We loved the cabin and the area. The neighborhood was very peaceful with lots of nature. The cabin was spotless with all of the comforts of home and then some. The added touches like nightlights, extra fans, games, cards, etc. were extra nice and we especially loved the front room and all of the windows. We would love to return one day for a longer stay!!

The host does a wonderful job at making sure this place is clean and neat for you.. if you plan on cooking while here, trust me you will not have to worry about not having enough pants or anything needed to cook with utensils or anything. Plenty of dinnerware. Plenty of cups will not need a thing in here. She absolutely has this place packed also plenty of towels. Also, she included a couple beach towels which was a nice touch. Really appreciated that The place is beautiful inside and outside. Standing out on the front porch. You can see the lake across the street which is gorgeous and the backyard is big. You have a nice place. Set back there if you have kids with you. There's also a basketball hoop on the side of the drive which is fabulous for kids. Also, in the way back corner of the yard is two hammocks up under the trees which is beautiful. I can't say enough about this place. It's definitely well worth staying here if you're planning on coming up this way. Hope you enjoy this place as much as me and my friend did

Everything was at least a half hour drive away minimum from this location. The location is very hard to find with the address in a board nailed to a tree especially in the dark. Great for a camping type get away but if you need laundry facilities close by or a home away from home not the greatest place. Otherwise it was a great place to stay and very quiet area. The beds were very comfortable.

The cabin was very well kept and the area was beautiful and quiet, just what we were looking for. It was also an easy drive to Muskegon and Grand Rapids for a day trip. My family and I loved our stay there!

2nd time I have stayed at this cabin. Quiet neighborhood, cabin was very clean and all normal needs were present inside. If I return to the area I will definetly check to see if available and if ITT is I will book it again.

Cute cabin getaway

We enjoyed the cabin very much. We grilled and had a campfire out back and it was so peaceful. The Kayak rental was very reasonable and just a short walk to the water. We also were not far from Lewis Adventure Park and Zoo and our teens had a blast. The lake is very shallow which is great for young kids but hard to fish off the shore so kayaks are a nice touch.

Unbelievable Price for the Location

A great cabin with lots of space, multiple bedrooms with doors, good internet access for the area, and plenty of cooking utensils. Close to multiple hiking trails, and very close to a huge, beautiful apple orchard. What I can’t believe is the price - for a literal lakefront property! - which was $20+ cheaper than any other cabin in the area. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a family visit

A second home

Nice cabin

Lance and Lori were fantastic hosts! It was a cute cabin . The only negative was the extremely small bed in master bedroom and not enough drinking water. I would recommend their property for a nice place to stay.

Quiet weekend at Sand Lake

It was a rainy weekend but we enjoyed our stay in playing board games and eating soup. Fishing when we could. Surrounding towns are peaceful with hidden scenic and service gems. Sand Lake was so pretty every morning. Great stay!!

Reunion with college friends

This cabin was the perfect place for a reunion with college friends. The yard is spacious for playing lawn games and we enjoyed hanging out around the campfire. There is plenty of parking for friends driving from different locations. The cabin itself is clean and comfortable. There are many activities to do in the surrounding area. Check-in and communication with the host was smooth.

Had everything we needed for a long weekend. Beds were more comfortable than others houses we've stayed at. Would recommend. Note: the house is a bit more east (by about 100 feet) than where Google maps directed us. The owners have a big address sign out front to make it easy to find.

The original cabin was built in the 1940's back when the roads were dirt and it was a 10 hour adventure to get here from Chicago. My uncle converted the seasonal cabin to a year round cottage in 1972. I looked forward to spending my summer vacations here. Many great memories were made. After I acquired the cabin, I restored the logs back to their original beauty and take great pride in keeping it clean and maintained for a memorable visit. This cabin has been passed down through 3 generations.
