What a perfect place in an ideal location! I was looking for a quiet place on the lake and this was it. The host had fire pits available, one near the cabin; the other was lakeside. There was plenty of outdoor seating. The host was gracious and kind, he was available to quickly deal with an issue. (The skiing question didn’t apply to our stay in October)A lovely stay in a lovely location!

Charming cottage

We felt at home, loved the sunsets, the location is perfect - close to Plattsburgh and the ferry to Vermont and right on the lake.

Cute cabin

The property was quite charming. Really enjoyed sitting next to the lake, it was the absolute best. Close to all the stores you could need and less than an hour from Montréal. Couldn’t have asked for more!!

Sweet spot

This is a sweet cabin with a million dollar view of Lake Champlain. It was a wonderful home base for us to explore the area. A very comfortable place to come home to at the end of each day.

Great little cabin on the lake

The cabin was very cozy and clean. The lakefront rock was a great place to enjoy a morning coffee. Dennis was a great host and very friendly. Highly recommend!

Cabin on Lake Champlain

The cabin was just as described. Very clean. Everything we could have needed was provided. Owner was very nice and met us when we arrived. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. Beautiful location right on the lake. We’d definitely stay there again.

Enjoyable

We had inches of rain for most of our stay but still enjoyed our stay. Host even waited by the road for our arrival with a flashlight. Nice gentleman. View was awesome. Lots to do. Wish we would have stayed more than 3 days.

Amazing place!

Dennis is very friendly and helpful host and provided excellent instructions and communication before and during our stay. Very good location right on the lake is absolutely wonderful, we loved the stone beach and used it each day, kayaking, swimming, fishing and use the fire pit at nights. The cabin was just as described. Very clean. Everything we could have needed was provided. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. Already planning our next trip there.

Amazing!

What a perfect location! The cabin was adorable with its retro decor. We basically only slept inside. We spent the rest of our time at the water or by the fire. Took the ferry to VT. Visited locals bars and restaurants. Close and convenient to everything. Will definitely be back!

A great get away location!

We LOVED our stay in this adorable cottage! Very clean and all the comforts of home! Dennis and Karen were wonderful hosts! The property is in a great location close to town, restaurants and beach. We will definitely return. Was very relaxing. Bring water shoes as there are rocks when getting into the water, though this was not a problem. Highly recommend this cottage! quaint cottage on the lake

This is a lakeside cabin that was likely built in the 1950s (we meant to ask it's history before we left, so this is speculation). It was perfect for a couple or family of 4 and was in a beautiful cove on Lake Champlain that offered perfect sunset views. We stayed for 3 nights during an unusually stormy period (tornado watches for the area one night) and still managed to take advantage of the GORGEOUS lakeside space, kayaks, and explore Historic Plattsburgh and the surrounding area. We were able to get a bit of work done with the fast and reliable wifi, which was very appreciated! We like to cook for ourselves and were able to do so in the adorable retro 50s kitchen. Everything we needed equipment wise was there. The beds were good, the futon was super comfy, and the AC unit kept us cool at the tail end of the 'heat dome'. Dennis was very attentive and helpful with check-in and kayaks. We would certainly stay again!

Beautiful lake location. Clean and Charming. Everything you need. This is a Lake Champlain gem.

Dennis and Karen were most gracious hosts. They greeted us with an Adirondack Red Wine, keys to cabin, and answered any questions we had. This charming cabin is clean, well laid out, and offers everything you need and more. I mean everything. Bring your clothes and a good book and you are set. Frosted mugs in freezer, towels, linens, games, tv, internet, air conditioning/fans when air is not used, radio, alarm clocks, travel guides, binoculars, plenty of outdoor seating, 2 fire pits, outdoor grill. The kitchen was our favorite with a 50's theme. Brought me back to days gone by. The location and view could not be better. Beautiful! We will be back. Thanks for a great vacation. The Atwoods

Perfect place for a working vacation

Dennis is a superb host and provided excellent instructions and communication before and during our stay. I let him know that we planned to work from the cabin during the day and asked him about the Internet speed, and he confirmed it for us and we were very pleasantly surprised with how fast and good the Wi-Fi was. Both of us were able to work from the week on video meetings with no problems. The cute retro kitchen made a great backdrop for my meetings. The location right on the lake is absolutely wonderful, we loved the stone beach and took advantage of the fire pit several nights. It is a really unique property and the cabin itself has its little quirks, like the doors open and close with latches instead of door knobs. There are no closets, but the dresser in the Full bedroom had enough room for our clothing for the week. Plenty of towels and washcloths, toilet paper and paper towels were provided. It was great that there was both a Keurig machine and a coffee maker. The cabin is on the same property as the owners’ main home, and we were a little concerned that we would have less privacy because of this, but we really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Dennis is a wealth of information about the local area and was super helpful with our needs like when we ran out of firewood for the fire pit, he brought some down from his own pile. When we locked ourselves out once it was no problem to have him unlock the door to let us back in. We hope to return one day!

Champlain heaven

Spectacular location. View lake champlain from the front patio. Walk down stairs to your own private beach. We hike at Ausable Chasm. Biked on heritage trail. Kayaked on lake champlain. Dinner at Mainly Lobster. A wonderful four days of rest, relaxation and activities. Were treated to a spectacular fireworks show over the lake. The host are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this cabin.

Cute and cozy cabin on the lake

The cabin was very clean and cozy. The owner, Who lives right next-door to the cottage, met us and explained everything. He was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was great, and the kitchen had every piece of equipment we needed. It was located within an easy walking distance to my friends cottage. The view of the lake was stupendous as was the Adirondack chairs at the shore. My only comment would be that I didn’t realize the owner lived next door which made it a little uncomfortable for us to visit outside. I wish I had known about this when I had booked the cottage. Also, according to the checking out instructions, we were expected to vacuum. I assume that’s what the cleaning fee I paid was for. Other than that our stay was excellent and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wanted to enjoy a nice lakeside retreat!!

Excellent getaway.

Dennis was an amazing host, greeting us at check in and very easy to get in touch with. The cabin is exactly as listed and the property is surprisingly secluded for being right on the water. We will definitely try to get back again.

Beautiful cabin by the lake

We enjoyed our stay and host was very accommodating. The old style cabin was eclectic but very tastefully decorated. My wife and I agree that we would have done this the same way. The view was gorgeous. The setting was serine. We would only change one thing. Add a bathroom vent fan.

Nice and quiet

We enjoyed our stay in Plattsburgh. Lovely place to sit on the water to watch the sunset after a long day of touring the surrounding areas.
