Basement off limits and sorry but our insurance will not allow us to provide access to our water craft. Speak to manager regarding watercraft options.

Beautiful location and views. House was great and property really nice. Kitchen fully stocked and all was great. We were there in the winter so no beach time but i would go back in the summer for the beach access and water fun. Thank you!

We just got home from our family vacation at Mike's place. Three generations trying to solidify connection through being together...we enjoyed the dock, the exploration of the waterways, schoocumchuck narrows and local lakes... with a few rope swings. Also loved that we could all sit down to dinner (15 of us) on the lovely deck. Mike was attentive and friendly. Thanks for hosting us!

The property is well equipped for a comfortable vacation - its location at the waters edge is exceptional, with lovey views from the terrace. Mike, the owner,is a delight to deal with and arranged a great boat tour of the inlet with some fishing thrown in. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay in Egmont

Fantastic location, spacious and private feeling property with comfortable dock for swimming and fishing. House had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and home cooking. Host was accomodating and responsive to messages.

Beautiful location! We enjoyed many meals on the deck and spending time on the dock. Great place for a group, very private and lots of space to play.

We had an amazing time. Mike was so very helpful and accommodating. We had 2 babies on this trip and 2 kids under 10 and they all had a ball. Lots of options for sleeping and so much to do on the property. A glorious time.

What a beautiful piece of paradise. Fishing, swimming in a near by lake, hiking, playing games and simply enjoying watching the ocean activities. Boats, birds, seals, schools of fish. Loved it!

Perfect stay!

Just what we were looking for as a 3 generation family get away. Right on the ocean, fishing from dock was great, lots to explore for the younger kids with starfish, porpoises, seals, sea cucumbers, anemone and crabs. Highly recommended this location.

This is a great property. Having access to a private dock is lovely, and the house itself is very cozy. The host was very communicative and easy to reach when needed. It is important to note that the loft bedroom above the kitchen can only be accessed by a ladder hooked onto one of the beams. If you have guests who are not comfortable with heights or have accessibility concerns, this limits your sleeping arrangements. This was fine for us, though, and the other bedrooms were easy to access. Thanks for a lovely stay!

A great on-water property for vacation

This place located in a very peaceful and quiet place, especially right on the water. It has its own dock and our kids enjoyed it very much. Small fish, starfish and jellyfish everywhere. We paddle boarded a lot to the closest light house with lots of seals there. The hose has a very unique setting with 4 bedrooms including one loft bedroom right above the kitchen. One bathroom inside and another one can be assessed only from outside but attached to the house. The fireplace is right face to the ocean and beautiful starry sky is right above our head. Mike answers questions very quickly. We enjoyed every bit of the house. Highly recommended it very much.

Fun on the dock

Spectacular setting right on the water. The kids loved catching shiners from the dock as well as starfish, jellyfish, and sea cucumbers. (All returned safely to their watery home). One family of three, including the 11-year-old had no problem climbing the ladder to sleep in the kitchen loft. Nice big lawn in front of the house for the kids to play. Great family outing on guided kayak tour from Egmont Adventures next door.

Memorable get away

Mike has a great, quiet place with a beautiful view. Property is very well maintained and was everything we expected it to be. We were able to bring our boat with us and tie it to the dock enabling us to explore and fish daily with some great advice from Mike on where to go. I’d absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet wilderness getaway

Great week with the family

Mike was a great host. Helpful and responsive but not intrusive in any way. The accommodations were as advertised. Spectacular views, lots of wildlife around including deer, eagles, seals, and even Orcas swimming by the house. We did a fun half day fishing trip around the area with Mike and he was very knowledgeable. Lots of warm swimming lakes around if you want a change from the ocean views. Great place for a family get away. Will definitely go back.

Be careful with the listing.

We were a group of 8 adults looking for a nice place to spend the winter holidays. "Nice" was important, and we chose the listing by pictures and reviews. The good: Location is good. The place is clean. The host was responsive. Those rooms that are on the photos are as good as in the pictures, except you need to place a metal ladder in the middle of the dining room. The bad: In winter, for adults, this is NOT quite a 4-bedroom 2-bathroom place. The second bathroom is outside, you can walk there through weather but you would not use the shower. The 4th "bedroom" aka "kitchen loft" is a small attic above the kitchen, accessible with a construction ladder. There is not enough head space to place a bed rather than a mattress, let alone allow an adult to stand up. This was not reflected in the description, and that loft was not in the pictures. Could be fine for a bunch of kids - think for yourself. We had to place there the youngest couple, exactly the people looking for the nice place. Nuisance for them, and a huge embarrassment for myself.

Beautiful location and view

Great location with beautiful wilderness. Unique house with ocean view. Owner very accommodating. Neat pub nearby and the Skookumchuck Narrows is really close.

As an early retired police officer, active building contractor, recreational and commercial diver, fisherman, and general all around outdoorsman who has spent most of his life on the West Coast of B.C. I can tell you that this location is one of the most beautiful, accessible and not commercialized areas around which is why we love it and enjoy sharing it with others. The ongoing property transformation from a tiny shack in the bush to a seaside family retreat is a reflection of the love of the area and the feelings we have about family and friends bonding and enjoying the precious recreational time that we all seem to have too little of. We suspect you will agree with our family and leave happier and a little closer too. That is our desire and goal.
