A estadia correu muito bem. O apartamento corresponde ao anunciado, é confortável e funcional. A localização é boa, muito próxima da praia. O supermercado não fica mesmo ao lado, mas é prático porque fica no caminho a pé entre a casa e a praia. Foi uma boa opção para uns dias tranquilos em família. Recomendamos.

Airy, light and spacious in a good location. Pool area clean and functional but not very inviting - could do with more loungers and some umbrellas. Main suggestion - make a ‘house book’ with basic information on how everything in the apartment works, what to do/who to call when things go wrong (we had a power cut) and some local recommendations for eating and shopping. It would have been a great help.

Mooi appartement in Playa da Rocha

Het appartement is mooi gelegen, zo'n 10 minuten lopen van de boulevard cq het strand. De 2 slaapkamers zijn goed gesitueerd en de woonkamer is gezellig. De keuken is mooi ruim en de ligging van het balkon is prima op het zuid-westen. De entree is mooi en het geheel buiten ziet er mooi groen en erg verzorgd uit! Het agentschap zou het adres wat beter kunnen omschrijven door de straat ook te vermelden en niet alleen Castellos da Rocha, Loge 1 te noemen. Het was even zoeken 's avonds in het donker. De sleutel was daarna weer wel goed te vinden. Kortom een prima verblijf.

Very spacious apartment with everything you could possibly need within.

Had a fantastic stay in Praia da Rocha. The apartment was absolutely perfect with a great sea view from the main balcony. Pool is very large and varied in busyness while we were there. Sometimes we had it to ourselves for several hours, especially between 2pm and 4pm we found. But I never saw more than half a dozen people poolside at any one time, even though it was August when we went. 2 sunbeds were a great bonus by the pool marked with the apartment number, as not all the apartments in the condo had sunbeds and just used towels on the grass. Apartment is VERY spacious with all mod cons. It was very hot when we went so we did use the air con a fair amount. There is also a bonus side balcony off the kitchen which was great for hanging out washing. There are no British channels on the TV so if you are English speaking be sure to bring a laptop where you can watch iPlayer, films, etc.! We paid a very small amount extra for Wi-Fi and it was a godsend with the children, aged 9 and 14! We didn't hire a car in the end but supermarkets and beach are only 10 minutes away by foot. The beaches are spectacular. We preferred the beaches to the right as you face the sea where there were more interesting rocky outcrops and it wasn't so busy as on the main strip, which looked a bit like sardines in a tin. Cut through the caravan park to get to the quieter beaches on the right hand side. Can highly recommend the boat trip into the caves - 3 hours long was just right and the resident boat parrot highly entertaining! Trip cost 30 Euros per adult, 15 per child (under 12) and well worth it. Down the main strip are lots of market holders - be sure to barter with them and the same with the hair braiders - my daughter really wanted it done and we bartered 5 euros off. Definitely would like to return to this amazing place. Antonio is so very lucky to own this gorgeous apartment. :o)

Lovely spacious apartment with sea view

We stayed here last week for 8 days. We arrived late Sunday night so no 1 was able to meet us. Antonio gave us a detailed email with details of keys and codes for the apartment. Which was all easy to find and use. It really helps!! The apartment was spacious and was great for 4 adults and 2 children. The balcony was lovely to sit and have breakfast or a meal on. It’s a shame it isn’t a little bit bigger. We had a lovely week in the area which we have visited on day trips before. Lots of lovely restaurants no more then a 20 minute walk. There is a lovely swimming pool which is a great size and kids spent most of there time in there. It is such a shame that it isn’t cleaned more often as with the open space and building site next door you get lots of trees and bits in the water. Also some repairs need to be made to the pool. Lots of tiles are coming off and some holes in the pool which a few of us caught our feet on. We came away with a few grazes from the missing tiles and rough parts of the pool. That really let the pool down as it’s a great size and you don’t get many like that anymore. Once it was clean the children (and the adults) loved spending time in the water. The 2 Sun loungers were great especially as we were down there so long most days. The girls loved the park too!! The only other fault was the WiFi. Most days the connection was so slow nothing would work. With 2 younger children films and CBeebies is a must..... with such a poor connection it was a long week watching the few programs we downloaded. Thank you Antonio for being a great host even though we didn’t meet you! Maybe 1 year we will come back and stay :)

