Elevated Oceanfront 6 Bedroom / 6.5 Bath Home With Large Screened Porch, Elevator & Access to Beach (part boardwalk and part dune)! This seaside retreat features heart of pine floors & beautiful wood paneling. It is the perfect place for building family memories and enjoying summer days and nights with friends. Enjoy sunrises and ocean breezes on the large screened porch or the sundeck. Beautifully decorated home with large yard, and private access path (part boardwalk and part dune) to beach. This home has the most repeat guests from Island Realty, so book now!

Features include: Flat-screen TV/DVD in living room, den and Bedroom 1, WiFi, Gas Grill, Elevator access at every level, and an outdoor shower underneath the house. Third floor den is host to a TV with DVD, wet bar and mini fridge, and access to oceanfront balcony. Dining table seats ten with additional seating for four at breakfast table, and three along kitchen island. Half bath and laundry room/Pantry located just off kitchen.

It was a beautiful, nicely decorated house with great views of the beach and the ocean. Nearly everything about the house and property was as good as or better than what was advertised. We hope to return again for another stay.

We could not have found a better place for our family Christmas gathering. Perfect, aside from a few sneezes from our mold-sensitive family members - probably in the couch and easliy remedied. The porch out back is perfect for watching the sun rise and long conversations. The one maintenance glitch on Christmas Eve day was VERY quickly rectified! We will be back!!

Our family vacation!

We really enjoyed the rental house. We especially love the ocean front.! If I had any complaints, it would be to finish out the decking that goes over the Dune to the ocean front. Great vacation!!

Best.Vacation.Ever.

My family and I stayed here for the first time. It was by far one of the best experiences we have ever had. Perfect location, perfect space and perfect amenities. The house has so much charm and character. We felt like we were in our home instead of a vacation rental. We can't wait to go back and I would highly recommend staying here.

The location is great, it had everything my family needed. The view of the ocean is fantastic. We never rented a house with an elevator before, but it really helped both moving in and out, and a family member who had physical difficulties. One of the many reasons we selected this house is the number of bedrooms and bathrooms - it is nicer to have separate bathrooms. The house has a peaceful feeling.

Wonderful Beach Vacation

This house was absolutely perfect. We stayed with 3 other families. It was big enough to accommodate everyone very comfortably. The living space was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone. We were all comfortable. The decorating was cool and beachy, the house was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed plus plus. I had to do some work in the mornings and the WiFi was good. It is located right on the Ocean with an awesome beach and fantastic view. I can’t wait to go back.

Great week at the Beach

The furniture there is so uncomfortable and falling apart. We would recommend for a house that size and price to have another refrigerator and more than 5 wine glasses. We like the 6 bedrooms & 61/2 baths. Fun family house!

Thank you for your suggestions. The home owners have since added some new cushions for added comfort on the screened porch. The cabinets over the wet bar in the dining room hold several extra wine glasses. I'm so sorry these were missed!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrific vacation and fabulous house. This house is beautifully decorated with plenty of room for a large group. Six bedrooms all with their own bathroom gave everyone room to stretch out. The kitchen is very well appointed with every cooking utensil possible for those that want to eat in. The view from the screened in back porch could not have been more relaxing or more comfortable with rocking chairs for everyone. Your own private entrance to the beach meant it was no problem going back and forth so a brief thunderstorm would simply mean it was time to go back to the house for a quick snack or nap. Location, location, location!

Perfect house for a family gathering!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a perfect place for our rare gathering of our three grown children, their spouses , and our three grandchildren 2 and under. With everyone having a beautiful bedroom and their own bathrooms, they could have privacy and sleep on their own schedules. There were so many different areas to gather but our favorite was the beachfront screened porch. Due to tropical storm rain the week before almost every beach access path on IOP was flooded but ours was high and dry due to great boardwalk path. House was generously outfitted with everything we needed to feed everyone at the table for 12. Our 30-something’s could walk to get preferred items at grocery store, seafood store, and liquor store but we might have well been in the middle of nowhere once we got side the house and porch. Views everywhere. We never turned on any of the many TVs. Loved the outdoor shower, hose, and carts/supplies under the house. In short, we loved this house, felt it was well worth the price, and hope to return some day. We highly recommend it.

