Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great Location, Comfortable Space

This home has fantastic ocean views from the decks and has easy access to the beach. It is right across the road from a very nice, clean beach with available parking. The home was comfortable for our party of 5 adults and 2 small children.

2nd Experience

We enjoyed that the property was away from the hustle bustle of Galveston. As mentioned, this is our second trip to this same property. The only draw back was that there were a few repairs that needed to be made on our first trip that were still not repaired a year later. Also, the first trip I slipped and fell in the very slippery bathtub- I let them know. Nothing was done to fix this. There is also a low spot near the balcony door that is worse than it was last year when we were there. The only other thing is- I wish they would have given us a "todo" list prior to the morning of check out.... that would have saved us from stripping the beds before we left - etc. Over all great place- it just needs a few minor repairs and beware of the slippery bathtubs!

The property was in a great location. Very easy to find and far enough away from the sea wall that if was a quite visit. However, the crew that was responsible for cleaning this property did not do a good job. Upon our arrival we discovered the outside shower had a horrible smell of dead fish so we never were able to use it. The outside trash bins had not been emptied so the smell coming out of there was not pleasant. We call about those issues and none of them were taken care of during our stay. Several things needed to be addressed such as the outside water valve in the carport would not close so you had to use the nozzle on the hose to turn the water off and on, the faucet on the kitchen sink was not secure at all, the towel racks in both bathrooms were just barely hanging on the wall, and the place was just not as clean as you might expect from a place like this. The beds (all of them) were great, the ocean view was incredible and our stay was over-all enjoyable. You just might want to have a talk with the cleaning and maintenance folks about doing better on their jobs.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Extremely Disappointed – Unsafe, Unclean, and Unacceptable Stay I would strongly warn anyone considering this property to look elsewhere. Our recent stay was an absolute nightmare from the moment we arrived. The main issue was bugs—and not just a few. We encountered German roaches, American roaches, and various other insects throughout the house, especially in the kitchen. It was disgusting and clearly a sign of a long-term infestation. Beyond the bugs, the house was just filthy. There were dirty dishes in the sink, old food and items left from previous guests, and a rug that was soaked in some sort of pee. The place smelled awful, especially because it's located directly in front of a major sewage line and massive water tower—both of which are conveniently not shown in the photos. During our stay, the city emptied the sewage line, causing the entire home to reek for hours. There was also mold and visible water damage in several areas of the house. It is extremely concerning from a health and safety standpoint, especially if you're traveling with kids or anyone with allergies. To make matters worse, Vacasa did absolutely nothing to make it right. We contacted them multiple times, sent photos, and explained how severe the issues were. Their response? Silence or excuses. No offer of a refund, no relocation, no resolution at all. This place is misrepresented in the listing, unsanitary, and should not be available for rent in its current condition. We are a family who just wanted to enjoy a peaceful vacation—and instead, we left feeling frustrated, deceived, and incredibly disappointed.

Dealing with roaches, unclean conditions, and ongoing odor issues is unacceptable, and no guest should have to experience that. It’s even more upsetting to hear that these were long-standing problems that should have been addressed before your arrival. It’s also very frustrating to hear that you reached out to Vacasa multiple times and received little to no response or resolution. When serious health and safety concerns are raised, such as mold, pest infestations, and unsanitary conditions. A quick and effective response is the minimum that should be expected. It’s incredibly disappointing that this did not happen in your case. Our local team has refunded you for the inconvenience you have encountered during your stay. Thank you again for being transparent about your experience. Feedback like yours is so important, and we hope it encourages immediate improvements to both the property and the way it’s managed. You deserved better, and we truly hope your next trip is a much more enjoyable one.
