Maine Lake House/Camp 15 Feet from the water!

Beautiful Lake camp on Bog Lake in Northfield, Maine for rent. Northfield is perfectly located 40 miles from the Canadian border, 18 miles from the Ocean, 10 miles from historical Machias, Maine (site of the first revolutionary naval battle) and only 2 hours from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

The camp sleeps 6 comfortably and the bunkhouse sleeps 4-5. The main house has a huge 22x16 screen porch that overlooks the lake and has a huge lakeside deck which is less than 15 feet from the beach. The bunk house does not have running water but is a great space for extra guests to sleep. There is a huge backyard and miles and miles of wooded country roads to walk or ride a bike. Inside the main camp we have a TV with DVD player (no cable connection), dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, a gas grill. We do suggest you bring your own bottled water for drinking as the lake water coming into the house is not filtered. Outside we have a 4 person paddle boat and 2 kayaks for you to use. A new cell tower is less than 700 yards from the house giving you good cell/wifi reception. The lake has excellent fishing and is full of bass, trout, perch and even salmon!

The camp has 1 bathroom with tub/shower. Renters are asked to bring their own towels, sheets, and pillowcases. The main camp has 1 queen-size bed in the master bedroom, a queen size pull out couch in the living room, and a set of twin-sized bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom. The bunkhouse has 2 full-size beds and one single sized cot. The main camp has a spacious living room a huge kitchen and dining area overlooking the lake and lots of other unique features. This is a NON-SMOKING rental. Dogs are permitted with permission from the landlord.

Our place is a traditional, rustic Maine lake camp that has lots of modern amenities, but it is a camp, this is not a 5 star experience, it is a perfectly located camp on one of the most beautiful and quiet lakes in the area. Our pictures are part of the description so please take a moment to look them over. We have an excellent cleaning staff and the house is cleaned after each visitor leaves. Please check our refund policy before booking. Typically we only rent in 1 week intervals, Sat-Sat, but on occasion when we have a last minute cancellation we have rented for shorter periods.

The lake is perfect for swimming and has a very shallow grade, making it safe for younger swimmers. A huge glass sliding door and several large windows face the water and give you breath-taking views of the lake and its amazing sunsets. Lots of privacy, yet close to town for groceries and such...
