Welcome to Black Horse Mountain Retreat!
We invite you to experience Black Horse Mountain Retreat, your friends and families perfect vacation escape nestled at the base of Butler Mountain with an elevation of nearly 3600 feet. This home is the perfect combination for those wishing to experience peace, quiet, & serenity and distance themselves from the hustle and bustle while still having immediate access to all Asheville’s iconic attractions such as Downtown Asheville, the Biltmore Estate and Village, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Lake Lure/Chimney Rock. Perfect for those wanting to spend less time behind the wheel with all of these attractions having one turn of the wheel access!
Cozy and Inviting Ambiance
Upon stepping inside, you'll be embraced by a cozy and inviting ambiance, meticulously crafted for short-term vacations. The open-concept living area showcases hard wood flooring and expansive windows letting in tons of natural light and framing panoramic mountain ridgelines. Open both front and back doors, to invite the crisp mountain air inside, and relax on the sofa while catching up on your favorite streaming shows here or in any of its 3 bedrooms!
Fully Equipped Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen boasts exquisite granite countertops and provides everything you need to whip up delicious meals. Gather around the dining table, comfortably seating six guests, and enjoy your culinary creations indoors or take advantage of the large propane grill outside while enjoying the fresh air of this private and wooded lot.
Restful Slumber
For restful slumber, retreat to three thoughtfully furnished bedrooms, each designed with your comfort in mind. Sink into the Cocoon beds by Sealy for a peaceful night's sleep, awakening refreshed and ready to explore the wonders of the area. Each bedroom comes equipped with its own large Smart TV with the Primary Bedroom having its own private ensuite bathroom, with dual vanities and shower/tub combo, and the secondary full bathroom conveniently located between the other two bedrooms.
Outdoor Enjoyment
Step outside to immerse yourself in the natural beauty enveloping the property. Sip your morning coffee on the covered front porch, and come evening, gather on the back deck to savor the serene atmosphere and unwind in the covered hot tub (serviced each Wednesday by Mountain Leisure Spas to ensure perfect guest conditions). The expansive yard provides ample space for outdoor activities, offering endless opportunities for children to play, and head out back come sunset to enjoy the outdoor party lights, share tales, and toast marshmallows around the fire pit nestled under its own charming pergola.

Private parking ensures hassle-free arrivals and departures, and our vacation rental is fully stocked with essentials, including linens, towels, makeup towels, hand & wash cloths. Coffee Anyone?... Get your day started with our fully stocked Coffee Bar with both K-Cup and Drip Coffee options to get ya going! K-Cups, Grounds, Creamers, & Sweeteners provided for all guest use!

With all of the conveniences set aside from Black Horse Mountain Retreat, we simply love the limitless outdoor options in our "backyard" ! Whether or not you choose to raft or kayak the mighty French Broad, Hike or Mountain Bike endless miles of trails, or fly fish thousands of miles of trout streams for our native brook trout, rainbows, or "BIG" Browns... Asheville has something outside for everyone with these just to name a few!

With so many of our local premier attractions such at the Biltmore Estate, Downtown Asheville, Grove Park Inn, & The Blue Ridge Parkway less than 15 minutes away combined, choosing Black Horse will mean "less time behind the wheel" and more time enjoying any activities you and your guests choose!
And speaking of the wheel... With immediate access to I26 & I 40 just a few minutes away as well, "day trips" to areas such as Waynesville, Sylva, Black Mountain, Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Brevard, & Bryson City will be a snap with most of these area being inside of an hour away!
These conveniences can all be taken advantage from in a home located at the base of a WNC Ridgeline and on a large private lot ensuring that your evenings can be spent resting, relaxing, and recharging for your next day of adventures! Whether or not you take advantage of the huge back yard, take a dip in the hot tub (serviced each Wednesday AM by Mountain Leisure Spas to ensure guest enjoyment), or build a fire suitable for Smores we know you, your guests, or family will enjoy this little slice of Appalachian Heaven!
