This was a perfect place to visit the park with a family! Beautiful Windows overlooking the meadow behind the house made for great mornings and warm evenings. The house was equipped with everything to make our trip enjoyable.

Bar harbor home near Acadia

We had a wonderful stay. The house was so conveniently located near the Acadia entrance and had everything we needed. We would recommend to others and would be happy to stay there again!

The house was in a great location, close to trails and restaurants but away from the business of downtown bar harbor. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room to spread out. We loved watching deer and birds in the meadow. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Wonderful stay!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The location is perfect. The space is so comfortable. We were traveling with a one year old and there was even a pack and play and booster seat avaliable. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again one day.

This is a lovely and peaceful property. My family and I enjoyed walks through the meadow and evenings listening to the radio, while playing cards. This home is close to all the things - Acadia National Park, the city center of Bar Harbor and restaurants. Sasha is a fabulous communicator and guided us to sunset watching spots that were away from the crowds. We would rebook at this beautiful property again!

Hidden Gem

Sasha place was amazing! Fun place far enough off the roadway to not hear the traffic and give you a sense of being off the beaten path. We really enjoyed the quiet location very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The back yard was very private and great place to relax. The neighbors were very friendly and even got us some fresh lobsters for one of our dinners! Thank you Sasha!!

Comfortable beds, very nice layout to the home; we always like a nice size table for family time (meals or games), and this table had a lovely view. Great deck around 3 sides of the house for sitting and enjoying the breeze and a peaceful evening after a day of hiking, etc. The area is quiet & surrounded by nature, and also close to town. Convenient to come and go to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and even Pirate mini golf and ice cream nearby. Very clean and well-supplied; we would not change a thing.

Wonderful Week

My husband and I really loved our stay here. It is such a cute home and it had everything we needed to make our time there restful and enjoyable. We loved that it is just minutes from an entrance to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place for our family (2 Grandparents, 2 Grandchildren (8, 10) to stay when visiting Acadia National Park. Clean, comfortable. New grill. As presented. Easy communication with Sasha (owner). Only 2 miles from Hulls Cove visitor center and free buses anywhere in park. Over 4 days we hiked Gorham Mountain, Ship Harbor trail (Southwest Harbor area), walked the bar at low tide, shopped in tourist stores, took Illesford cruise with park ranger - excellent), played mini-golf at Pirates Cove, walked some carriage trails. Avoided Jordan Pond (we dislike crowds).

Peaceful Stay in Bar Harbour

The home was in a great location just outside downtown Bar Harbour, so a short drive to town and the Acadia National Park entrance. It was equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our dog loved exploring the meadow out back too. We'd love to come back at some point!

Great location

If you are going to Acadia NP it is a great location. Bar Harbor is easy distance away. House sits off the road a little so minimal traffic noise. The deck is a great place to relax.

Peaceful Lovely Home

The pictures don’t show how big this place is, the ceiling goes on forever! We loved this home, especially the loft upstairs, and the meadow outside felt heavenly. We would love to come back.

I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and moved to Maine in 2003 with my good friend and (who is a Bar Harbor local) to pursue a career as a marine biologist. I fell in love with the house the moment I laid eyes on it! Since buying the house, I have worked primarily in Alaska, and lived in Colorado and now Washington, but travel back to stay in my little home as often as possible! I am a dog person (mostly Australian cattle dogs), so the house is very dog friendly! In 2013, we began fostering Australian cattle dogs through the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association. We fostered 16 dogs, including a mom and her 9 3.5-week-old pups! If you notice the chewed trim in the guest room, you can thank those sweet puppies for that.

I now have two young kids and love bringing them to Maine to experience the magic of Acadia and MDI. I love my little home on the island, and hope you will too!

My friend Matt grew up in Bar Harbor, and quickly showed me everything there is to love about the area. I lived there for two years before deciding to settle there. The bustle of the town during the summer, followed by the quietude of the winter make it a perfect little haven.

I lucked out with the location of my home. It is located close to town, the ocean, and Acadia National Park, and less than a mile from Pirate's Cove Mini Golf, but are also off the main road enough that it is a quiet and peaceful location. The back yard is a huge meadow full of wildflowers and blueberries, sunrises and sunsets, lightening bugs, birds (including some resident barred owls that tend to roost on our trees and call throughout the summer, hummingbirds, and lots of songbirds), and deer, and a perfect shaded area to relax in the hammock or BBQ on the deck.

I bought my house because I walked in and instantly fell in love. It's a very easy place to fall in love with. The floor plan and the beautiful pine interior, plus the vast meadow in the back, complete with blueberries, wildflowers, painted sunsets and starry skies made the place a little piece of heaven.
