Whitefish Walkout-walk to Lake Superior Beach!

Enjoy a private studio space with its own patio and fire pit in our quiet ranch home. The Walkout is a lower level room and bath, redone with cedar. Walk to the beach (500ft)and use the fire pit there while watching northern lights or hunt yooper lights. Or both! Firewood is available at the road by the bundle or can be ordered ahead of time by the cord.
A nature preserve is next door. We sit two miles west of Whitefish point shipwreck museum and are 12 miles north of downtown Paradise, 25minutes from Tahquamenon Falls.
We have one dog, a Boxer named BB, conures,and some chickens on the property. A barbecue grill is provided.
We are usually onsight or a text away to answer any questions! 420-friendly.

Dino and Sarah were very hospitable. Not only did they have recommendations for places to go (and brochures) they also gave me a heads up on rough roads nearby. Everything was clean. I love the decor- especially the bathroom! The proximity of the beach is what makes this stay so special. Great wifi connection. I could go on. I highly recommend especially if you want some peace and quiet!

Dino’s place in the woods was great. The directions to find it were clear and easy to follow. The apartment was cute and had everything we needed. . We had access to a huge beautiful beach on Lake Superior. We were blessed with two night of dancing northern lights. It was fantastic!!

We loved our time at the Whitefish Walkout while on a little tour of the U.P. The home is very clean, only steps to Lake Superior, and the owners were right there when we needed them. Loved all the attention to detail and the cute decor! Cell phone service was spotty. All in all, we would have loved having more days to stay here!!

The walkout is very cute,and cozy and has everything you need to feel comfortable. The beach is great for an evening campfire and rock hounding. And the stars...The hosts, Dino and Sarah are very friendly and helpful and make you feel at home!We loved it!

Loved the place. Just be aware there is only a small fridge, a bbq and microwave. The location is beautiful, lots of hummingbirds flying everywhere. Quiet and peaceful! Short walk to Lake Superior to a private beach!

Host was friendly. Apt. was very comfortable. The free range chickens were fun. The beach was great and so was the rock hunting. Found 2 yooperites. If your looking to just kick back and relax this is the place.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Lots of dirt roads to get out there, but nothing our sedan couldn't handle (make sure you follow the directions from the host!) The lake was absolutely gorgeous and we managed to find a few yooperlites. The proximity to Tahquamenon Falls and the Shipwreck museum were perfect. Great stay, highly recommend!

We loved this little walkout. It was so peaceful and serene. There wasa BBQ grill and a fire pit near the patio. There's not a full kitchen, but it does have a microwave, mini fridge, and keurig. The beach is a short walk away, and has a nice area to sit and enjoy the view as well as another fire pit. It was close to the Great Lakes shipwreck museum and Tahquemenon Falls. It's a great place to get away and enjoy nature.

Everything was wonderful, self checkin was a breeze! Directions to place right on and what a wonderful site. Loved the decor, gentle country vibe! Peaceful and quiet, Dino and Sarah were spot on with response to inquiries. Chickens were friendly and quite handsome. Lovely location, easy walk to lake. Our stay was too short and very soothing. Nice quiet interlude from a month of hectic travel and family reunions! Loved our stay!

This listing is not accurate. 1. This is literally the basement of their house. Their response is it is listed as a “walkout”. That does not tell the renter it is the basement of their house. There is a door to the basement that is locked on their side. Meaning they could gain access at anytime.2. Listing does not tell you, you will not have phone service (SOS) mode.3. Listing does not tell you one route to the house is literally a two track. The roads are not maintained.I knew I was traveling to a remote area, I have been to this area several times. Remote is not the concern. Very weird vibe from the host who was in the yard when we arrived.As someone in the law enforcement field, I was strongly discourage someone from staying here, especially a female. I did not stay. Immediately left abs found a local hotel. I am now working with VRBO to get a refund, as the host was not willing to refund my two night stay after I advised them I left due to safety concerns.

Wonderful!

Very clean, private, nicely decorated cabin. Owners were so friendly and helpful. They provided French Roast coffee pods for the Keurig coffee maker, thank you!!! Lake Superior is 500' from the cabin, walkable or drive able for those with mobility challenges. Isolated beach for walking, rock picking, or just watching the waves. Truly a rare opportunity to stay so close to the Big Lake. Bring "U.P. worthy" bug spray. The town of Paradise is 15 minutes away with restaurants, a gas station/store and gift shops.

We enjoyed our time at Dino and Sarah’s “Bear Retreat”! The cabin-style apartment was cute, and having lake access right off the property felt like having our own piece of “paradise” Lol!!We discovered a new hobby—rock hunting—and found many unique stones. The location was perfect, just a short drive from Tahquamenon Falls and only a couple of minutes from Whitefish Point. Dino and Sarah were very friendly and very accommodating. We had a wonderful trip!