Beautiful house, but serious mold issues must be remedied

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family (visiting from 3 different states) had a very enjoyable week at this lovely house. Unfortunately, more than halfway into our week, we realized that the house has some serious mold issues (looks like black mold). This was first brought to our attention by a family member who noticed a significant amount of black spots on the ceiling of the main floor bedroom (closest to the kitchen), and he noticed that his allergies and nasal issues seemed to be flaring up since his arrival. The maintenance team was very responsive and did clean the ceiling the same day we called (they also took care of a few hornet nests on the front porch area). Unfortunately, the next day, we started noticing mold spots throughout the house -- most noticeably on the main level around the back doors (kitchen/dining room/living room areas), in the corners/crevices of the wood wall paneling, and around outlet areas. Upon closer inspection, we also noticed the same black mold fuzz and markings on the second level, around the sitting room and in the bedroom. We called to inform the realty office and spoke with Michelle, emphasizing that we believed that there was a serious mold issue that is probably behind much of the wood wall paneling throughout the house. At that point, it was too late in the week to request a move to another property. We were disappointed to discover the mold issue, because we found the house to be lovely and would have even considered renting it again. The rooms were well furnished and we especially loved all of the generous seating in the kitchen/dining room areas, as well as the thoughtful decorations throughout the house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Truly beautiful, well laid out home! Beautiful large screened in back porch with plenty of seating. Large kitchen with utensils, pots and pans galore! While beautiful, the home does need updates to furnishings as couches and mattresses were HORRIBLE! The foundations under the mattresses were very LOUD and would wake you if you moved during the night. Also the private beach walkway was terrible! No handrails and part of it as you approached the dune was extremely high off the ground. Once you reached the dune you were in the sand climbing way up and then running over the top to get to the beach. We considered it to be dangerous for falls, splinters etc. Both neighbors on each side have brand new beachwalks that extend over the dune, and allowed us to use theirs. We enjoyed ourselves, but sure would have slept much better, and relaxed more had the couches and mattresses been updated and more comfortable. PLEASE invest in new couches, and mattresses!!

The location is excellent, very central, the house and its layout excellent for 4 couples with 4 young children.We are cooks, so the following are cooking comments:- The large dining table was excellent for our group- Good cookware in the kitchen, decent dishes and glasses; could use more plastic dishes and cups for kids- Proximity to Harris Tweeter grocery store is fantastic!- Great gas grill on porch- Per previous comments, the electric stove is fiddly and in need of replacement- The utility room sink next to the kitchen is very handy- There were no condiments of any sort, not even salt & pepper. Highly recommend owner provide S&P, cooking oils, flour, sugar, but plan on buying everything you will need to cook.Note that there will be no beach towels, you have to provide your own or use the house bath towels. Island Realty should consider making beach towels part of the linen package.Island Realty support was very good. There was no stereo in the house, and insufficient nightlights. They bought and provided them which was really nice.If you will be checking in late, after dark, be sure to request that outside lights be turned on. It was pitch black when we arrived and that caused difficulties.But overall, a great stay in a very nice house. We will return!

Isle of Palms rental problems

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the house was terrific, we had two complaints. First, the stove top was not functioning properly. (We suggest it be replaced.) It was very difficult to operate and did not heat properly. Since we were only using the stove top for our breakfasts, it did not present a MAJOR problem, but we were definitely unhappy with it. Second, the elevator was malfunctioning, which was of great concern, as two members of our group were handicapped. After contacting Island Realty about the problem, they had one of their maintenance staff come to the property to verify our complaint. (We did not go out for dinner as planned, since we were not sure the elevator would be reliable to move between the first and ground floors. It would not go up to the second floor at all.) When the elevator technician came to the property the next day, he implied that we were not using the elevator properly and stated there was nothing wrong with it! Since I had emphasized the importance of having a functional elevator to accommodate our handicapped family members, we were extremely unhappy with the situation and the way it was ultimately handled. Would not recommend this property if any handicapped people in your party.
