Family trip
We arrived late Sunday afternoon. My husband and I travelled with our 4 year old twins and 13 year old and 17 year old daughters. Our travel time was about 15 hours and we were exhausted when we arrived. When we arrived, our key code was not working. There are two entry doors and the code was not working on either. I called the host Janet and was told, “this is not Janet, this is her assistant.” The “assistant” told me she would reach out to the host to try and resolve the issue and we could expect about a 10 minute wait. Our truck was downstairs and we were only allotted 15 mins at registration. The frustration for us was my four children sitting in the hallway for 10-15 minutes waiting for the issue to be resolved and not even being able to reach the host. Eventually the code worked and we never really got an explanation as to what happened. My husband and I later realized the code will not work when the security lock on the main door is in use from the inside. Knowledge not made aware to us before checking in. The host never reached out after our interaction with their “assistant” to assure all was resolved. Pros: The location was amazing. Close to restaurants, activities and beach access; A lot of attention to details including silverware, lighting, and decorating. Cons: Host communication; the furniture was not comfortable; not enough dresser space for large families that like to unpack their clothes; constant smell of weed in the halls and outside.
