Summer, private beach holiday. Swimming, 4 kayaks, 2 canoe and rowboat.
20 minutes to Madeira Park: groceries, credit union, pharmacy, liquor store, coffee shop, Mexican and Japanese restaurant, pub, government dock with boat launch. 5 minutes to John Henry Marina and liquor store.
It is a large, quiet, peaceful, private lot, surrounded on 3 sides by forest, 4th side is the lake.
Bedroom on main floor is ensuite. 4 bedrooms upstairs each have their own sink. 1 of them also has a toilet. Upstairs bathroom has 2 sinks and separate toilet room and toilet/shower rooms.

Joanne’s place was perfect for our family weekend away. We enjoyed the spacious house, perfect for a large group, and also enjoyed taking the kayaks and canoes out on the lake.

The owner was very welcoming and even baked us a delicious banana bread cake! Flexible check in was much appreciated. Great location on the lake. Highly recommended!

The property had everything we needed for our large group. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable and there were lots of toys, life jackets and water craft for the lake.Joanne is a very friendly host.

Great location on the water. Joanne is a terrific host. Lots of room for all 9 of us. Extremely well supplied with everything you need to cook. Very comfortable beds and great pillows. I have no hesitation at recommending this house.

Beautiful Lake Front

We are a 3 generation family of 9 and this house was great! The 5 bedrooms worked out really well and so did the bathrooms. The lake is a lot of fun for everyone with all the floaties, kayak, paddle board and the boat that is provided. A very warm lake to swim in and the rope swings across the lake were a bonus. The host is very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed the daily visit from the deer as well. The Wi-Fi is excellent. Overall, a great experience that we wish to repeat.

I had an incredible time staying at Joanne’s wonderful property, and it was an experience I’ll cherish! The highlight of my stay was the serene backyard, where I was delighted to see deer roaming freely and the kayaking experience they provided. The property is ideally located near beautiful waterways, making it perfect for a kayaking adventure. Joanne was an exceptional host, making sure we got everything we needed, and she was always available for any questions we had. The property itself was spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. It felt like a home away from home, with the bonus of nature’s charm right outside. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with a touch of natural beauty, I highly recommend Joanne’s place.

Not exactly what we expected

The location and size of the house were perfect for our group of 10. Joanne was pleasant and easy to communicate with. The home itself was a bit overcrowded with furniture and we were surprised to find a lone toilet and sinks in the upstairs bedrooms. A couple of the appliances were not working which was disappointing but we made do. Overall, we had a good time and truly enjoyed the easy access to the lake, the boats/kayaks/canoe available for use, and the wild life that paid us a quick visit.

The property enabled a great stay

All was good and as described. A few sink faucets need some work and a gate at the top of the stairs is needed given their proximity to a bedroom doorway.
