Yes beds and pillows can be very subjective because some like soft and some like more firm. I'll look into the pillow issue. There are extra pillows in the closet that may not have been noticed. Thank you for your stay.

Of 100 plus traveller reviews this was the first negative one we had ever received. Not sure why she chose to complain about beach access since she stayed in a different condo in this building before. The beach access is not a problem for most. Coming from our balcony it is a short cut and just convenient but there are other routes. We have a premium cable package and DVDs have become unpopular so we were not aware that the player was not functioning for them. I only offered the games room which is on the basement floor but it is comfortable and Superbly finished and because she was adamant to watch a DVD movie. The deposit was returned in my stated timeframe however it was due to PayPal that caused a delay because she wanted to avoid VRBO fees. VRBO returns money quicker. Anyone who knows us know that we take accommodating our guests is our priority! This renter seems to be an insatiable guest and could have advised me of her issues before being malicious. I likely would have given her further amenities and concessions had she been gracious enough to do so. So sorry that the weather was challenging, like many other issues apparently.

Thank you for your review. We cannot do anything about the key situation, it is the building's preference not to have key codes at the secured building entrance to the many owner residences. I saw the texts from my condo manager about the keys She texted you to inform that a set was missing, you had agreed and she had explained that she just needed to let the owner know. All she had said is that she was very clear on your check in to replace the keys on the rack and there is also a notice on the door to remind you when you leave. I don't think that is talking down nor hounding you. She was giving you an opportunity to replace before she notified the owner. This manager has travelled at times over an hour to meet guests who have forgotten something or another. If you want to wine about your mistake stick to the big box resorts who charge you as much.

It is very unfortunate that this guest felt this way and is trying to hurt my rating and reputation. I have always had great reviews and treat guests how I would like to be treated on vacation. I take all concerns personally and strive for excellence. This traveller is being spiteful because he tried to blackmail me for monies for a good review. He originally sent me a letter wanting an excessive amount of money “before” he posted his review. I did not accept that because we did everything possible for this traveller to minimize any disruption. The basic issue is that my fridge broke down and rather than spend several days waiting for a part I bought a brand new fridge within 2 days. He was offered other remedies to keep any food preserved and I would have reimbursed him for any food that had spoiled. He had 5 days left of a 30 day rental so he couldn’t have that much food left. Therefore he is extremely unreasonable in his review about “how” the issue was handled. It I was the only issue I was aware of. His actions will be reported to VRBO on his blackmail attempts. Some people just want a free vacation on the backs of others. This traveller should not be so ungrateful and spiteful and is a nightmare to rental owners using the VRBO site as a booking venue. No one should be held for ransome in lieu of a great review because that not fair nor democratically ethical. Truly sad.
