Inhabitable and Unresponsive
We arrived at the property at 10 PM on Friday night. Cleveland had several previous days over 90 degrees. When we entered the third floor unit, it was like an oven – much warmer than the 84 degree outside temperature. The air unit in the living area was turned off. There was no unit in the bedroom at the far end of the apartment. There is no way that the unit could cool the area to a habitable temperature in any acceptable timeframe. We had to find alternate accommodations. I messaged the host who agreed to work with the host on compensation on Saturday. I have not heard from the host since that point even though I have followed up multiple times (other than a standard, give us a five star review e-mail after the checkout time). I delayed posting this review several days to allow time for the host to provide some response but have heard nothing.
The location is good (near the airport – some flight path noise), parking is great, the unit appeared clean for the 45 minutes we spent in it.
