Great location

If you want a quiet and relaxing atmosphere this lovely home is the perfect spot. We liked being so close to the lake for fun on our boat but not being around the larger crowds at the lake resort. Tammy was great and took good care of us. Highly recommend for a nice mini vacation.

Fantastic getaway!

Tammy was great! She made sure we had everything we needed and was available if anything unexpected came up. The place was exactly as advertised and met our needs perfectly. If we make it back down to Land Between the Lakes we will be staying here again!

Comfortable place

Clean and comfortable, well stocked kitchen, whimsical beachy decor. Other than a little traffic noise due to the holiday weekend, this was a quiet place to stay. I had just ended several months of 60 -70 hours a week at work and needed relaxation...this place fit the bill. We would recommend to others.

A 4th of July get away

Our stay was fantastic. The place is nothing fancy but absolutely perfect for a weekend Lake stay. Moon River marina and bar is just down the road and a lot of fun. They have a great wave runner rental. Traffic noise going by the property was about the only thing we noticed. The property however was perfect for our needs.

Fun weekend near the Land Between the Lakes

House was as described. Had everything week needed except a pizza cutter. Great location near the water.

Fishing 2016

True to its name. Such a comfortable place to stay. located just far enough from town but yet close enough to be handy. I had 1 small request and Tammy responded very quickly. I will definitely stay here again. We got soaked 1 day and the washer and dryer was a bonus !!!

Do not stay here

We only spent 5 minutes at the property. Once we went inside, we found the entire place was infested with fleas. It was dirty and discusting. Pictures are very inaccurate. Only positive was I called the owner and she refunded us. Since it was a holiday weekend the only thing available for us to stay at was a hotel. We had our pontoon and food to cook for the entire weekend so this definitely made us have to restructure our entire trip.

Weekend at the lake

We rented this particular place because its close to a marina, restaurant/bar and boat ramp. There was plenty of space for two adults and three kids. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked although we only used the coffee maker and few utensils due to be on the lake all day and eating out at night. Moonriver is literally a minute away. They have boat slips, restaurant and bar and there is a boat ramp just a little further away.

Comfortable and good location

Tammy’s place was ideal for us. We felt very comfortable there. We were a family of 4 - 3 generations ranging in age from 15 to 73. There was enough room to allow for privacy as needed. There was plenty of things to do and good restaurants nearby. Tammy is a gracious host. She makes you feel comfortable and welcomed even before you get there. Even our cat fell in love with Tammy’s home. She didn’t want to leave and neither did we!

Nice place to spend a week

My husband and I came down for the week of July 4th with our 7 month old puppy. The accommodations and amenities were great. It isn't fancy but very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Our daughter, a couple of her friends and her boyfriend came over for two days and there was plenty of room for all. The only suggestion would be putting black out curtains in the front bedroom, as the eastern sun comes in the windows and it gets very bright and hot quickly. We will come again.

Quiet and peaceful home away from home

We absolutely loved Tammy's place!! She has gone above and beyond and stocked this place to the max with all the conveniences of home. The decor is very cute and homey. Loved the location and got to experience a little bit of wildlife...a turtle and some squirrels. Everything in the description was spot on. Sometimes you worry that pictures make things look better than they are...not in this case. Tammy was readily available if needed and she stopped by to say hi which was assuring. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away in a quiet setting. Thanks for a very relaxing, much needed long weekend vacation!!

Last minute trip

Tammy was easy to get in touch with. Prior to renting I needed to know if there was enough room to park 2 pickup trucks with 20 ft trailers and she responded quickly. This was a last minute trip. The trailer has been redecorated so the pictures here are not up to date. The trailer was clean and comfortable. It is an older trailer so keep that in mind. Overall it was great for our last minute trip.

Lake Barkley

The property has the potential to be a very nice rental. While we were there 4 nights, we had no heat.Although the host did go out and buy space heaters. The cleanliness of the property could be vastly improved. There was a very bad case of mold over the bathroom tub. Carpet has very bad stains, coffee maker still had used coffee in the filter. A deep cleaning and some improvements would make a big difference.

Adorable - Quiet - Comfortable - Clean

We stayed over the Eclipse 2017 weekend - and while there was mayhem in Hopkinsville - it was was relaxed and quiet here at Almost Paradise. First of all, kudos to Tammy for being the only place in town that wasn't price gouging. Her rate for THE weekend was still reasonable. Inside is cute, clean, and comfortable. We found everything we needed. I forgot to bring my orthopedic pillow (I have a pinched nerve in my neck that will give me vertigo,) but the bed and pillows in the master bedroom were so comfortable I had no problems. We had excellent wifi - there is cable for the tv, but we like to stream our shows from the iPad and that worked well. We grilled and ate at home most of the time, but Cadiz has some good places to eat - I loved the grilled cheese at The Cabin cafe. We'd definitely stay here again.

Dead mouse in the sink

The area and city of Cadiz is a great place to visit. We ended up at this property due to a previously reserved Vrbo location being sold, and we were not notified. We had to scramble to find a place, and this one looked okay. We found it dirty, mouse droppings on the floor and in kitchen drawers, stains on the carpet, in general not well kept or maintained. We did speak to the owner during our stay and showed her the issues. She indicated she would get an exterminator in after we left, no help for the next few days we still had booked with her. it could be a great place with some attention to the details.

great quite location

rented for 1 week, only down side. is bunk bed, bottom bunk full size kept hitting head on top bunk when getting up, no ladder for top bumk, had push the persom up.

Tammy was great!

I thought the place was relaxing and we enjoyed how close it was to the boat ramps. Tammy was very nice and checked in on us. We thought it was more remote-further from neighbors-based on description however it could have been our misunderstanding. Nearest restaurant (Moon River Marina) was closed most of the time we were there which was a bummer. Overall we had a good time.

I recently bought this property for vacation rental purpose. I wanted a project and it wouldn't hurt if that project paid a little. I have had a blast furnishing and decorating it with some new and some used and some refurbished pieces. It has a beachy feel inside and is comfortable and cute! I hope you feel the same way and become a repeat customer!

The large shaded deck offers an extra place to relax! As well as the huge fire-pit in the back yard for those cool fall and spring nights. The yard is level enough for a game of corn-hole, boccie ball, or your favorite game! Within walking distance of the lake, and only 3 miles from town the location is perfect! I hope you enjoy your stay! !
