The host was very responsive when we checked in and discovered there was no hairdryer. He helped address the problem right away. The place was clean, and we weren't expected to do a bunch of cleaning at checkout. As that is always a hectic time, it was much appreciated!

Nauvoo Family Trip

The property was in a good location. It was an easy walk to the Temple and Old Nauvoo. The bunk bed was very unstable even for one person.

The exterior needs refurbished. The interior is nice. A larger bed would be nice in the master. The master also needs a mirror above the dresser because there is only one bathroom.

Nice stay

Great stay for my family over all. Has a nice update to this old house. Place was a little musty which my wife happens to be sensitive to. It didn’t bother me. For some reason the fridge was turned off but this was brought up with the owner who was very responsive and gave us a refund just for that. Great location and clean. Great space for a family. Nice kitchen that was well supplied. Can hear footsteps but it never bothered our sleeping. Would definitely come here again with its close location and nice space for our family of 6

O’Neil Family

Best suited for adults with children in the second bedroom. Our adult in the second bedroom found the mattress comfortable but was uncomfortable with the height of the bunk bed, no dresser and no access to bathroom except through the living room. This room is best suited for children. The mattresses in both beds were comfortable but be aware they are full size not queens. We were quite comfortable here, easy in and out with luggage. The A/C’s kept the apt. cool.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! The second bedroom with the bunk beds is definitely designed with children in mind. We understand that the height of the bunk bed and access to the bathroom might not be ideal for everyone. And while there isn’t a full-size dresser, there is a closet where you can easily store your clothes and belongings. We wanted to let you know that we’ve since updated the master bedroom with a queen bed to offer more comfort for adults. We’re so glad the mattresses were comfortable, and the A/C kept the apartment cool. We really appreciate your feedback as it helps us make improvements for future guests. We'd love to host you again anytime!

Our stay was very brief. Got in late and left after breakfast to tour Nauvoo. I appreciated that there wasn’t a to do list before packing up as we have 6 kids 12 and under including a month old baby. The door lock was tricky for me to use. I struggled to unlock and lock it. My husband was able to get it open though. It was also really cold, which is better than hot since it is July, but I could have used some extra blankets.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We're glad our simple checkout process made your morning a little easier, especially while traveling with six young children and a newborn. We appreciate you mentioning the door lock and the temperature. We'll take another look at the lock to make sure it's working as smoothly as possible and review our instructions to make it easier for future guests. You should have been able to adjust the temperature to your family's comfort, and we'll also work on keeping more extra blankets available for guests who may prefer additional warmth. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and we hope you enjoyed your visit to Nauvoo. We'd love to welcome you back anytime!
