Our family of 4 stayed at the property during the week of July 4th. The owner was great to work with, and was very timely in responding to us and our questions. The cabin is updated and it was a nice surprise that it had a dishwasher. The kids loved having their own top bunks. The kids (9 & 12), also enjoyed being able to paddle out on their inflatable rafts without much worry of a lot of boat traffic, as it seems like a pretty quiet lake. The owner had horseshoes and a corn hole game, which we didn't take advantage of. We loved the open space of the kitchen/living room area, as we had plenty of room to invite the parents and my elderly grandmother out for a couple of cookouts. We enjoyed the use of the infrared grill for these cookouts. Our most favorite part was being able to sit out in the screened in porch area facing the lake and being able to feel the breeze and watch the kids in their paddle boats. We personally did not fish, but watched some people trolling by catch some. We liked watching a couple very busy muskrats run about gathering up grass and swim back and forth. We didn't go into town, only once, to get Spankys pizza and breadsticks, which are the best ever! We spent all our time at the lake enjoying the peace and quiet. Even though there are neighbors, we didn't once see them or hear them! If you want a quiet low key relaxing place on the lake, this is it. The only reason I give it a 4, is that 1) There aren't a lot of TV channel selections, which didn't bother us, but may be a problem for a big TV buff, and 2) the beach area wasn't as sandy as we'd like, but the owner is definitely open to suggestions and is/has been working on it. There is Wifi. I give the owner a 5, because of his responsiveness, openness to feedback, and he even emailed us once during our stay to see if we needed anything. He was even kind enough to leave us some milk and cookies for our stay! He also refunded our deposit right away--(I left the place clean). Thanks, Wes, for a great stay that we all enjoyed!
