Welcome to our cozy garden studio, a renovated garage conversion attached to our 1940s home in a quiet Portland neighborhood. The studio has its own private entrance and offers a simple, comfortable, and well-equipped home base for exploring the city and surrounding nature.
The space includes a queen bed, full kitchen with a 4-burner gas stove and oven, full refrigerator and freezer, Keurig coffee maker, and everything needed for cooking, including pots, pans, blender, waffle iron, and basic baking essentials. It’s set up for guests who want the option to cook and stay in comfortably.
You’ll also have a dining area, Smart TV, fast Wi-Fi, a gas fireplace/heater for cooler months, and a window air conditioning unit for summer. The studio has polished concrete floors, which are durable, easy to clean, and help keep the space comfortable year-round.
The bathroom is compact and functional. Because the studio shares one wall with our home, occasional light household sounds may be heard at times, especially near the bathroom area. Most guests find the space quiet and restful.
Outside, guests are welcome to enjoy the shared backyard space. We also use the yard, and it remains a calm, residential outdoor area to relax in.
The location is just 10 minutes from downtown Portland and close to the International Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Hoyt Arboretum, Forest Park, and the Oregon Zoo. The Columbia River Gorge and Oregon Coast are both easy day trips.
This studio is best suited for travelers looking for a clean, practical, and well-located space with a full kitchen and a relaxed, residential setting.
