Horrible host

We arrived after making full payments. The host provided incorrect check in information and wrong gate codes. When contacted the host cancelled the reservation. We were then stuck in Puerto Rico with no housing. We ended up getting a hotel nearby for nearly triple the costalmost triple the cost since it was last minut

Worst vacation rental experience in 8 years using the platform

This was the worst vacation rental experience I've had after using the VRBO platform for 8 years. The tiny shower had no hot water and was not cleaned before we arrived. Half the beds were missing sheets. A roof leak caused rainwater to drip on one of the beds and flooded the floor for two nights. The coqui frogs screamed all night at this location. There are 4 codes to memorize for getting into and out of the property.

Not what was expected

We booked the place for 2 days and arrived very late on the first day. The property manager was communicating on the check-in day. We were impressed with the attentiveness. Once we entered, our enthusiasm went away. The place was not what we expected. It appeared that it was not clean after the previous guests had left. The place smelled like mold. The beds smelled like urine. The sheets were stained, had sand and hair. We stayed only because it was past midnight. We left early the next morning, and stayed in a hotel close by. The property manager was nice enough to refund the second day. Not a place we would book again.

One star for Anthony, who was very responsive to questions and helpful. One star for location - close to everything in San Juan. Otherwise, I would not recommend property. It smelled of bleach on arrival but not sure what had been cleaned. It was dusty and had ants on countertops. Broken tiles, dirty floors. Thank goodness the air conditioning worked! There was only one shower door, so water went everywhere with every shower. The door also did not move well in track. Bathroom also very, very small. No hot water. A mini heater attached to faucet only made shower lukewarm. Also, photo of 'second floor view' is deceiving because rental is on first floor, in back of house, with no view out of any window and no access to second floor. The experience was disappointing but we really only used to sleep.

Exactly what we expected!

It was a place we expected to stay during our 3-day tour of San Juan; very clean, comfortable, secure, and relaxing. This place is so close to groceries, restaurants, beach. We had the pleasure to meet Anthony, the owner, while staying there. He is very nice and had much information of the area and things to do while visiting...he turned us on to the world of Uber, which is the absolute best app to have when traveling!

Location is great. Good restaurants with in walking distance. The problem with the water intrusion from the outside into one of the bedrooms needs to be addressed promptly carpet was wet during the whole stay, mold is growing on the walls.

Perfect place to stay

Close to the grocery store, nice restraurants, the convention center and a quiet beach. Nice locked carport, note that it is shared with the upstairs apartment, don't park in the middle. Very responsive owner- answered any concerns promptly! Ideal for a family, or a couple looking to relax after a hot day! Left a valuable item behind, very helpful in returning it! Recommend without reservations!

Good experience with owner

I reserved this place for my Christmas vacation, but had to cancel before my trip. I was bummed because the place looks great, and the location and price can not be beat. The owner of the property was very attentive and responsive, and efficient in getting my full refund processed. It was a pleasure doing business with him. I am saving this property on my favorites, and recommending it to my friends visiting PR.
