We love staying at this sweet home. It’s the perfect size for our family of 4 and is well located. Tahoe park is such a wonderful amenity. We hope to make this an annual trip!

Great spot

Family reunion

The cabin was perfect, clean and very comfortable for our stay with our daughter and grandchildren. Especially liked the location as you can walk to the association’s private beach, pier and West Shore Market. Will hope to stay at this property next time we come from the East Coast to visit family who live up the street.

Favorite spot near Sunnyside

This is our second year here over the 4th of July. We love the set-up of the cabin layout and all the amenities. The frontyard is an added bonus. Feel lucky to have found this place.

Perfect vacation

Newly remodeled house in super convenient location... near Palisades and many restaurants and shops in Tahoe City. The house was just as described. Communication from property owner was prompt and courteous. Hope to stay here again soon.

Sweet Tahoe spot near Sunnyside ☀️

Great place for family and friends. Located on a very nice street, cabin comes with a front yard and backyard. The hot tub is huge with lots of bubbles. Cabin layout is open and style is wonderful. Can’t wait until the next time ❤️🚤⛰️

Tasteful Tahoe!

The upgrades and decor are tasteful and modern. It was very comfortable for our family. The hot tub was a fun addition. This would be a great house for kids who could play in the large yard and on the flat quiet street. Great location!

Return of Spring Snow Break

This was our second time spending Spring Break and Easter at this cottage and it was great just like last year. We were in our own little ice cave and they had cleared the hot tub for access which was impressive given the amount of snow. Perfect cottage for small family. Will stay again! Cute, clean, great location & amenities

This place was exactly as advertised. The location and neighborhood were lovely. We adored the electric fireplace & hot tub. The beds were very comfortable and it had all the amenities we needed to make all our meals for our young family of 5. Could use a new tea kettle though as the latch is broken on the current one so it’s hard to pour the hot water.

Nice place for small family reunion.

LA and Oregon family met in Tahoe for variety of activities. The house was small but worked out fine. We loved walking to Spoon restaurant and market. We went on some hikes and kayaked from State Park down the hill. Your notebook could use an update, especially about accessing the park available for short term rentals.

Darling cottage in great location!

The home was very clean and bright with everything we needed. Located walking distance to lake and Sunnyside (and Fire Sign - yum!) and just a short drive to Tahoe City. Property owner was very responsive to any questions that arose. PLENTY of hot water (and great water pressure) with tankless water heater. Great outdoor seating in both front and back. We would love to stay here again.

I almost don’t want to say this

Here is the deal: this place is a dream!!!! Here is why I don’t want to tell you how good this place is because I want it to stay our little secret place and always be available when we want to go. If you’re looking for a comfy, cozy, and crazy stay… on top of nature, right by the lake, with a hot tub!!! Oh then stay here! We cannot wait to get back and enjoy this place. The hosts are phenomenal and have gone above and beyond to make their place at the top of the pack. You will love it too.

Beautiful cabin & perfect location

We loved this little house! It was the perfect size for us (three adults, one child) and had everything we needed. The location can't be beat. Walking distance to Sunnyside, Firesign, the new awesome, little market and Tahoe Park (HOA) beach access. The park includes a playground, bocce, horseshoe, picnic tables, beach, pier, among other things. The newly redone market is really cute with sandwiches, and all the grocery needs right there (we grabbed cheese and salami and wine, and s'mores makings for dessert). The hot tub at the house was so fun, and completed the adorable little backyard (includes great firepit). Everything looked just like the pictures. The decor is SO well done. It matters to me that a house be cute, and this one was from the linens, to the couch and table, to the photographs on the wall. Picture perfect. Oh and the beds were ridiculously comfy (think hotel W heavenly beds). Thanks for having us! We'll be back.

nice home, poor communication

The house is nice. the location is great. Needs a little extra cleaning and living room furniture needs to be replaced. All other details were as described. We were not sent updated info on how to get into the home and had no phone or internet service to reach out to the property manager since the password given to us did not work. The password had been changed. They were a few other questions we had which was not clearly stated or described. In other words communication was lacking

Hi Abby - we are sorry you felt like our home was only three stars! We do our absolute best to be available to our renters and feel we do a good job of it. Yes, things do come up from time to time and miscommunication does happen - which we very much try to avoid - but also try to make right when it does. We haven't had anyone else complain about the cleaning in years so we are a bit confused by this statement especially since you never mentioned it to us. We've only heard rave reviews about the living room furniture - this is a Tahoe rental so we have tried hard to choose items that are durable as well as comfortable - we are sorry they did not live up to your expectations.