Apartamento muy grande con dos dormitorios, salón, cocina, baño y terraza. Lavadora y lavavajillas. Tercera planta con ascensor. Con piscina común y garaje. A unos 10 minutos de la playa de 3 castelos, accesible por escaleras y de la zona más concurrida de portimao. Está en una zona muy tranquila.

Lovely apartment

This apartment is lovely and maintained to a high level. The location is fairly good with only a 5minute walk to the beach and the start of the main front. The beaches are amazing in Portugal, they go on forever but shame the sea isn't warmer. We hired a car so we were out and about and made it easy to nip to big supermarket to get supply's. Very well equipment kitchen. The only downsides to the apartment is not having any loungers round the pool, had to sit on the grass. The other thing is there is a building site right next door, didn't bother us too much but would have been nicer without the drilling but they do have Sunday's off! The apartment block itself felt very safe and friendly. Great family holiday.

Super schön und unkompliziert

Wir waren zu viert (2 Paare zw. 24-27 Jahren) und hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub! Alles hat super geklappt. Als wir vom Flughafen kamen, hat uns Carla schon empfangen, um uns die Schlüssel zu geben und alles zu erklären. Sie brachte uns auch die Handtücher und das Bettzeug (muss unbedingt vorher bei Antonio für 10 € p.P. bestellt werden, wenn man es nicht selbst mitbringen möchte). Die Lage ist super. Der Strand ist in ein paar Gehminuten erreichbar und zusammen mit der Praia dos tres Irmaos einer der schönsten Strände an der Algarve. Vom Balkon hat man einen schönen Blick zum Meer und auf eine Weide mit ein paar Pferden. Zu Fuß kommt man auch gut zu den vielen Restaurants und Bars am Meer. Den Pool hatten wir die gesamte Woche fast für uns allein, wir waren allerdings auch nicht in der Hauptreisezeit. Die Wohnung war sauber und in einwandfreiem Zustand. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man so zum Kochen braucht. Alles in allem hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und werden gerne wieder kommen.

Great Holiday

My family rented Antonios apartment in July/August 2012. Before I comment on the apartment I must also name check the Taxi firm we used for the airport transfers - "Algarve 365". They were excellent and reliable. Also all drivers are from the UK and on the way to the apartment were more than helpful in giving us an overview of the area and hints on places to go, shops, restaurants etc. Couldn't recommend them enough. As for the apartment, well, what you see in Antonios pictures is what you get. A very modern, well kept and clean apartment in a relatively new apartment complex. It is very spacious, well presented & very comfortable. We had a small issue with hot water on the first day, but between Antonio on the phone and some friends of his in the same building we soon discovered that it was a building issue, not just affecting one apartment. But after the first night we had no recurrence. Another plus for us with renting a property was access to the very nice patio & pool. Unlike a Hotel, most time we had it all to ourselves - no fighting for a place near the pool here. In terms of location, this also could not have been much better. It was about 10 mins to the 'strip' were there was an abundance of restaurants of all types and price ranges. Beaches are excellent too. For those unfamiliar, as we were, with Praia Du Rocha it is a very Family type resort. An excellent size and not over commercialised. We found it easy to get around, mostly using local buses and people were helpful in pointing us in the right direction etc. we visited a few other resorts and this was for us one of the best. We had visited Albufeira quite a number of years ago and returned on this trip to find it unrecognisable and very commercialised. For shopping should you wish to do some of your own cooking or just basics I.e. water. We would suggest visiting the large supermarket which can be found by turning right out of the apartment street and heading to the main road. Turn right again and then keep walking. It's quite a walk, about 30 mins, but we did this, stocked up and got a taxi back. Well worth doing than keep carrying water etc around in the heat. Many thanks Antonio. STUNNING!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Antonio's apartment in June. We were slightly unsure about private letting an apartment but Antonio answered all of our questions and was very prompt and quick in getting back to us. Antonio provides the very best customer service! On arrival at the apartment we were met by Lu who was great and showed us around the apartment and grounds which are very well kept. The apartment is simply stunning and the pictures do not do it justice. It has all of the facilities you need and was very homely. The design is very modern and the kitchen is very functional. The apartment is also very secure so you don't have to worry when you go out. The beach is only a five minute walk away from the apartment and is picture postcard perfect!!! The nearest small shop is only a few minutes away and there is a larger supermarket on the strip for bigger supplies. The main strip is only a 7 minute walk away and there are bars and restaurants everywhere. 'la casa da rocha' restaurant does amazing seafood (try their garlic piri-piri prawns!) and has a beautiful sea view in the evening. The people in Praia De Rocha were very friendly and I would reccomend learning some basic Portuguese before you go. We found that we received better service in most places by attempting to converse in Portuguese. The only downside was that we were only there for 1 week, we now wish that we had booked 2! All in all a lovely place and a stunning apartment! I would recomend this apartment to anyone looking for a home from home place. It is suitable for families and couples looking for a great getaway! one of the best holidays, we ever had before

