Cozy Log Cabin called Buffalo Horizon. Sleeps 4. Close to Frio River

Beautiful Log Cabin with 2 bedrooms and a jack and Jill bathroom. Has newly renovated kitchen with granite countertops. Pictures don’t do it justice. Just off River Road at the Frio River but secluded enough that you don’t feel that people are on top of you. Has fire pit and barbecue pit for your enjoyment. Tube on the Frio or sit on the porch and watch the deer. Beautiful setting.

The cabin is located close to the river, however there is not private access via walking. We have many great tubing companies around that can help you get access to the river and enjoy time with your family.

Overall the stay was great! Bare bones when it comes to kitchen things and cooking items like coffee, salt/pepper not provided. Which is fine we just weren’t prepared! Location is great easy to get into and out of. We had a great time and would stay again

We could have suggested a more secluded cabin if you had asked. We try to make our property easily accessible even though we are in the middle of Concan.

Wonderful place to unplug with our college kids and 2 dogs. We were a bit surprised with all the carpenter bees but there are traps. They were attracted to light so some string lights helped distract them from the door. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was fun watching the deee feed in the evening. We will be back.

Great cabin! We were stuck in Concan due to flooding. They went out of their way to help us and make sure that we had everything we needed. They extended our stay free of charge and were a pleasure to be around! Great people!!!

Cabin was clean and nicely kept. If you want coffee, there is a small Keurig but no K-cups; a couple bottled waters are provided to start you with. You need to bring more bottles and K-cups but it was not a deal breaker for us. Jack-n-Jill bathroom, TV’s in each room. Mini split A/C’s were nice for different cooler/warmer sleeping people. No washer/dryer but was also not a deal breaker. Kitchen is stocked otherwise as far as cooking utensils, pots/pans, silverware, etc. Property is at the end of a long road so it feels very remote and safe, very quiet - however it is a one car road so there will be times you may need to pull off.There is another cabin in close proximity (I believe another rental of the same company) but we didn’t really mind - we never heard the other people, even when they were outside. You do have a dedicated driveway to your cabin so you’re not encroaching on the other cabin and likewise them to you. I do believe there was some property work going on during our stay so there a was a little machinery noise but we were already up and moving around (around 10am) so we were not woken up by beeping. Front door window blind is missing but all other windows are covered. We used a towel and hair ties fastened to the plastic pieces where a blind was at one point.Communication with hose was very fast and clear. We do plan to make a river trip a yearly thing and will plan to stay at this cabin again (or the neighboring one) if dates match up.
