Oak Grove Cabin

Unwind on Ethel Lake at this lovely cabin complete with your own beach. With 3 bedrooms, this cozy retreat is perfect for families or groups of friends. You'll find everything you need for a wonderful stay, from a fully stocked kitchen to a wide open basement for rainy day activities. We are just down the road from 1910 Sip House and within 10 minute drive to either Battle Lake or Ottertail. Motorboats are welcome and a dock that is usable until the first freeze of Autumn. Common fish found in Ethel Lake are largemouth bass, northern pike, crappies, walleye, and perch, among others.

Perfect Lake Cabin

Oak Grove Cabin was perfect for our family celebration. We gathered to celebrate a major birthday and did a lot of cooking. The cabin was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked, we could not be happier with our experience. We will certainly book again when we return to the area.

Great place to stay for fishing

Our group of 12 included 6 adults and 6 children. We love fishing the lake and found this place a great fit for our group. We could fish for a while then come in and change groups easily. The indoor space worked well on the raining day and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around.

Fall fishing trip

The house was perfect for 6 old dudes and 2 boats. We spent a lot of time sitting on the front porch or around the fire pit, enjoying the beatiful view of the lake. Very clean and full of helpful amenities for an excellent stay.

Thanksgiving getaway

This house was perfect for our Thanksgiving retreat! Kitchen stocked with everything we needed to cook the holiday meal (brought a turkey roasting pan) and a beautiful dining area with fireplace for the feast! We loved the recliner sofa for football and movies and had fun playing ping pong and corn hole in the basement (although the basement heat didn’t kick in while we were there, got warm enough playing games). The master bath tub was nice and the bed super comfy! We’ll definitely be back!!

Communication with the owners was excellent, quick to answer questions prior to our arrival. Check in and check out with simple with quick directions to enter the house. Cabin itself provided a lot of space and the kitchen opens up to dining space so while we were cooking we could still chat with family. Beach area was great! 1 year old and 4 year old loved fishing off the dock and the gradual entry into the lake provided lots of swimming fun!
