Eldred, NY, is a charming town nestled in the scenic Catskills region, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and year-round outdoor adventure. The town is just a stone's throw away from the Delaware River, where you can enjoy activities such as fishing, kayaking, and tubing in the warmer months, and scenic walks along its banks during cooler seasons. For hiking enthusiasts, the nearby trails in the Catskill and Delaware State Forests provide stunning views and a chance to connect with nature, whether it's the vibrant foliage of fall, the serene snow-covered landscapes of winter, or the lush greenery of spring and summer.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire home and its outdoor spaces throughout their stay. All main living areas, bedrooms, kitchen, and dining spaces are available for your use. The garage and any locked cabinets or storage areas are reserved for housekeeping and host supplies and are not accessible to guests.

Eldred Homestead sits beside its own pond on more than five private acres and has earned more than 90 five-star reviews. There’s plenty of room for groups and families to spread out, whether you’re spending the afternoon on the deck, hanging out by the pond, or ending the night around one of the fire pits.

The home has a split-level layout, with steps between some rooms. The king bedroom and the nearby queen bedroom are separated by a short staircase.

The main living room welcomes you with a wood stove, TV, and record player. The adjacent dining area boasts large windows overlooking the pond, and the kitchen includes modern appliances, cookware, and other meal-preparation basics. You’ll also find a king bedroom with an en suite bathroom that opens to the hallway, plus a second bedroom with a queen bed. The mudroom serves as the main entrance and includes the washer and dryer.

A separate sunken media room provides a second place to relax, with high ceilings, a large sectional, TV, dedicated workspace, and pull-out full bed.

Upstairs is the third bedroom with a queen bed, along with a second full bathroom and a workout room with a Tonal.

Outside, the deck overlooks the grounds and has a BBQ grill and lounge chairs. A partially enclosed dining area offers another place to enjoy meals with views of the pond. Two fire pits provide cozy gathering spots, while a play structure and lawn games offer entertainment for all ages. Traveling to The Catskills is most feasible by car. You will enjoy scenic drives along the way and have the flexibility you need to experience what the region has to offer.

HOUSE RULES

• No swimming in the pond; supervise children around the water
• Put out the fire pits and wood-burning stove before leaving or going to bed, and remove food and garbage from outside

FAQS
• Two exterior cameras view the driveway and side door; footage is stored in the cloud, and the cameras do not record audio
• Firewood is not provided for the wood-burning stove or fire pits
• Wildlife may pass through the wooded property, so supervise children and pets outside
• The front entrance has 2–3 steps. There are additional steps between rooms inside, including a short staircase between the king and queen bedrooms in the lower portion of the home. A separate staircase leads to the upstairs bedroom, bathroom, and workout room.
