Beautiful Large Home Near Monterey and Carmel Awaits You

New and spacious, the 2,700 sqft big house is perfect for a long-due family vacation or reunion. This is a full house including a large kitchen equipped with coffee machine, toaster, pots and utensils for light cooking. Ideally, we want to rent it for 1-2 months; but shorter time can be accommodated. Just email the host.

The house is very spacious. It features 3 large bedrooms, each contains a full-size bed, PLUS a loft that has tundal beds for 2 children. There are 2 large full baths upstairs and a half bath on the first floor. Each room is big enough to let everyone have space, whether you want to enjoy tea in the beautiful backyard or cuddle up to watch a movie after a day's tour.

The owner has provided a handy Guide to Secret Beauty for each season! There is so much to see and do in Monterey, Carmel, 17-mi-drive and Big Sur! Bike to Monterey from this house. Kayak at the Breakwater Cove. Visit Monterey Bay Aquarium. See birds in Carmel Wetland. Watch butterflies at Pacific Grove. The bike trail starts from here to Marina-Seaside-Monterey-Pacific grove-Carmel (16 miles long Monterey Recreation Trail). If you stay a bit longer, take walks in the trails in this community up to the hill and see ocean from a distance. Drive to Marina Beach to see the amazing sunset.

You may explore wildlife all year long - Jan/Feb butterflies in Pacifid Grove, Mar/Apr purple flowers along Pacific Coast, May/June birds and pelicans in Carmel Wetland, July/Aug sea otters and sea lions in Monterey, Sept/Oct whale watching, Nov/Dec holiday lights in Carmel. Don't forget to check owner's recommendations on local restaurants and unique things to do!!

Please do not wear your shoes inside because they pick up sands from the beach and streets. I have provided slippers for your convenience. Keep clean.
The home is in quiet luxury community. Parties, loud music and hard liquor or any events are explicitly disallowed. Light music is fine.
Pour left-over drink in sink before you put trash in the garbage bag in trash can. Wash dishes before you leave. Turn off both heaters up/downstairs.

Great Home!

Great home to stay in and not far from Monteray/Laguna Seca where our event was. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. All of us felt comfortable and at home.

Beautiful Home

This home is fantastic. Great open concept and ten foot ceilings on both levels. Wonderful, fully equipped kitchen. Clean and bright with lots of big windows. Quiet, isolated neighborhood close to beaches. Easy 20 minute drive into Monterey - a great base for sightseeing.

Beautiful, new home

Our family stayed three nights in Marina. The house is lovely, comfortable, and clean. The house is nearly brand new and there are a few lots still under construction in the neighborhood. The beds are small, but comfortable. At least one of them is a memory foam mattress. Communication was excellent and we received all necessary information before arriving. We did not communicate with the host during our stay as we did not need anything. The house has all necessary amenities and groceries are a short drive away. It provides quick access to Monterey. Highly recommended!

Beautiful house in quiet neighborhood - couple of minor issues

This is a beautiful house in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Lots of space and privacy for our family stay. Great location near Monterey. House was equipped with everything necessary for our stay. And while there were many cups for tea and coffee, there were only two glasses that we could find for other drinks. Bedrooms were nice and gave privacy for all, however, all beds in the bedrooms were full size. Those are fine size beds for individuals but a bit cramped for couples. There was a nice loft are for our granddaughter. She was happy and comfortable there. Communication and info before the trip was pretty good, but the address in the listing was different than the actual address of the house. Had to get clarification. Communication and info during the trip was not so good. We were told we would get the front door entry code a day before our stay but did not get it. I wrote and asked for the code the morning we were traveling to the house. A few hours passed with no response. As we were about to start our drive to the house, I sent a follow-up message and provided my phone number since we would not have internet. We did receive the info before arriving, however, we were provided with the wrong entry code. The issue was quickly resolved with the owner and from there the stay was very good.

Nice home but could be improved.

Hello - I have never left a review like this before but I feel it will only help future travelers and also the homeowner. The house is lovely. Clean and pretty. The neighborhood is very safe and new. My only issue with the home itself is that the beds are terrible. The primary bedroom has a tiny full size bed. I believe typically the primary bedroom is used for couples so they really need to get a better bed in that room because it only fits one person. Along with being small it is also terribly uncomfortable. The headboard bangs against the wall with any small movement of your body - and the mattress is as thin as they come. I really would suggest improving the beds in the entire home because they are all uncomfortable and small. I have stayed in vacation rentals all over the country - around 6 a year for the past 6 years. I have never felt as strange and uneasy and watched as I did in this home. The homeowner called and texted me almost every day during the 7 days I was there asking very strange questions. She was watching us on the cameras and that was obvious. The biggest issue of them all is that she was trying to get me to leave early so she could get back in the home to clean it. I have run out of characters for this review or I would give more information. But the homeowner should not be bothering the guests and I felt really bothered the whole week I was there. Maybe she is nervous about renting her home but then she probably shouldn't be part of VRBO.

We have been vacationing in the beautiful coastal line along highway 1 for 20 years. We decided to own a vacation home in Marina because of its central location and easy access to Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, while it is a bit away from the hussle and bussle of the tourists spot. It is a few minutes drive to Marina Beach, where you can see spectecular full view of sunset. You can also drive just 8 minutes to Seaside Beach. Basically, drive from this home to south you will be on the most beautiful section of highway 1 - Marina-Seaside-Monterey-Pacific Grove- Pebble Beach- 17 miles - Carmel - Point Lobos - Big Sur. The view from north to south is more scenic than the view from south to north.

It is a new home community with beautiful, new and large homes. The community is well managed with trees and flowers planted all over the area and all homes are clean and neat. It's quiet for sleeping and resting after a full day of sight seeing. There are pleasant walking trails inside the community.
