There needs to be tissues in the restrooms and make sure all the pots and pans are clean. Other than that, this is a great place to stay!

We have stayed at Shore Thang before. We love Port Aransas and love the Grand Caribbean bc of its proximity, the boardwalk to the beach and the ability to cook during our stay. The apartment, as before, was clean, and comfortable. We have stayed in maybe 3 other properties at the GC, that I believe all have the same owner, and we’ve noticed over the years that the amenities seem to have diminished. I understand you can’t expect there to be everything provided, but I would think at minimum salt and pepper would be in the kitchen. While there was bar soap in the bathrooms, the soap container in the kitchen had about a half inch of soap provided. I know this isn’t a 5 star hotel, but it’s not an insignificant amount of money to stay at GC and would like to think a bit more attention to detail was paid. I also find Vtrips management’s website to be cumbersome and not at all easy to get into my acccount details without jumping through login hoops. We had an exterminator knock on our door the first morning of our stay after we had just gotten out of bed. I checked Vtrips and there was not note, we had no previous notice of this maintenance, and he insisted an email was sent the week prior. I’m sure it was,(I called the local office and they noted this was probably an oversight by yet another party, the HOA) but this was not communicated to us as temporary tenants. We love the GC and will be back, just hoping for better communication between parties. Bring your own everything!
