Our 1937 Cabin located near Lake Glenville has been completely renovated top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Everything new!!! Very private on 50 acre estate and the only rental on our property with great access to Lake Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Level entry, no steps!!! Gorgeous 1 Bedroom with a new queen bed, luxury linens, Lexington nightstand, small antique round side table, bench, small custom closet and Regina Andrew lighting, 1 Bath with Ronbow vanity, slate tiles on floor, tiled shower with glass door and a fully stocked kitchen. Gray custom kitchen cabinets and large island with microwave and granite countertops, glass top stove with double ovens and counterdepth fridge with bottom freezer drawer. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER or garbage disposal.

The washer and dryer is located in the pantry area. There is wood flooring throughout the cabin except bathroom’s slate tile. 65” Sony new smart TV mounted in living area above Restoration Hardware console. Mounted TV pulls out and swivels for best viewing. Direct TV , Netflix set up, Wi-Fi and Landline are included.

Two covered porches with large screened porch in back, all furnished with outdoor seating, tables, cushions and rocking chairs. Porches and walkway have red oak flooring. Private driveway and close, level parking . The fire pit area has a stone bench and two black Adirondack chairs with a custom firewood structure, plenty of firewood, kindling and starters. The 1937 Cabin has an automated full house generator. Elevation 3900! There is a hike on the property that is offered to our two guests staying at the cabin. It is 1/2 mile uphill the whole way and there is 300 feet that would be considered a strenuous hike with the most gorgeous views! Elevation 4300! We have planted 4000 rhododendrons, mostly purple on the property and they are planted all the way to the top!


We are located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville, 2.8 miles from public Lake Glenville boat ramps, 3 miles to Pines Recreation Area with beach and picnic area overlooking Lake Glenville, 8.3 miles to Cashiers and 14 miles to Highlands.

Many nearby hikes in the area with Yellow Mountain, High Falls and Whiteside Mountain being very popular. Lots of info in the cabin welcome guide about hikes, waterfalls and restaurants.

This cabin is top-shelf in all ways. Selena goes above and beyond to make your stay a 5-star experience. The property is so well-maintained. The cabin is beautifully decorated. The welcome book is full of useful info. Selena has it stocked so you can have a little something the first morning before you go to the store. There were juices, sodas, butter, half & half, coffee, sweeteners, even s’more fixins for the fire pit and snacks to take hiking. Do not hesitate to make your reservation at this cabin. The property and the host get a “superb” rating from us.

This was the loveliest home away from home we’ve ever encountered while traveling. It was cozy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you could hope for. Selina & John are welcoming wonderful hosts. Our Scottish terrier Skye loved the manicured grounds and places to run. We definitely hope to return one day soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at the 1937 cabin. It's beautifully furnished and so many little extras to make for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. We hope to return sometime.

Our host was so helpful in helping me surprise my wife on her special day by staying at this amazing cozy cabin tucked back in the mountains. The location is perfect for just relaxing and taking in the surrounding sounds and views of nature on the back porch drinking our morning coffee and wishing we never have to leave. Peaceful weekend away

We wanted someplace that was remote, offered outdoor space, had a full equipped kitchen for cooking meals. We were so surprised by all the extra touches that Selina and John added to this property. Everything you needed to have a bonfire, including smores supplies, variety of drinks in the fridge, super comfy bed, direct TV, not to mention the amazing hike on the property. The property was immaculate, super clean, with very nice furnishings. It was truly the most perfect getaway for relaxation.

The cabin was immaculate and well appointed with top notch furnishings. Everything you need for a home away from home getaway is supplied. Property and grounds were breathtaking. I didn’t want to leave. The hike to the top of the mountain is well worth it. The view is spectacular! Had s'mores at the fire pit and grilled out each night. Rented a boat on the lake and saw all the waterfalls.We walked the 3.5 mile loop recommend in the welcome book and enjoyed it so much!! This is the best VRBO we’ve rented and we will return.Thanks for a memorable experience!!

Special Place

Selina was a great communicator who gave great directions and awesome recommendations. The entire property is even better in person than it looks like online. The cabin is well decorated and super cozy. Unfortunately we did not get to use the fire pit, but it was adorable. Selina had even put fatwood and a lighter in a bucket next to the firewood. She had also supplied smore items and little snacks. The hike on the property is steep, but worth the view at the top! Selina's attention to detail was so appreciated, She literally thoght of everything you might need! while at their cabin. The location is also convenient between both Highlands and Cashiers. You won't regret your stay here!

Incredible location. Close enough to be convenient to everything yet remote enough to be secluded. Perfect accommodations for the two of us. Everything that we could think of was provided on site by the owners. Can’t wait to have an excuse to stay again.

Perfect cabin getaway!

This cabin was wonderful! Great hike on property to top of mountain with beautiful hidden gazebo and fire pit area, but a climb! Place was fully equipped for cooking with little extra snacks and staples to welcome you. Great firepit out back and close to many waterfalls, hikes and of course Highlands. A gem of a place!

My husband and I have owned this 50 acre property for 25 years. Our house overlooks Lake Glenville and was built in the early 1900’s. The 1937 Cabin was built by the original owner for his son and new bride in 1937 and is the only rental on the property. The 1937 Cabin is located on the north side of the property, very private and 7 acres or so from our house which you cannot see. The 1937 Cabin has been completely renovated from top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Many improvements have been made over the years including planting almost 4000 rhododendrons and is just breathtaking in May when they are in bloom. This property is one of the last large acreage overlooking Lake Glenville that hasn’t been developed.
