Welcome to Beach Bay Cottage - known for its large & completely private sandy beach! Close to the water with sunset view and family friendly waterfront with safe, sandy shallow water. The property has 300 feet of waterfront and 14 private acres with trails & scenic lookout. In a quiet bay facing west for sun all day and a lawn at back for fun. Located near the end of a quite private road.

The interior is spacious & clean with a bright open concept layout featuring comfortable living room, rustic hardwood floors, large dining area & open kitchen. Sleeping for 6 in 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms and a finished walkout basement with a cozy wood-stove. The waterfront hot tub adjoins the screened porch for stunning sunset dinners bug free. Large wraparound deck directly overlooks the beach. Boats include a family sized canoe, 2 kayaks, paddleboat & rowboat. Halls Lake is rated very clean. Just 2 hours from 400/407 area, near Carnarvon at the east end of Muskoka / west side of Haliburton. Under 20 minutes to Minden, Dorset & Haliburton.

Other Highlights: Swim raft in the quiet bay, BBQ, Laundry & Firepit. Easy access to Hwy 35 & 118. Central forced air heat and wood stove for all seasons. Hike through numerous marked trails on the property or to Buttermilk Falls < 1km away. Master with Queen bed ensuite & shower, double bed in second bedroom, 2 twins in the third bedroom. Main bath has a tub & shower.

Within 7 minutes: Stanhope park & playground, tennis, library, museum, trails, mini-golf, ATV/OFSC snowmobile trails (15 & B), golf, 6 restaurants, 3 convenience stores, LCBO, gas, hardware store, marina etc. Less than 20 minutes to Sir Sam's skiing, 30 minutes to Haliburton Forest, 40 minutes to Algonquin Park, Bracebridge & Huntsville.

Beautiful private oasis!

Our family had an amazing time at this lovely cottage. easy proximity to shopping when needed, and wonderfully secluded and warm lake. The kids absolutely loved it and are already asking when we can return.

Dream location for a family getaway

Beach Bay Cottage exceeded our expectations! The property is beautiful with plenty of space to enjoy lots of outdoor activities. The beach was sandy with a nice, gradual entry and the bay location meant the waters were relatively calm for swimming and paddle sports. The home itself was thoughtfully appointed - we particularly appreciated the ample closet space, lots of hooks for towels, jackets, etc. and plenty of seating both indoors and out. There wasn't a thing we would have changed about our experience. Thank you to our gracious hosts!

Private Beach in Paradise

We had a fabulous time at this Halls Lake retreat! The cottage was very spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Lots to do (kayaking, paddleboard, paddleboat), games, puzzles and a beautiful sandy shallow lagoon. We were looking forward to a campfire. Unfortunately, a fire ban was enacted, but there was lots of firewood provided. It also has the most charming outhouse I've ever seen. Yes. Read that again. Clean, bright, view of the lake... Looking forward to visiting again!

Fall Getaway

From the moment we drove up to the front door, our adventure was absolutely perfect. The peacefulness, the views, the lovely home with every amenity you could ever want. Perfect in every way!

We just spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful cottage and every part of it was fantastic! From the location (equal distance to Haliburton, Dorset and Minden), to the amazing privacy and vast nature, to the gorgeous beach and large property, made for a very enjoyable time. The kids loved playing and running around outside! We loved the perk of the hot tub, and the gorgeous large windows that view the lake. Many hiking trails around not only the property but a short drive to so many (we did the log chute, Buttermilk Falls, Dorset Tower, and Big Buck Lake in Limberlost Forest (which I highly recommend). Thank you Jeff for sharing your cottage with us! We WILL be back!

A great place to get away.

This is a beautiful and well thought out property. It has a wonderful amount of amenities and nice little touches that add to the experience. It was great to wake up and drink coffee/tea on the dock, then spend time on an incredibly calm lake, and finish up watching the sunset given the western exposure. I had a great time and the owner was incredibly helpful and understanding. There was no one coming in on the day we left, so he let us spend a few extra hours enjoying the place. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Everything You Imagine!

Over all what a great experience. Perfect for all the family. From the moment we drove into the driveway you could tell that the adventure just begun. The cottage was more of a home. Tons of room for a large family or a get together. Very clean and the well kept. So much to do. Beautiful beach and great trailers all around. Jeff is a great host with fast responses. Great for all ages. If you are looking for a great place to stay for you and your family or friends there’s no need to look any further. We are already planning a trip back for next year. Above and beyond expectations. 5 out of 5

Pictures Don'T Do It Justice

This is a beautiful spot and the pictures don't even do it justice! We were here over Thanksgiving weekend so we got to enjoy the quiet and fall colours on the lake. The trails on the property are great and in addition to those, there are a number of marked, public hiking trails nearby. Jeff was a great host and had everything arranged for our stay with lots of information and activity suggestions available at the cottage. He was available to contact and got back to us very quickly when we had questions as well. Overall an amazing week and we would definitely come back!

Great vacation getaway

My kids and I had an excellent time . The cottage was amazing ,very well kept and comfortable . Peaceful surroundings and beautiful lake to go swimming , kayaking or just sit on the dock to watch the sunset.