We booked a great holiday, everything was as described, we felt very well, our son (18 months) loved the sea and the beach, the apartment is great so we will come back. Antonio and his family gave us a warm reception, as we've known each other a long time, as friends. After 2 weeks, we had to go back to Switzerland, but we'll be back, thank you antonio, thanks portugal. Wir buchten einen super Urlaub, alles war wie beschrieben, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, unser Sohn ( 18 monate ) liebte das Meer und den Strand, die Wohnung ist so klasse, wir werden wieder kommen. Antonio und seine Familie gaben uns einen warmen Empfang, so als kennen wir uns schon lange, wie Freunde. Nach 2 Wochen mussten wir zurück in die Schweiz, aber wir kommen wieder, danke Antonio, danke Portugal.

Paradise!

We went to stay at Antonio's apartment for our honeymoon in July 2011. We were very unsure about private letting an apartment but the pictures were amazing and Antonio seemed nice so we went for it. We had also been to the resort before and knew the location of the apartment so we were happy with where it was. When we arrived, Antonio came to meet us and took us personally to the apartment. He was very friendly and showed us around the apartment and the grounds. The apartment was as shown in the pictures! Really luxurious! We spent most of our time on the large balcony and as Antonio suggested, we used his extension cable most mornings in order to take the toaster out onto the balcony for our continental breakfasts. The grounds and pool area were perfect. Most days we were the only people lounging around the pool in peace and quiet and the extremely secure entrance to the grounds meant that you were never disturbed by the public. In the evening, it was a 5-7 minute walk up to the main strip and there are restaurants everywhere. 'Food & Wine' and 'La Dolce Vita' were the best restaurants we went to. It was a bit of a walk out to the Casino (which did excellent cocktails) and again further out to the Fortaleza but well worth the walk. On the way back, you could jump in a taxi outside the Jupiter Hotel and it was only 4 euros to get home. If you prefer the beach to the private pool, again, it is a 5minute walk directly opposite from the apartment balcony. This is the most pleasant part of the strip of the beach as it is quieter than further along. For supplies, there is a mini supermarket 3minutes away on foot from the apartment if you walk up in the direction of the hotel 'Clube Praia Mar' and round the corner. It was ideal for fresh bread, milk etc and much better priced than the shops on the strip. When buying large bottles of water, this small walk back to the apartment was accessible. I would certainly recommend any couple or family to Antonio's apartment. It would easily fit four adults and two children. I would certainly give Antonio our custom again if we return to Portugal! Great value, great location, home away from home

We rented this apartment for the months of April and May 2011 based on the great reviews and the great correspondence I had with Antonio prior to renting. We were not disappointed. Antonio is an absolute charm and provided top notch customer service. He is awesome. This apartment is plenty roomy (we had 2 and one guest for 10 days) spotless, very nicely decorated, extremely secure and comes with everything you need to make it your home away from home. The grounds are kept immaculate. It is very convenient to 2 of the city bus lines and a 10-15 minute walk up to Av. Tomas Cabreira. Although more than feasible to take the city bus to the market, grocery store and area attractions, some may find a car more convenient. We did not have a car and managed. I would recommend this property to any of my friends or relatives. Antonio and his apartment were a GREAT find!

