Very outdated. Photo filters make it look better. We didn’t use one of the showers because it had lots of hair in it. It was so much that it was obvious it was not cleaned after the previous guest. Game room feels very old with chotchkies everywhere, and dozens of dart holes all over the wall around the dart board. It’s so dark when you pull up to the house at night and the wooden steps to the house are so creaky that my 5 year old said the place is spooky. Pinball machine was also out of order our entire stay. It’s also just one bunk bed (2 beds), not 2 bunk beds (4 beds). From the photos it looked to us like 2 bunk beds.

Cozy cabin with gaming fun and some street noise

Nice place to stay with our family. Great gaming amenities for kids/adults of all ages. Unfortunately we found the street noise to be more than we like in the bedrooms. Parking spaces are a little tight.

Wonderful Getaway

Just want to say that Danny is awesome. He is very communicative and concerned with his guests. The cabin has a very relaxing, yet fun atmosphere. The view from the deck is perfect and the gameroom is full of activities. Thank you for sharing your cabin!!

Super fun cabin to relax, play games and enjoy forest views

As advertised, the game room did not disappoint. The kids loved the arcade games (and the adults too). Just note, if you have multiple people playing the video games, at the chess table, and playing pool, the pool players have to be careful they don't whack other folks in the room. Danny (owner) was super communicative on the days prior to, during our stay, and during our checkout. He responded quickly to an incident in the house that involved carpet tack strip and little feet and had a handy person come to take care of the tacks so no other incidents occurred. He also was responsive regarding the pinball machine when we had issues and we really appreciated that too. Really appreciated that he had the house ready before the check in time, but we couldn't make it up to enjoy the place earlier. Will be keeping this place in our favorites the next time we are going to Lake Arrowhead. Note to those who have mobility issues, there is one bedroom and bathroom on the main floor so that's good and no need to go up and down stairs except from the parking spots. The game room is located at the lower level and the other two bedrooms are on the second floor.

Great Owner & Stunning Sunsets

Great things about this house: Although small, the kitchen was very well appointed and provided everything we needed to prepare our meals and our morning coffee. It also has a dishwasher and a great deep sink for easy meal clean-up. As the photos show, the game room is awesome and likely the best you'll find in a rental. It provided fun for all and even had the adults competing for the high score on the arcade games (seriously...we were keeping a score card)! The bathrooms & bedrooms were clean with fairly new & very fresh smelling linens. The owner, Danny, was extremely attentive & responsive to all of our needs. He really seemed to care that we enjoyed our stay and provided extensive responses and information to all of my questions pre-trip. Views of the sunset from the two decks was amazing...a very relaxing ending to each day. Penisula Park was nicer than I expected, with a grass area for the dogs and a nice beach for the kids (although, the walk to get there was a little bizarre, as you have to walk through a dock yard). The bottom deck off of the game room is very spacious with plenty of seating and great shade. A very nice place to spend your afternoon to escape the heat inside. Reason for 4 vs 5 stars: There is no A/C, which typically isn't an issue in the mountains, but during our stay it was in the high 80's and the house was HOT, even with multiple fans (the owner has equipped the house with several wall, ceiling, and mobile fans). The areas of the house with west facing windows were more comfortable, thanks to mountain breezes, but the rooms with east facing windows were uncomfortably warm. The carpet (especially in the game room) had a lot of stains and there were areas on the wood floors (mostly around and under the furniture) that was very dusty and did not appear to be regularly cleaned by the cleaning crew (aside from these two issues, the house was clean when we arrived). The upper deck is in need of repair, and had me concerned enough to keep the kids off of it (the concerns are not structural, more just disrepair of some of the boards). Informational: Lots of stairs - not ideal for older, large-breed dogs or elderly/physically disabled people. The house is built on a steep slope in an established neighborhood, so there is no backyard or flat, forested areas in walking distance to explore...bummer for the kids and our dogs, but our time at the lake made up for it. Lake passes will not get you in to the private beach clubs, so your only option for swimming is Peninsula Park. As a private lake, there are no boats rentals, nor will they allow you to launch your own kayaks, etc. However, it's thanks to these strict rules that keeps this lake so clean and beautiful (the water on the shoreline at Peninsula Park was very clear and clean with a nice sandy shoreline). All in all, we enjoyed our time here and appreciate the owner for all of his help before and during our trip.

Perfect Arrowhead getaway, great for families

Charming, well located and super fun house with game room, deck and amazing views! We stayed here for a week during COVID and loved it. A++++++! Danny the owner was super helpful. You could spend a whole week on the deck and In the amazing game room (Pac-Man, Galahad, Streetfighter, Pinball, etc.) but the stunning Pinnacles Trail which is wonderful for dogs is only 5 minutes away, Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory, Santa’s village, hearts rock trail, the market in Blue Jay, etc. also are easy drives. Lou eddies pizza also only a short drive away, great place for outdoor dining with our dog. House includes everything that you need and multiple levels makes it feel bigger than it really is. We LOVED the game room. Great for family trip or getaway with friends. Also an easy drive from LA. We can’t wait to come back ....

Cozy cabin

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin for a weekend with family. It is very cozy and the decor around the cabin is wonderful. The game room is a major plus. The house could’ve been cleaner, particularly the kitchen, but it was fine for a weekend stay. The host was wonderful, he was very easy to reach and was very friendly. He even allowed us to stay past our checkout time as there was no reservation following ours. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Friendly

This cabin fit our needs so well! We enjoyed the plentiful games downstairs, the large kitchen table fit everyone, and the nearby town center was close. It was a nice place to get away and spend quality family time. The only drawback was the lack of lighting for night. It felt really dark. Other than that, the owner is so accommodating and thoughtful. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful Log Cabin Family Retreat!

We were looking for something close for our family vacation due to Covid and found the perfect retreat in Lake Arrowhead. We literally spent hours in the game room having a blast. The best part of it all is that the home appealed to all the different ages of our 4 children from age 11-22. True quality family time. Take advantage of Danny's offer to help with recommendations. He was kind of enough to respond in a very timely manner when we had any questions. We especially loved hiking along the paths on the Lake. Be aware that the two private Beaches are closed to renters due to Covid which was a bit of a disappointment. If you want to do any water activities you will need to go to Big Bear for the day. Next time we would plan a day for that but honestly we enjoyed beautiful hikes, eating out at Lake Arrowhead, reading on the porch, barbecuing and hours in the playroom. Very warm and inviting home.

Perfect Family Rental

This a lovely home that is perfect for families. It is spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished. The game room is terrific and the decks offer amazing views. Its a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The owner Danny was very helpful and communicative and offered many hints to enhance our stay. We look forward to returning to this wonderful place.
