The property was lovely, quiet and spacious. We loved having walking access to the river, train to the city and the grocery. Parking access in a nearby garage was icing on the cake!

Awesome Stay

We had a wonderful time at this apartment. It is located in downtown Yonkers and has a lot of food options (i.e. supermarket, restaurants) within short distance. There were many options to get around by train (Metro North Hudson Line to Yankee Stadium and Grand Central) and bus (Bee-Line bus no. 1 and 2 to 242 St (connected to NYC subway no. 1) and no. 4 to Woodlawn and Bedford Park (connected to NYC subway no. 4)) so it was easy and convenient. Also I recommend the small park on the Hudson River shoreside with nice views until midtown NYC. Communication with the owner was very fast. He was very friendly and helpful.

Great Spot!

The apartment is spacious and clean and feels very safe. Fantastic for going into the city, literally a block from the metro-north station. Would stay again!

Perfect Yankees Game Apartment

This stay was exactly what we hoped for and more. Robert was friendly and helpful, the apartment was immaculate, the parking was easy and affordable, and the location was ideal. It’s a one-minute walk to the train station, and you can be in Yankee Stadium in under 30 minutes. This would also be a great place to stay if you’re visiting Manhattan University.

Wonderful apartment, great location!

This stay was one of the best I've had using VRBO. The owner was very helpful and kind. The apartment was extremely clean, and also stocked with all kinds of kitchen items that made cooking easy and enjoyable. Our teenage son slept in the loft area, which he loved. And the location is incredibly convenient to the train. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great option in the Yonkers area!

Great loft, great owner/manager

Stayed for two months, and would gladly stay again. Great loft, which is exactly as advertised; great owner/manager, who is highly responsive. About 3 minutes to train; then, about 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour to Grand Central. About 5 minutes west to Hudson River; or about 5 minutes east to a very large ShopRite, for all groceries.

NYC Spring Break

We, fairly last minute, decided to go to NYC for our last all family spring break together. We wanted a place that was near water and a train system that would get us o to downtown. This place was more than what we anticipated. A great place, clean, quiet and close to all amenities. We didn’t rent a car, nor did we need one. We were close to Yankee Stadium and 30 minutes to central station. Couldn’t have asked for more, thank you.

Downtown Yonkers

Robert's place is amazing! It's a very large apartment with a kitchen that has everything you need. There is everything within walking distance. Shops and restaurants, and most importantly for me, the train to New York.

A perfect landing pad in Yonkers

This property was immaculate and spacious. There was every cooking utensil, pot, pan & dish you could need to make lovely meals on the beautiful range. (blender was a big plus!). Robert and his girlfriend were extremely accommodating, welcome, and helpful. Anytime I needed anything, he responded right away. The location was perfect for me, 4 minutes walk to the Metro North, as I worked in the city every day and explored north up the Hudson every weekend. It is very quiet as well. I would highly recommend this safe & cozy landing pad for your NY stay.

It’s near Manhattan just minutes away. Best if you pay parking space two blocks away from the apartment. Yonkers was has many malls and restaurants to offer near the apartment.

Plenty of Room

We had a lovely family visit to New York. This Yonkers location is convenient to the city and suburbs and the convenient parking really reduced stress and cost. Robbie took great care of us and we had plenty of room for 3 adults and one child. The apartment was immaculate and with may extra touches that made our stay more comfortable. Beds were very comfortable!

Great convenient location, easy parking, and large space

Thanks so much for the long weekend rental. We were in town for an extended family event in NYC and the apartment was more than big enough for me and my wife, and our two kids. Parking was really easy and there was quick access to the city.

A wonderful place in the heart of Yonkers vibrant down town and close walking to Hudson River

Clean, comfortable and close to convenient transportation to NYC

This place was just perfect for our stay! The owner was there to greet us and showed us around the area and pointed out local restaurants, stores and points of interest that would be interesting for our family. The apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a parking garage about 2 blocks away that charges $12 per day. I thought that was very reasonable. The apartment is only a block away from the Yonkers train station. The trains to and from NYC are very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

A great place we have chosen to spend a week in NY area

My family spent a great time in Robert's vacation house in Yonkers for a week around July 4, 2016. 1) The house is very clean and well setup, comfortable fit to my family of three. 2) It serves a perfect hub for us to explore great NY area, and retreat for us to rest after day trips in highly crowed and fast paced NY areas. 3) There is a public transportation, just one block away, which my son found very convenient to explore around. 4) The parking is always available right in front of the house, simply by feeding a number of quarters a day. It is free between 8:00pm to 9:00am. 5) Robert is very friendly and fun to talk with. We would stay there again if my family comes back to NY area. Thank you Roberts.

The owner failed to let us know they were under construction...so much so paint chips piled on floor

I made the reservation and paid for the loft in December. I informed the owner Robert that I would be staying there for 9 days with my husband and toddler. The loft was beautiful and we were so excited the first day. However, after traveling the entire day before, we woke to construction in the unit below at 715 AM. Thats right, vacationing in a unit pumping with unbearable noise. The next day was Sunday and the construction noise and men shouting directly below began at 815 AM. Finally, the third day we complained via email when the banging got so loud it chipped paint from the walls that piled on the floor. Roberts "solution" to prevent my toddler from possible lead exposure was to order his worker to vacuum up the paint chips. His solution to our complain of the noise level that rumbled our floor was to give him a schedule of when we wouldn't be there. Just what you want on vacation after paying good money right? When we couldn't give him exact times we wouldn't be there as we took each day in NYC as it came, he would knock repeatedly on the door DAILY while his workers shouted in a foreign language in the hallway waiting for us to leave. Refusing to answer the door was not an option as he would bang louder and more insistent. At this point, I refused to talk to him and directed him to talk to my husband only. We constantly felt pressured to vacate the loft so they could start their construction. If we didnt, they would start anyway. It was just bad business to take our money knowing they were under construction as our unit and the hallway was filled with painters tape on the walls, exposed wires in the hall buckets of tools and the constant noise of hammers drills and saws while I was trying to comfort my 2 year old. He could have been forthcoming and I would have asked for a refund months ago and booked elsewhere. It ruined our vacation. Not good business at all. Beautiful loft, but not worth the aggravation and danger to my child. If I could give this place no stars, I would. You just dont treat people that way.
