Our cabin has been a family getaway since the 1940s. Through the years the property has been enjoyed by family and friends, for vacations and memorable good times. Deep in the redwood forest, there are giants redwood trees to enjoy. Its located in a private gated community of 70 homes with a beautiful yard and deck. You can see and hear the sounds of Butano Creek from the deck. Many guests report the best sleep they've had, A great place to recharge and enjoy nature. Easy access to miles of hiking and biking trails. 5 miles to Butano State Park, 8 miles to Pescadero, 10 miles to beaches, 35 miles to Santa Cruz, 30 miles to Half Moon Bay and one hour to Stanford. Come and enjoy a peaceful stay in the Redwoods and just in case you need to get on the internet we have Wi-Fi too! We also have a 20% weekly discount and a 30% monthly discount if you want to stay a little longer. there is a pet fee for dogs

Get away in the Redwoods

We had a great time at this spot. It is very quiet and yet near both Pescadero and Butano State Park. The backyard is large and fully fenced, so our dog could freely go in and out. A charming Knotty Pine cabin.

Redwood wonder

The house is nestled in a wonderfully secluded area. A walk down the road provides scenic views of beautiful redwoods with a creek running alongside. The kitchen has all the amenities and the bedrooms are comfortable and clean. Beaches and parks are minutes away and the information sheets left by the host provided a great starting point on fun things to do. Seeing the redwoods was a bucket list item and we checked it off in style!

A quick Redwood getaway

A very rustic homey cabin in the woods. Perfect for our getaway. Make sure to stop at the grocery store in Half Moon Bay before you head down. There isn’t anything close by.

Amazing Tree House in the Redwoods.

Wow! Just wow is what you'll say the first time you drive up to the cabin. An incredible and private location deep in the Redwood grove. Surrounded by giant trees and the serene flow of the nearby crystal clear creek. The beds were comfy and heater worked great. Everything you need for a nice relaxing weekend in a very AWAY spot. Bring ALL groceries with you as the nearest anything/minimart is about 20-25 minutes. FYI- the tacos at the minimart/gas station in Pescadero are authentic and suuuuuuuper yummy! We will stay here again.

perfect cabin in the redwoods

We had a fantastic stay at this Butano Canyon cabin.The cabin is beautiful and comfortable, with everythingone needs for a trip to the woods. There is a dog friendly back patio to relax in, with Butano creek gently flowingdown below. We could see huge trout swimming in the water, against the current.The neighborhood is friendly and welcoming, and quite close to Butano State Park as well as the townof pescadero. Dan , the cabin’s owner is great to communicate with, and easy going. We hope we can return soon. 10/10.

Peaceful Cabin in a Redwood Forest

This property was absolutely wonderful! It was so quiet and peaceful and exactly what we were looking forward to. My husband is a birder and he was up early every morning walking about the community and seeing so many new birds. You can hear the creek babbling away when you are outside. Inside was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. Dan was so thoughtful to make sure we had everything we needed and made some great suggestions on things to do. Very responsive to text messages. The kne thing we were not quite prepared for, is that there was great wifi, but little to no cell service. It was wonderfully peaceful! We can’t wait to come back.

Home away from home

We had a very enjoyable time in Pescadero. The house was very nice and private. Cleanliness was excellent. The beds were comfortable. Living room couch needs to be replaced, as it is not comfortable. We enjoyed our time on the back deck and our dog certainly enjoyed the property. The owner of the property was very friendly and helpful.The kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed making our meals there. If you decide to come, be sure to bring all of your food because there are no restaurants or stores close by. You are about 20 minutes to a corner store or restaurant, which would be in Pescadero.This is a very secluded, cabin. Great for a getaway!

This was a wonderful getaway for us (a California couple) and our friends from NYC. We brought our most adorable little companion “Bud” (a Havanese), who absolutely fell in love with the forest. Thank you for being pet friendly!The cabin is set in a quiet enclave near Pescadero, surrounded by majestic redwoods. It is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm. We were surprised by how late we slept in each morning — a true sign of relaxation.I gave 4 stars for the accuracy of the listing only because the cabin was actually more charming than the photos suggested. So often wide-angle photography makes rentals look bigger than they are, but in this case it was the opposite — the cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. Spacious, well-kept, well-appointed, and simply magical.The Pescadero area makes for a fantastic getaway. For those unfamiliar, it’s tucked between Santa Cruz (a lively college town) and Half Moon Bay (close to San Francisco, popular on weekends). The coastline is rugged and special, with pelicans, seals, and even migrating whales at the right time of year. The redwood forests nearby are breathtaking. One practical tip: be prepared for stretches with little to no cell service, and download offline Google Maps before you go.All in all, we had a wonderful time in a very special place. Highly recommended for anyone looking to recharge in the beauty of the California coast and forest.

Fun location in the woods! Handy to have washer and dryer for sandy items from the beach. Cabin is very spacious! Agree with another reviewer that sofas collapse when you sit down. We used the kitchen table and the kids were on the floor, so there were alternatives. Hot water takes a bit to come in, but it does and the water pressure is great!
