Colorful Carova Beach Oasis. Pet friendly with a Pool! 4x4

The Salty Wife is a family friendly beach house located on the northern end of Carova Beach. The remote location provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind while enjoying all that nature has to offer. A leisurely 5 minute walk will take you to the ocean where shell treasures and wild ponies await you! The pool is available June 1-Sept 1.
The home offers 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and can comfortably sleep 6 people. The bedrooms include 1 king, 1 queen, and 1 full size bed. The primary bedroom has a private bathroom while the queen and full bedroom share a Jack and Jill bathroom. There is also a half bathroom upstairs in the main living area. Bath towels and bed linens are included. There are smart tv’s in the king and queen bedrooms. Smart tv’s are also found in the den and the basement movie room. Internet is provided but guests will need to supply their own streaming services. The outdoor space includes a pool, picnic table, fire pit, charcoal grill, and outdoor shower. 4 beach chairs are provided so you don’t have to pack your own. You will also find the kitchen stocked with one roll of paper towels, 2 trash bags, two dishwasher pods, kitchen sponge, dish soap, hand soap, oils, and spices. Bathrooms have one hand towel, hand soap, and two roll of toilet paper. Please bring your own hygiene products. Shampoo and body wash not provided.
Things to consider:
Please note that there are no paved roads in Carova and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is required to travel on the beach. Tires must be aired down to 15-20 psi to avoid getting stuck in soft sand. If you are new to beach driving, it is helpful to review the daily tide chart and travel the beach during low tides. The wells are shallow in Carova, which may result in water discoloration. The home has a whole house water filtration system, but bringing your own drinking water is recommended.
In conclusion, if your vacation goal is to slow down, escape the 9-5, and focus on quality time with the people who matter most; you have found the perfect place!

Do not interact with wild horses. Please stay at a minimum of 50 ft. Do not feed them.
Pick up after your pet. Please do not leave poop in the yard. Please keeps pets off of beds and furniture.
Please place all trash in bags prior to placing in outdoor trashcans. Trash is collected by hand and there is a 50$ fee for unbagged trash.

This home is beautifully decorated 3 levels , bedrooms on middle level kitchen , living room & dining room on top , decks are awesome just be wear of the steps it’s a lot for anyone with back issues . We only had 1/2 day that it wasn’t raining / very windy so bad could t set up in beach and to cool to use the nice pool and surroundings. Excellent communication with the owner , just wish we had few more days so we could have enjoyed the beach and or pool more. *** Please pay attention to the tide , twice even though 2 hours from high tide wasn’t able to go around 2 houses which was totally not what we have had to do other times staying . We only saw 1 house at home , couple of the end and out trips but this morning on your way out we saw 7 on dunes near last home on water before you get off the 4 x 4.

The Salty Wife was everything we could have asked for in a home on the Carova 4x4 beach. Upon arrival, the house was clean and the check in process was smooth. Dabney relayed everything that we needed prior to arrival. I would definitely recommend staying here if the house fits your group needs!

Our family enjoyed our time at the Salty Wife! The ease of driving to and on the beach was so convenient. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The pool was refreshing and well maintained. The outdoor mini fridge was a bonus! Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better stay, we highly recommend.

This house was perfect for our family of 4. There is so much room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We loved the short drive to the beach and being able to park right on the sand. Use of the 4 beach chairs was super convenient. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool when we weren’t at the ocean, and having pool towels to use was so nice. The sound machines in each bedroom was a pleasant surprise. If you’re looking to be secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of beach towns, it’s a great spot. We had all of the cookware and grilling tools needed to cook all of our meals, as restaurants and grocery stores took over 30 minutes to get to. We never saw any wild horses on the property, but we spotted them driving around in surrounding neighborhoods and driving on the beach. The house is tastefully decorated with lots of bright colors and touches. The host was so kind and helpful!

Week Vacation

This house served its purpose for our week stay! Pros: the seclusion of being away from the crowd, playing board games, hosts style for decor and of course the pool! Cons: the water smells awful (which host states it has been tested) but still taking showers and flushing toilets makes the whole house stink. Recommend buying water in bulk to cook with & brush teeth with

Great beach getaway with perfect location

This house was absolutely perfect for our week away at Carova beach. This is our favorite beach to go to and this house made our trip. The house was so colorful and beautifully decorated. It was in a great location with less than a five minute drive to the beach. We were right by the state line which we absolutely love as it is less crowded down there. The house was a perfect size for our family and had everything we needed for our week. The pool was perfect for our kids. The hosts were incredible and made sure we had everything we needed and made sure the house was in perfect condition.Check in and check out process was a breeze. We saw plenty of wild carova horses driving around, on the beach, and even in the back yard. This vacation home with defiantly be booked by us for many years to come.