Semana de vacaciones ideal

Nos hemos desplazado desde Asturias una semanita hasta este apartamento para disfrutar de una estupenda semana de vacaciones. El apartamento estupendo, amplio, completo y muy bien ubicado tanto para desplazarnos por la zona como para ir a otros destinos de visita. El tiempo nos ha acompañado y el ambiente también, en junio se nota que todavia la gente no esta de vacaciones. Our excellent holidays in luxury apartment

We stayed unfortunately only for one week at this perfect place. We hired a car while we were there and it is really a great base to sightsee all of the Algarve. The location was perfect for us, less than a ten minute walk to the start of the strip, but far enough away that it wasn't noisy. The pool was deserted the majority of the week, so it was like having our own private pool. The public areas, gardens and pool area are all very well maintained. Special thanks to Lu and her husband, who met us on arrival and saw us depart is also lovely and was more than happy to answer any questions or offer advice. We can recommend this apartment to all our friends without any doubts and we hope to be in this apartment soon again.

Fabulous apartment in a great resort

Just back from a great holiday in Praia da Rocha. I have holidayed there on and off for years, ever since my parents had a time share there and this accommodation is definately worth the money. Antonio was very easy to deal with and communications before we travelled were very prompt. Lu, who met us on arrival and saw us depart is also lovely and was more than happy to answer any questions or offer advice (although we didn't really need any as i'd been to the resort and the surrounding area several times before). Special thanks must go to Lu who was still awake and waiting to greet us, even though we were nine hours late getting to the resort due to Faro airport being closed due to the volcanic ash cloud. The apartment is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. All of the fixtures / appliances are of a high standard. The apartment has every conceivable mod-con, including air-conditioning / heating which came in very handy as the temperature varied quite a lot over the week and a couple of the nights were rather cold. The kitchen, although we didn't have any need to do much cooking with so many great restaurants close by could easily be used to cook up a dinner party with plenty of utensils and dishes etc etc. The location was perfect for us, less than a ten minute walk to the start of the strip, but far enough away that it wasn't noisy. The pool was deserted the majority of the week, so it was like having our own private pool. The public areas, gardens and pool area are all very well maintained and the pool appeared to be thoroughly cleaned every night. Overall, it offers extremely good value for money and is definately somewhere I would return to the next time i'm back in Praia da Rocha.

A great apartment very close to Praia da Rocha

We had a wonderful vacation here. The apartment is clean, spacious, well-maintained and located in a quiet area (lovely when you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of beach life). Everything Praia da Rocha has to offer is close at hand with the beach only a short walk away (closest beach landmark is the miradouro bus stop). The grounds are lovely and well-kept. The pool and children's play area was a big plus for the kids (and for us). The apartment also came with a deeded parking spot and boasts outdoor gated parking as well. We would definitely consider coming back.

Excellent apartment to spend a week, at least. For its conditions, it sure was cheap. Very quiet place, nice and friendly people, and close to everything Algarve has to offer. Loved it.

Luxury Holiday

Just back from a great holiday in Praia da Rocha. We have holidayed there for the past 6 years and this year we enjoyed our best accommodation. The apartment is only 2/3 years old and is spotless. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and made sure that everything was just right for us. We stayed for three weeks and had the pool all to ourselves most of the time. We hired a car while we were there and it is really a great base to sightsee all of the Algarve. The apartment has every conceivable mod-con, including air-conditioning, and is kitted out to a very high standard. Just a nice distance away from the centre of the resort in a very quiet area. We've only just come back and already can't wait to return.
