Unobstructed views take your gaze over the expansive cattle ranch leading you to the foot of Mount Langley, Mount Whitney, Horseshoe Meadows, Mount Williamson and more. Where the cattle graze in the morning sunlight, and the coyote howls at heavens magical twilight, the life on the Lone Hunter Ranch has its way of taking you to the land before time. Life in its simplest most precious existence.

Ultimate serene type get-away. The view was like no other….Alabama Hills and Eastern Sierra.We were fortunate to have snow which added to the beauty of the place. Just stunning. The house was lovely and contained all we needed. Lydia was responsive to our questions, and did check in without prompting. We plan on returning but probably not soon enough!

Weekend getaway

This location exceeded our expectations to say the least. Even better than the photos that are provided. I CANNOT wait to come back. The views, sounds of birds and cows, seeing little bunnies hopping around, laying in the tub while humming birds drink nectar from the flowers, just absolutely amazing.

Perfect Place

This property was truly amazing. She has created a magical place for you to get away and enjoy the unique ambiance that the property provides. A very private place (with all you could need) with spectacular views. She has created a very special place where you can go to get away, relax, enjoy some adventure. I would definitely stay again!

Amazing property and house

The Lonewest is a true retreat. Waking to the full panorama of the Sierra was sublime. The house was exceptionally well designed and decorated. Loved the art work. Everything about this property exceeded expectation. We hated to leave!

Absolutely perfect!

Lonewest is and was absolutely perfect! - Amazingly relaxing, peaceful, rejuvenating, and the night time stars were perfect! - Is only a 17 minute drive from Mount Whitney trailhead and a quick 10 minute drive to the Main Street in Lone Pine. Lydia was super communicative and the property was spot on, breathtaking and my wife and I will absolutely be staying here again.Thank you!

Fabulous Property - Amazing View

The Lonewest is a fabulous property with unobstructed and unbeatable views! The quiet and watching the wildlife was thoroughly enjoyable. We made use of the huge two-person tub right off the deck. Fun hiking very close. The host is very friendly, warm, and welcoming. We did not want to leave! Highly recommend!

Simply amazing

Of course the location and view were spectacular, but the accommodations were simply amazing. Lots of open views when you are inside thanks to the beautiful glass doors. It was very chic and very, very comfortable. Everything is there that you need and it’s all very stylish. We did not want to leave. Hope to come and stay again.

Mountain desert oasis

We loved Lonewest and will definitely be back. Lydia was super communicative and responsive. The property is unique, serene, and has everything you could need. The views and outdoor tub are unbeatable. If you’re on the fence, just book it! You won’t regret it.

Inoubliable

Très belle surprise en arrivant sur place : tout est même mieux que ce que nous avions imaginé ! La qualité de l’emplacement, la décoration, le matériel à disposition sont juste INCROYABLES. SEULS AU MONDE PENDANTS 48h que nous ne sommes pas prêts d’oublier. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse même pour une visite de la Death Valley. Un peu loin mais super combo.

Born in Canada. I was a professional ballet dancer with the National Ballet of Canada many moons ago. I now love to hike, swim, build and host unique homes, spend time with my chocolate lab Ripper and continue to be a mom to 3 boys. Happy to meet my guests and happy to give them all the privacy they desire. Most important I feel truly fortunate to share my property that Im proud of and call this my home.

この宿泊施設の特徴

When my eyes came upon this land and its roaming cattle herd, I fell in love with its rawness and its Wild West landscape. It was as if I'd been placed back in time, riding horse and wagon along the backdrop of the epic Eastern Sierra Mountain range. I was awestruck. The Lone Hunter Ranch is named after the town of Lonepine and the road that it lives but to me it also represents the "lonehunter "in us that travels in search of adventure, purpose and simplicity. It is the hunter of life. The lone hunter is the lone seeker. I am forever grateful to call this property my home. Forever grateful to share The Lone West with you.
