Enjoy a 7 person Catalina Hampton hot tub with 72 jets, UV sanitation system allowing for a reduction in chemical use, blutooth audio sound system, LED lights, easy to use hard cover that folds to the side to become a convenient self/bar, and the mountain view from inside the tub!

Hike to the summit of neighboring Yellow Mountain, visit many nearby trails, including Whitewater Falls, Whiteside Mountain Trail, Dry Falls, Silver Run Falls, Gorges State Park, Rainbow Falls at Lake Toxaway, and more! Visit Sapphire Valley Resort, the Village Green in Cashiers, quaint shopping in Downtown Cashiers as well as Downtown Highlands. Enjoy superb dining experiences in town or cook dinner in the fully equipped kitchen with oversized granite island overlooking the mountain view.

Boating and swimming are available at nearby Lake Glenville. Return after a full day of fun to your quiet mountain oasis and watch the horizon turn to pink and blue cotton candy as sunset approaches, or take a short walk down the road to see the sunset over Yellow Mountain.

View from the back deck is amazing. Hot tub was wonderful . Spacious open floor plan with newly renovated kitchen . This is an older house that has been updated. Friendly neighbor dog looking for afternoon snacks gives you the at home feel. Great communication with owner. Wifi issues during storm so bring some DVD movies if that matters. No complaints . Everything was great

Beautiful views, wonderful hot tub, clean and comfortable bed. Wonderful host and a great tucked away house but about 20-25 minutes from downtown highlands!

The view from back porch was stunning.... We had issue with the Hot Tub, too much foam, could not use it for two days. Call VRBO and emailed host, very, very slow response. We were hiking for two days and needed the hot tub to work. Lot of dry rot on wood inside and outside. Shower in upstairs bathroom, felt like you were going to fall thru to the basement. Checked downstairs and ceiling had stains where upstairs' shower was located. Property needs TLC inside and outside. I am not one who usually complains, however the wife and I were extremely disappointed with cottage and VRBO response.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed Sunrise Cabin’s stunning mountain views and would like to provide context regarding the concerns raised. We responded promptly, despite the concerns being raised late in the evening. The very next morning, our pest-control professional came to this remote mountain property. No “swarms of bees” were found; he identified and treated a small yellow-jacket nest beneath the lower-level deck, away from the primary outdoor areas. That same day, our cleaner personally inspected the hot tub. The water was completely clear, properly treated and balanced, as documented with photographs. The slight foaming and bubbling when the jets were turned on was normal and harmless, caused by air entering the water. No treatment was needed, and she assured you it was safe to use. You subsequently enjoyed the hot tub that evening. The ceiling staining referenced is very minor cosmetic staining from a previous water incident. The bathroom and plumbing were inspected and confirmed to have no ongoing leak or plumbing issue. Sunrise Cabin is intentionally advertised as a rustic mountain property surrounded by flora and fauna, designed for guests who enjoy nature and the outdoors. We take maintenance very seriously. The cabin is thoroughly cleaned and frequently maintained, both inside and out, and we respond quickly when an issue is identified. We hope this provides helpful context for future guests!

Our family had a lovely stay at this home. As others have said, the views were unbeatable! The beds and linens were quite comfortable and we particularly enjoyed eating on the porch and using the hot tub. We also enjoyed checking out views of the mountains below through the excellent house binoculars and a visit from Yeti, the very friendly neighborhood Burmese mountain dog. :)Melissa was very accessible and prompt in her responses. She shared tips on opening doors to enjoy the mountain breezes and keep the house cooler when we were home during the day as the window a/c unit hadn't been installed for the season yet when we were there. Although the wifi was a little slow, the cell service worked quite well.Our whole family enjoyed our stay.

My GOODNESS, what a view. I mean, the place was great, everything was clean and nice and well taken care of but let me tell you... you don't stay here for the nice big kitchen, you stay here for the "as far as the eye can see" view from the porch. A!

Overall, we were very pleased with the property--the view certainly did not disappoint and we enjoyed our time there. Everything was in good working order when we arrived and the house was fairly clean. We especially appreciated the labeled light switches! Melissa was a wonderful host-communicated well and answered our questions quickly. Things were mostly as pictured in the listing.There were a few disappointments. The satellite internet was unreliable with clouds and rain. The kitchen was not as well-stocked with prep and serving utensils as we would've liked (we purchased a ladle and a whisk and donated them to the house). General upkeep was also an issue--old cobwebs need to be removed, insulation around dishwasher is loose, furniture in the living area and mattresses need updating, water damage at the baseboard near the upstairs shower, as well as the weakness of the fiberglass shower floor, should be addressed. And the toilet paper holder in that bathroom should be replaced, as it is currently a piece of dental floss tied around a roll, hanging on the old holder's base.If window unit AC is the ongoing plan, units should be provided in the bedrooms for those times when getting a breeze from the windows isn't an option, as in the case of rainstorms blowing against the windows. It was very stuffy in the house when we arrived.One last note: be prepared--property is on a gravel road, which is not in the description.

Our stay was lovely amd the views were beautiful! The property manager was friendly, helpful and easy to get a hold of. Also, the neighborhood was quiet and it was nearby the other places we were visiting.

Very nice cabin with a deck that offered awesome sunrise views. We were able to eat a leisurely breakfast at the cabin and then enjoy Highlands during the day. Late afternoon we returned to the hot tub and a light supper. It was perfect for our vacation. I would highly recommend this.

We had a wonderful family weekend in this home. The pictures of the view off of the large deck hardly do it justice. The large living room and kitchen area was perfect for spending time together. The kitchen had everything you need to create a nice meal. The whole home was very clean and comfortable. Melissa the host was attentive to our questions . We hope to come back again.

Great mountain views! Staring up at the constellations from the hot tub! Went to Dry Falls and hiked the Whiteside Mountain trail. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Beautiful

My husband and I really enjoyed this property. The Mountain View is beautiful the sunrise is so incredible. This cabin is close to Cashiers and Highlands. We hiked to several waterfalls, enjoyed the towns shopping and dining, and relaxed at the cabin. Perfect little get away.

Majestic Mountain Getaway

It was everything we were looking for! Tucked away in the hills with the most breathtaking sunrises. Easy access to Highlands, Cashiers and Sapphire! Quaint little shops and restaurants! Beautiful Public golf course in Sapphire and plenty of hiking to beautiful waterfalls! We highly recommend this wonderful get away and will be booking again in the future!

From a young age, I have vacationed with my family in the Great Smokey Mountains. The morning mist, the smell of rain, trees that dwarf even the largest of houses, and the sweeping panoramic mountain views pepper my earliest childhood memories. As an adult I have returned time and again. Our blended family came together in these same mountains and we have continually found joy in our experiences, hiking to waterfalls, having picnics and taking in the views of the summit of Yellow Mountain. We hope that others can also create special family memories in our favorite place.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The neighborhood was chosen by my late father-in-law more than 40 years ago. He was a Navy Pilot and then a commercial pilot for many years. He build this home for his retirement and shared it with family and many friends who would come to visit. He handpicked this particular lot, as the view of the mountains at this high elevation pleased him so much.

The view of the mountains is spectacular, and from this angle, the sunrise is beyond compare. On over an acre of land, the home is private and surrounded by nature.
