This is a cute, convenient little cottage in Peoria Heights. It’s convenient to East Peoria and other areas in Peoria. Peoria Heights has a quaint area with shopping and great restaurants. Hearth is mt all-time favorite restaurant. I also highly recommend Two Sisters if you like antiques and vintage items.

Cute house in an older, but tidy neighborhood. The house was very clean and included everything we needed from shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/blow dryer to coffee pods & tea bags! The location is very central to everyone we wanted to see during our visit to town. We would definitely stay again.

Cozy, but provided all that II needed. Main floor laundry was convenient.

First, I want to start off by saying this is an absolutely adorable cozy home! Not only did they decorate well, but they had privacy to a "T". I felt very safe traveling solo.The only downfall worth mentioning is 2 things:1 - the fans need some cleaning. The bedroom is warm with the door shut, so I had no choice but turn on the fan. When I did, some dust came down and I woke up with a stuffy nose - no bueno. 2 - the shower is small (I know they cant help this). Just keep this in mind if you are a bigger person and needing to shower. I am average size and even I stuggled cleaning my entire body. Overall, I was very happy with my stay. The property owners were very responsive, kind, and helpful.

I’m sorry about the dust from the ceiling fan and the tight shower — that’s not the experience we aim for. We arranged a deep clean of the fans, will inspect vents/filters, and will review the shower for any possible improvements. I also updated the listing to make shower size clearer for future guests. ** RENTER BEWARE **I originally rented the Bumble Bee Cottage from 1/28/26 through 1/31/26 (spoiler: I left 1/30 because of the nastiness described below). The cottage looked decent at first glance.I was tired from a long travel day, so I prepared for bed after eating dinner. When I went to pull back the comforter from the bed, I discovered first that the white pillows had VARIOUS TYPES OF HAIRS on the pillowcases and sheets! One pillowcase had a red stain. I ended up having to go to Walmart to buy bedding at 10:00 PM so I had somewhere clean to sleep (the couch was stained). I recorded a video and took photos of the bedding. Removing the sheets revealed a blood-stained mattress (no mattress cover) and badly stained pillows.I wrote to the host, Xenia Living, to document this experience that very night. They essentially told me I was lying, saying I was wrong, and that they have pictures from their cleaners. I called them, and the woman speaking started to backtrack. She said to text the pictures and video (unable to update on Vrbo app) to their number, and they will get back to me. I have not received a response from them and have been ignored.I called Vrbo on 1/29/26 for any sort of recourse, but I was told I had to wait for the host company to reply. Xenia Living has ignored me. I ended up leaving a day early and drove the hours back to my home because I had no place to reside and did not want to stay another moment in that dirty home. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!
