This property is awesome! It flows beautifully, outdoor and indoor. Comfortable and elegant furniture. The views are stunning. Nora had the place stocked with plenty of towels and all other necessities. The kitchen has everything you need for entertaining and cooking.

Pelican Cove was the perfect setting for our family getaway. Nora’s home is well appointed and stocked. Otters, whales, sea lions and pelicans were seen from the deck. The fireplace and cedar tub kept us cozy and content. We made good use of the beach towels and bathrobes. Monastary Beach (5 minutes from house) is lovely though you cannot go into the water. Lover’s Point Beach (20 min) is our favorite of several nearby ocean access beaches. There is ample parking at Lover’s Point.

Spectacular home

We were celebrating a birthday with friends and this beautiful home served as the backdrop for a perfect week in Carmel and the Big Sur. The outstanding ocean views, beautiful fireplaces and well equipped kitchen made for a wonderful stay.

Perfect in every way!

Nora was an amazing host. She made sure we were comfortable and checked on us during a storm. The house was beautiful and perfect for our needs. We couldn't get enough of the views. Next time we'd like to do less in town and enjoy the views more. We are so please with our choice to stay here.

We had an incredible stay at this wonderful beach house. It is larger and even more lovely than the photos, besides having very nice appliances and numerous amenities that make it a "real" home. It is definitely worth a return visit!

Heaven on the Pacific coast

Pelican Cove is truly a unique and outstanding experience. We greatly anticipated this trip and the accommodations and location exceeded our expectations. During our six day stay, we saw at least 25 migrating whales and as many sea otters who played in our private cove. We very much enjoyed the family room with its fireplace and expansive views. Nora met us at the property and introduced it to us in detail. She was always available if we needed her. We have stayed in a number of VRBO homes, but none come even close to matching Pelican Cove.

Another great vacation!

This was our third year to stay here. It was, as always, a great week! Nora is quick to respond to questions and the house is outfitted with everything we needed! No reason to leave the house for great views, it’s one of the best in the area.

Stunning property, perfect for our large family

Wonderful time in Carmel Highlands, an area we have been visiting for 40+ years. The home was perfect for our large family with small, well behaved grandchildren. The host was very responsive and proactive, and easy to work with. The home had everything we needed for a long $th of July weekend. Nice walkable and quiet neighborhood.

My family loves being by the ocean and this is a gorgeous spot. We saw otters, dolphins, seals and so many birds. The property manager was helpful and quick to communicate. Thank you!

It doesn't get much better than here!

When was the last time you watched whales breach, slap their flukes and otters swim bye all from the couch in the living room? Or from the dining room table? Or from the bedrooms? Everywhere you look gives you amazing views in a comfortable environment that is difficult to leave. If you do leave, there is access to the charming town of Carmel, easy drive down Hwy 1 and the other direction to Carmel Valley. We look forward to coming back soon!!

Simply spectacular

I'll break this review down to: house, location, and host. The house is great. AMAZING views. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Wonderful outdoor space with the grill, hot tub, and those views. Didn't know if we'd actually get to see much wildlife but probably saw (each day) 100 birds, a few sea otters, some sea lions, and dolphins. You could spend all day watching the ocean. From the hot tub! The location really works. It's at the northern end of Big Sur. Very easy to take a drive south (Bixby Bridge and more). 10 mins or so to Carmel (and grocery stores). 15 mins to Pebble Beach. 20 mins to Monterey. It's a fantastic location for all those activities. Finally, there's Nora, the host. Nora is as hospitable and communicative as you'll find on VRBO. Very friendly and accommodating. Provides tons of information and help. And the house comes with ample supplies, towels, and even robes. It's not often you can rent an amazing house, in a great location, with a top-notch house but this checks all those boxes!
