Immaculate throughout. 2 parents and 4 grown children (actually men and women!). Big living room area with plenty of seating. Lovely private back patio with lush garden. And only 50 yards to the beach. Had a great 2 days wining and dining around Ventura and Ojai.

Ideal Beach Bungalow

We loved this beach bungalow! Perfect location, comfy living room for chilling together after a busy day. Kitchen was super functional. Loved the skylights that open to get fresh air in. Only complaints are that the windows are really old and almost impossible to move in their track to open or close. Also, the twin beds were so uncomfortable and squeaky that our daughter (23 years old) opted for the couch after the first night and slept much better on the couch.

Good location

The house is nice overall. It is very close to the beach which is great. The home owner next store to the home doesnt seem very friendly and doesnt seem to like renters being next to her home. She was rude about telling us to move one of our vehicles which we did as soon as she told us not to park one of our vehicles where we initially parked it. Guess we didnt do it fast enough for her and she came yelling at us about it.. also that neighbor is doing construction on their home and it is noisy from the work they are doing everyday...Besides the neighbor being rude and the construction noise the home is located very close to the beach and the rooms were sufficient. The wifi worked well and the patio heater worked well aslo...Overall we had a great stay and besides being a little annoyed by a cranky neighbor we had a good time at the beach with my family...thanks to the owners for answering the few questions I had, its a good little beach house with a great location. Thank you..

Gas leak whole house

Oven leaks gas so bad the whole house smelled. Mgt company told us to open the windows. When the carbon dioxide alarms went off in the house, the mgt company said it was no big deal because the gas company had just checked out the house. We did not feel safe using the oven and no one came throughout our 5 day stay to check on oven. We had made rolls and several items for dinner which couldn’t be cooked. Shower didn’t work so we had only a bath. Reported to mgt company on day 2 and no one came to fix it during our stay. Washing machine had wet towels it it, which we didn’t realize until we wanted to do wash on day 4. I didn't pay to do other people’s laundry. Primary bedspread had large stain on it. I paid a lot for a house with a shower and an oven and did not get that st all. Will not use mtg company or stay at that house again.