Three C's - Clean, Cozy, Convenient

This little cabin was a delight to stay in. It's so cute and cozy it makes you want to live there permanently. It's location is close to the Lake(with beach access), a short drive to Squaw Valley and all of it's attractions, bike rentals and restaurants within walking distance. The fire pit in the back yard is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and visit with friends. We had 4 adults and 2 children and never felt crowded. Kitchen was well stocked, (except for the coffee pot there is a Keurig but a Mr. Coffee or similar would of been a better fit for us since we are all morning coffee drinkers), the beds were comfortable and all the towels and linens that you would need were provided. In case you are hooked on watching TV there is no "real" TV , no cable or satellite, you can hook up through some type of internet things. WIFI is supplied and works great. All in all a great place to stay and relax we loved it and will rent it again. Josh and Erin have done a great job with making this cabin comfortable and homey feeling. They were helpful and responded quickly to any question we had.

Thank you for the positive feedback! Erin and I are happy to hear that you enjoyed the home. I like your idea about adding a coffee maker and we will get one in there soon so that future guests have the option. So far, we've found that many of our guests really like the Keurig option because it is so quick and easy. We have also added cable TV, so nothing will be missed between that, Netflix, Pandora, Hulu and all the other great options available through the high speed internet that we have covered. Just left this property

Pros 1. Close to the lake and love the private HOW beach. 2. Front yard is nice place to sit out and look at nature vs the backyard. Cons 1. This house is very small! 2. The house needs a deep cleaning ! 3. In the house, the back area where the washer and dryer are has painted plywood flooring. The owners should invest in continuing the flooring that is in the rest of the downstairs. Kinda creepy. 4. Can’t open dishwasher all the way. The oven is in the way. 5. Water heater doesn’t have enough hot water for more than one shower. This isn’t ideal with four adults and a 3 year old. 6. Carpet needs a deep cleaning or replaced… disgusting! 7. The bathroom windows do have window coverings and the neighbors can see in. Overall… the experience with this house is just ok, not 2 or 3 stars worthy.

Hi Kathy, We know you are angry that we charged you for the damage you and your group did to our home but we are sad to see that this is how you've decided to deal with it as much of what you said is simply not true. What is true is that this is the first time we have ever had to charge a renter for extra cleaning, to reimburse us for extra work our cleaning folks had to do after you left. 1 - Yes you are correct on this one - the house is not huge. We state this in our description of the home. This is also why we have a 6 person maximum (4 adults and 2 children max). 2 - The home just had a deep cleaning this Spring. Which we do every year. 3 - Yes the back laundry room / mud room does not have the same new hardwood floors as the rest of the home. This is an area to dry off from the hot tub and where skis, ski boots and wet ski clothes are typically stored to dry - we are quite happy with the flooring since it is a high traffic and sometimes wet area. We have never heard of functional flooring in a mudroom described as 'creepy' and have never had a complaint about it until now. To be honest, this room is a super important area with lots of windows and light and we are quite happy with it. 4 - If the dishwasher is closed, the oven opens with no issues. 5 - We have an instant water heater and we have never ever had an issue with not having enough hot water in the 8 years we have owned the home. We have had many guests use it one after the other with no problem. No other guest has ever had an issue with not having enough hot water that we are aware of. 6 - The carpet, like the hardwood floors, are in very good shape and we have it deep cleaned (along with the rest of the house) at least once a year. 7 - There are absolutely no neighbors that are able to see in the bathrooms.

Cute cottage in a great location

What a lovely cottage. My family wanted to get away for the weekend and this property was a great place to relax after a hectic thanksgiving. The property was very clean when we arrived and nicely decorated. Our party of 4 adults, 1 toddler and a 5 month old slept comfortably in this cabin. (Beds were nicely firm with soft bedding) The location can't be beat as it is walking distance to fire sign cafe, sunnyside market, the beach and spoon. The backyard was a perfect place for my 2 year old daughter to play in the snow. Don't get me started on the hot tub! So amazing. It was super cold during our stay and that hot tub was pure bliss. Ive stayed at other cabins where I wouldn't touch the hot tub due to sanitation problems. Not this time. One issue that did come up was the Internet. It didn't work the whole time we were there. I texted Erin and josh and they promptly responded to my concerns which I greatly appreciated. Ultimately, we were only there for 2 nights so it didn't make that big of a difference and being off the grid can be nice. Had we stayed longer, functioning Internet would be preferred. We'll definitely think about staying here again for a week in the summer. Thanks Erin and Josh!

