Beautiful location

The property was clean and on the ocean. The property management was excellent with updates due to a storm. We would stay again.

On the Water

It was an experience we've never had staying "ON" the water and it was fun! Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay. Parking and unloading was a task but was well worth the experience of being over the water. We will be back!

Relaxing getaway

House is right on the water. You can hear the waves as you drift off at night. Very relaxing! House is nicely decorated and roomy. Would love to stay here again!

4 day stay on beach

Overall I felt the home was comfortable with good amenities, though it’s a little dated with some wear. The location was great you can’t get any closer to the beach for sure. It was great for my husband and I and our teens. Hearing the waves throughout the night obs so peaceful! My only complaints are WiFi is slow, and we saw lots of roaches during our stay.

Great location but property needs alot of work.

Overall a cute house, but these pictures they used are years old it seems. This house needs alot of work. There are outside doors that dont close properly, windows that are broken- we had to be careful with our little ones because they could have easily cut themselves, the deck needs boards replaced- very unsafe, again my little ones could have easily fallen off the deck through the hole they tried to cover with a propane tank or the broken spindles that needed to be reattached to deck. The air conditioning did not work when we got there- we contacted property manager and they did send someone out the same night, unfortunately we were without air for the night as they had to replace the air conditioning unit the next day. They then proceeded to leave the ladder up on the outside of the house for our whole week stay- and again the little ones could have easily climbed up this if we were not paying full attention. Overall the property was decorated very nicely and was in a nice location on the island. If we ever did decide to come back we would not be staying at this property.

Great relaxing location

Our overall stay was wonderful! The location and the views were the best! The home is nice, but is in need of a little maintenance. The microwave took 5 minutes just to soften butter. Never could get it to melt. The oven control panel has been pushed in. It still works, at least. The doors are very hard to latch when closing. Probably due to the salt water. The deck gives amazing views, but the railing is a little sketchy. 2 of the 3 loungers were broken as well as one of the 4 blue beach chairs. These things did not bother us too much. Just thought you should be aware. We would definitely recommend this place! Water views from every room. We loved being able to just walk down the stairs to the beach. Very convenient. The beaches were fairly private, clean and quiet. Not a lot of tourist activities on the island, makes for a very relaxing vacation. Even in the 100 degree heat, the breeze coming off the ocean made it nice. Breathtaking views of the sunrises, sunsets and the full moon was indescribable!

Rolling Waves and Crashing Surf

Beautiful setting with the surf rolling under the house on stilts. Loved the sunny days and cloudy days. The house has a lot of deferred maintenance. Plus I did see a few cockroaches. Ick. The cleaners need to tend to the fan blades, the light fixtures and wipe down the counters behind the kitchen sink and where it is difficult to reach. The kitchen drawers were not clean. I found some pet hair on the equipment. But the setting was stupendous. For the money I would have expected the condition to be clean. MdeP

Wonderful experience

House was perfect! Sunsets and sunrises were beautiful. Watched from the deck. Highly recommend this vacation home.

Our stay

Water was clear. It was amazing to see all the sea life from the porch above the water. Overall it was an amazing trip. It was super relaxing which we needed after the work year we've had. Only negative thing we encountered. Was on the last night the water had come up significantly under the house and this made logs/ lumber come up with it. They kept crashing into the stilts of the house. Shaking/thunderous noises happened. It made it hard to sleep. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

The only issue I had was trying to get the outside key box to open,.

We all loved our stay there. Being right at the water was amazing and there was always a great breeze from the ocean so that made it really nice. We saw dolphins every day and that was pretty neat and at night you could feel the house sway from the waves. I would highly recommend this place if you want to be right on the ocean.

What an experience!

Wonderful week at the beach with the kids (18, 19, 20 & 21). We loved fished off the dock, going for walks on the beach and just hanging out. The house was perfect!

Wildness of Waves

This place is just unbelievable. The roar of the waves and the movement felt of the sea made for a most special time even though all the world seemed to be in a real fix with the flights being cancelled and people being tossed about like the waves. Really something! What a fantastic place that beautiful house is. There were 7 of us and plenty of room. Thank you. :)

Great location with quiet beach

The property was clean and located directly on the water and beach. We loved it. There were miles of unpopulated Beach approximately one block away. The property manager checked in several times although we didn’t need anything.

Catch cool fish right from the deck!

We had a great time catching fish right off the deck of the house. It was sized perfectly for a family of 4 (although it sleeps more) and well laid-out. The kitchen was well-stocked, but some of the dishes had been put away dirty. The neighborhood setup is a little odd, on such a narrow spit of land -- folks had to walk through other houses' 'yards' to get from one end of the beach to another -- but it worked out fine.

Beach Perfect!

Nice little vacation house. We had 4 adults and 3 children, plenty of room. Was nice to have a beach to leave chairs and toys on. Nice to have water hose to wash most of our sand off before entering the house. Gas grill was convenient and easy to use. Kitchen was nicely furnished.

Great views!

The views were absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our time on the island and the slow pace. The barrier around part of the house (under the deck) is broken, and lots of rebar sticking out in places. There were some nails sticking out of the wood near the stairs, where the barrier is partially covered with sand. The pictures were misleading and taken a while ago as there are more houses around the house now. There was a piece of metal that looked like an old canopy tent frame sticking out of the sand, between the barrier and where my small children were playing. We tried pulling it up and could not so I contacted DIBR and offered to send pictures. I was told it was probably rebar, but they would send someone out, however; we never saw anyone. We will definitely be returning to the island, but will be staying in a different location.

Great vacay

Absolutely loved the location which was why I chose Villa Delphinus! Except for a couple rainy days and storms it was a great vacay and the ease of rental, check in and out couldn’t be better!

A relaxing vacation

My spouse and I had so much fun staying in a beach house that felt like we were staying in the ocean than just staying by the ocean! The sound and movement was truly amazing! We loved the location! So had a lovely time but do want to draw your attention to a few items. Appliance issues—toaster oven did not work, microwave door and seal is broken. Shower curtain liners both had mold on them.

Nice Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Delphinus very much. The house is perfectly located near the west end of island. Very quiet area. Nice beach, nice wrap-around patio, well-appointed home. I should note: we visited the area in low season - as well as after the area being impacted by two late season hurricanes - so there were not a lot of restaurants open. The WiFi at the house was also very spotty, at best, so if planning to work or be "connected" while onsite, a visitor might want to plan for alternative internet source.

Honeymoon Vacay

We fell in with this house!! We came to DI for our honeymoon and we didn’t want to leave. The pics were exactly what the house looked like. We loved sitting on the bed and listening to the waves crash right outside our bedroom door. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of DI and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon a great trip. We will def book this house again!

Great Space

We had a great time. It was a beautiful house with a beautiful view. We got there just after a hurricane hit, but were busy cleaning up, and we had a much needed relaxing few days! Thankyou!
