Great Place, Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in Tidewater I 302 for a week. The place has a good ocean view. You can see the sunrise from the living room area. Everything was clean. The furnishing and decorations were fine. It looks like some work was done on the place recently. By that, I mean work was done recently and/or that the property is well maintained. The beach around Wild Dunes is better than I have seen in a while. Our experience with Island Rental was great! Their operation is about as smooth as can be.

Fall Beach Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Tidewater I302 was the perfect Wild Dunes property for our fall getaway. Located steps from the beach, we had perfect view to the morning sunrise from the porch and the loft crows nest. The condo was clean, spacious and efficient offering all the amenities of home. The screened porch was a lovely extra, allowing us to eat outside without having to fight insects. Tidewater is a smaller complex on the north end of the island offering a more private stay with less noise and traffic. Island Realty made check-in and check-out very easy. We highly recommend this property and hope to rent again next time our travels take us to Isle of Palms.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed this condo / couple suggestionsNeed raised toilets in the bathrooms for older folks like us / hairdryer needed in second bathroom And the biggest concern is the very small dinning area table ( yes limited space I understand BUT the table is great if you are 12 years old and the chairs are WAY too small and low for any adult / we didn’t enjoy eating in there and didn’t but once / really youneed adult size chairs / I mean teally? It was clean and we enjoyed the deck overlooking the ocean / we had noWater or power in Asheville due to storms so this was goodfor 4 days / with a few updates on toilets and table I’d rent again but not until that’s done / thx to island reality staff formuch help during our storm trip / DJ

Tropical Storm disaster

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked for 8 days, and the tropical storm came to the area 2 days in. With the flooding and emergency concerns and notifications we decided to evacuate the area. I do realize there is trip insurance that can be purchased, but given the circumstances mother nature provided, the management company just said "sorry". The property was very nice and in a good location. I will not be booking through Island Realty again.

Better than a Hotel

With a family of four there was plenty of room and much better then paying the price of 2 hotel rooms! This place was updated a bit and we appreciated those special details. Primary shower head needs more water pressure or to be updated. Great location close to the beach. We really like the Tidewater condos we have rented. We will stay again if available to rent next time.

Review of our Christmas Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed another vacation on IOP. This was our 20+ year at the beach at Christmas. The Unit was nice, but the furniture was disappointing. The sofa certainly needs replacing as it was very uncomfortable as it had no support. Also, it faced a wall; not the TV.Because of all the rains, it was very difficult to find an access point to get to the beach. The properties might consider some kind of walkway that is elevated in case of flooding. People were having to walk over the dunes and making their own paths. I'm sure this isn't the first time the tides were so high or there was large amount of rainfall. We look forward to returning next Christmas again.

Electronic batteries are pretty standard and we always carry a few spares, but ceiling fans often have odd batteries which are hard to find and expensive for a one week stay

Top floor beach view

It was a very nice property with a perfect view of the ocean. The screened in porch was perfect for family meals and relaxing. The 2nd outdoor porch on the floor above gave great views of the surrounding area. The pool was perfect for the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful condo for a week at the beach

There were thoughtful touches like nightlights in all of the right places, labeled switches, remotes, cabinets, etc. Our son enjoyed having his own little space on the top floor. The cable box does not work in the main bedroom, but that was the only issue we experienced. Beautiful condo that we would be happy to stay in again.

School’s out!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th vacation in IOP, but 1st time staying in Wild Dunes. We are a family with 2 teens + grandma (5 guests total). Tidewater condo complex and beach area was very family oriented. We saw families of all ages at the pool and beach. We were concerned that our teenagers would miss walking to restaurants and ice cream, but they didn’t seem to mind at all. We took the opportunity to explore different restaurants on IOP, Mount Pleasant, and Sullivans Island. I highly recommend checking out Islander 71 at the IOP marina. Tidewater I 302 was very clean and well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and extra bedding. We were disappointed that there was no Keurig/pod coffee maker, but made a quick trip to Harris Teeter for ground coffee. Our 17 year old stayed upstairs, he loved having his own room and deck. The rest of us were not comfortable going up and down the curved staircase-it is very narrow and steep. Great for a teenage hang out. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch overlooking the pool and beach. Although labeled at oceanfront, we were surprised how far the beach was from the condominium complexes in Wild Dunes. I, personally, missed the breeze and the sound of the ocean, but the rest of the family enjoyed the non-crowded, expansive beach experience.