Amazing little house!!

This house has been one of the best appointed properties I have ever stayed at. The furnishing is stylish while sturdy, the location is hard to beat, and the place is a pleasure to stay at. Clean and well maintained. Some amazing highlights of this cabin: 1. All windows have blackout blinds. Let me say this again, BLACKOUT BLINDS!! So cool. You can sleep in or take an afternoon nap without even noticing the time of day! 2. Mud room and laundry room. Amazing spaces, both of them. They deserve their own pictures, the laundry room is as large as a bedroom and there is enough room to have a dance party. It also has two windows and two doors, figure that! 3. The hot tub. My kids pretty much spent our entire vacation in the hot tub! And a back yard! With grass! And a fire pit! This place is too good to be true! A few things to note, there is absolutely NO ATT reception at the house. None. Zip. No service. This is really an upside in a lot of ways, but if you're trying to find the email where the access instructions are- it's not so good! I wish I had wifi access instructions beforehand! We had to bring our own pack and play, which was a bit of a drag, and that is the only reason the place gets 4 stars instead of 5, but I understand- the rooms are tight and there was not an obvious place where to put it. The cabin is REALLY close to everything. If you don't want to get int he car, walk down to the beach, stop for a bite at Firesign Cafe, pick up some basic (high end!) groceries at the store and then head back to the cabin for a BBQ and a hot tub dip! Amazing. Everything about this place was a pleasure. Oh, and the neighbors are super friendly and nice, too.

Charming, Convenient and Exactly as Described

We stayed in this charming home February 16-20, 2017 and found it exactly as described by the owner. It was very conveniently located with a small market and deli within walking distance and just minutes from downtown Tahoe City, which offered a quaint movie theater, shopping, restaurants, and a large grocery store. Ski resorts were within 15 minute drive even when snowing. When we arrived we found the home very clean and had all amenities promised. The WiFi worked great throughout the home. It was very easy to work with the owners who were responsive to our inquiries both before, during and after our stay. Our cleaning deposit was promptly processed and returned. There were only two of us so we only slept in two of the three bedrooms (master and downstairs), but the beds were comfortable, the linens nice, and there were plenty of blankets and towels. Both bathrooms had been recently remodeled. Plenty of hot water and water pressure in the master shower (which was the only one we used). The kitchen was well equipped with a new gas stove, Keurig coffee machine and a regular coffee maker with bean grinder. There were plenty of dishes, utensils and cooking equipment including garlic press, lemon press, wine opener and most tools a home cook would need during a vacation. Tahoe had a lot of snow this season so the back yard was completely covered (over six feet of snow in the back) while we there, so can't comment as to the yard, but the hot tub was accessible from the back porch (we didn't use it, but could have done so). Fireplace worked well and there were clear instructions for both the flue and the TV/DVD/Internet and everything else in and around the home. There was a binder with a map to nearby areas of interest. Just an FYI, there is no cable or network TV, but the TV is set up for internet access for HULU, Amazon prime or anything else available over the internet to which you subscribe. We knew this going in, but didn't remember until we got there. Also, there are no toiletries and very limited grocery staples, so bring with you everything you may need (except linens, soap, toilet paper, paper towels and one box of tissue). Again, this was clearly disclosed by the Owner in advance, but we forgot some of the basics (hence knowing where the stores are). We will definitely look to stay here again in the future if we return to the area.

We have spent our whole life vacationing or living in Tahoe and we wanted our kids to have a place to get away. The key to Tahoe in the summer is having access to the Lake and Tahoe Park, which has a private homeowners beach (which comes free with the home) with two piers, tons of grass, playgrounds, basketball courts, horseshoes, BBQs and picnic tables. You can access hiking, biking and many other great activities right out your front door. The kids will love catching crawdads on the pier while you read at the beach! You are walking distance to everything you need for a few days and only a couple of miles from town for anything bigger you may need.

We chose this house in this neighborhood for several reasons. The lot is completely flat and the few blocks around us offer some great room for kids to ride bikes or run around. We love sitting on the front porch in the morning drinking tea and reading the paper. At night we sit on the back porch and enjoy a barbecued dinner while the kids run around and play in the hot tub. In the winter, the large stone fireplace provides warmth for domino games, movie nights, or just snuggling up with a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine.
