Cartegena Family Getaway

After a wedding in Bogota 20 some of us went to Cartagena for a 4 night stay. 11 of us stayed at this home. Cons - washer/dryer did not work, definitely could have been cleaned better. Pros - plenty of room, pool, great walking distance to anywhere, restaurants, grocery stores, ice cream shop walking distance, BEAUTIFUL rooftop to hang out on, great price. This home needs some TLC, it could be phenomenal, but even without that, i would still def recommend. We had a blast there and it had plenty of room for all of us.

The pictures really don’t do this property justice it actually looks much better in person. For a large group, this place works very well because everyone can have their own space. Almost every bedroom has its own bathroom, which makes things very convenient.The house itself is a four-story building with balconies, and the rooftop (fourth floor) is a great hangout spot. My friends, team, and I spent a lot of time up there. The pool was also enjoyable while it’s not heated, the weather in Cartagena keeps it at a comfortable temperature. There’s even an outdoor shower by the pool, which is a nice touch.In terms of downsides, the main issue was the water pressure. It was inconsistent throughout the house, except in one of the downstairs rooms where it worked fine. We also experienced two water shut-offs during our stay, which may be a city-related issue. Additionally, there was one night when most of the AC units weren’t working due to an electrical problem. However, the host was very responsive he came by and returned the next day with a technician to fix everything quickly.Another thing to note is that we didn’t really get hot water in the showers, so that’s something the host may want to improve, along with the water pressure possibly by upgrading the pump or water heating system.That said, the host was excellent very responsive and always ready to assist if needed. I would rate the host a 10/10 for communication and support.The location is also a big plus. It’s in a saf
