The Space:
This third-floor 1BR apartment sits just off the Hawthorne corridor, close to restaurants, cafes, shops, Ladd's Addition, transit, and neighborhood streets.
Inside, the apartment includes a queen bedroom, full kitchen with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and dishwasher, cable TV, fast WiFi, a laptop-friendly workspace, and in-unit washer/dryer.
Cooling and primary heat come from a mini-split in the living room, with cadet heat as backup. The bedroom does not have its own AC unit, so airflow can be less direct with the bedroom door closed.
This is a top-floor/third-floor walk-up with no elevator. The apartment faces away from Hawthorne, which helps with street noise, but building or neighbor noise can still be audible at times.
Guest Access:
The entire apartment is yours - no shared interior spaces.
🔑 Self check-in with smart lock - arrive on your schedule
🧺 In-unit washer & dryer
📶 High-speed Wi-Fi throughout

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is already set up. If anything comes up, we're a quick message away.
The Neighborhood:
Hawthorne is one of Portland's most walkable and iconic streets - lined with restaurants, vintage shops, and the kind of indie energy the city is known for.
¿Por Qué No? is a neighborhood staple for tacos and margaritas - expect a line, but it moves fast and the outdoor patio is worth it. Jam does some of the best brunch on this side of town. Maruti is our pick for a sit-down dinner - vegetarian Indian food with housemade everything, and they do gluten-free naan in a tandoori oven. For coffee, skip the chains and walk to Tōv - an Egyptian-Turkish coffee shop featured on Netflix's Somebody Feed Phil, with cardamom lattes and cushioned seating that feels like a different world.
When nobody can agree on what to eat, Hawthorne Asylum solves it - a food cart pod with 20+ carts, a full bar, fire pits, and covered seating. Everyone picks their own thing and meets at the table.
A few of our favorites nearby:
🌮 ¿Por Qué No? — Portland's favorite taqueria (the Bryan bowl is a must)
🍳 Jam — neighborhood brunch spot, go early on weekends
🍛 Maruti — vegetarian Indian with incredible tikka masala and GF naan
☕ Tōv — Egyptian coffee, as seen on Somebody Feed Phil
🛒 Hawthorne Asylum — 20+ food carts, full bar, and fire pits
☕ Coava Coffee — if you want a classic Portland pour-over
The street also has Powell's Books on Hawthorne, vintage shops, and the Bagdad Theater if you want a movie with a beer. Laurelhurst Park is a short walk for a picnic or a stroll around the pond. Buses run frequently to downtown, and the whole neighborhood is easy to explore on foot or by bike.
Getting Around:
🚶 Walking — This neighborhood sits between the Division and Hawthorne corridors, two of Portland's best streets for dining and shopping — both within easy walking distance.
🚌 Bus — TriMet Route 2 (Division) and Route 75 (Cesar Chavez) provide frequent service to downtown (~15 min).
🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share stations nearby. Portland's bike lane network makes cycling easy and safe.
🚗 Driving — Free street parking available (read signs for restrictions). Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) typically arrives in under 5 minutes.
✈️ Airport — PDX is about 16 minutes by car or a quick MAX + bus connection.
Other Things to Note:
🐾 Pet-Friendly Space
We welcome pets! Our cleaning team deep cleans between every stay, though we can't guarantee 100% dander-free for allergy-sensitive guests.

We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
