Perfection

Beautiful home, well provisioned with beautiful views. Very peaceful. Kitchen has everything you need to prep a Thanksgiving dinner. Would stay here again if travels bring us back to Carmel.

Restful Stay

House is exactly as described. Interior courtyard is a delight. We have stayed in this neighborhood before. If you want to get the Carmel river vibe then this place is for you.

Beautiful Carmel Home

This is a beautiful and incredibly comfortable home in a quiet residential area an easy 20 minute walk to downtown Carmel. The house is well appointed and everyone in our group commented on how comfortable the beds were. We loved the view across the wetlands and saw lots of wildlife from the back patio - deer, birds, frogs. Communication with Steve was seamless as he responded quickly and answered all of our questions. A great stay!

Sisters reunion

Three sisters selected this home for our annual adventure together. The home was accurately described, and exceeded our expectations. The views from the home are lovely, and we had everything we needed to cook meals at home and to relax after a day of exploring.

Great calming view

We've stayed in Carmel from anywhere between 2 weeks and a month at time for the past 35 years. This house was one of our favorites. Spacious, clean and close enough to town to walk home after a great day shopping. The kitchen had everything you could need. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens. We would stay again

Glorious Getaway

We loved our time in this home. It is beautiful – clean, modern design, incredible mountain and ocean views, in a great location. There are multiple outdoor gathering spaces, the open kitchen, dining room, and living room are great for cooking and hanging out, and every bed is as comfortable as can be. Very well maintained. We loved our stay and hope to return.

Peaceful

Cozy modern house where we sat and watched the birds, ducks, deer, sunrises, waves and river wildlife. Loved the location for walking to town or beach. Some of the kids rented bikes and rode everywhere. My whole family gave the house and location a thumbs up and we hope to return again soon.

Clean and beautiful home

Everyone loved the home - it is located just in front of the wetlands which lead to the beach and the view is lovely and the outdoor space makes it easy to enjoy it. The house is very well appointed with everything we needed. The three bedrooms are all ensuite and all are very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. All in all a great house and a great stay!

Truly Spectacular

The home is beautiful. The views from the back porch and the third bedroom deck are amazing. The courtyard is incredibly charming. So relaxing and perfect- can't wait to go back

Beautifully Situated

Our family had a wonderful time being together in this home. It was beautifully situated over the Carmel River with deer, ducks, and other water birds right outside the back doors. The sunsets were gorgeous, and we loved watching the waves crash against Carmel River Beach. We also loved being able to walk to the beaches and to Mission Ranch for dinner, and were able to get to town easily. We would definitely stay there again. The home was comfortable and well appointed.

Family weekend

Wonderful property, perfect for a group of six. Clean and well equipped, located in a quiet neighborhood at a walking distance from the beach. We loved spending time on the terrace enjoying the view.

Weekend with friends

Very comfortable home with nice views and within walking distance from town. Well stocked kitchen and glassware. We very much enjoyed it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect home, THE location

In Carmel for car week and this home was such a nice place to hang out. Good proximity to all the events, fantastic walking neighborhood, and a nice walk to Ocean avenue restaurants and shops. Best of all, the view inside and out are great. The home has everything we needed as far as cooking tools and laundry. Loved it!

Perfect Carmel House!

We were two couples and all fell in love with this house--very comfortable and well done. The view and location is amazing, Carmel River beach is 5 min walk away and then can walk along the entire shoreline of Carmel, everyday was more beautiful than the day before. I have already recommended this house to numerous friends and will rent again next time in Carmel.

Amazing property and location (w/one tiny caveat)

Everything about this property is just amazing: the location, amenities, cleanliness, property management, thoughtful owner, etc. Everything we could possibly need or want was here. We could spend hours (and did) looking out at the view. Walking the neighborhood was such fun, including a short walk to a terrific beach. We could even walk to the Mission Ranch for breakfast or cocktails/dinner (and spy Clint Eastwood). The ONLY caveat is that this property is located directly a/c the street from an elementary school. They had reveille each morning, lots of very loud play time in the mornings and afternoon, and the capper: the principal, using his best Alex Trebek impression, called out, on the school's public address system, the name of each child as his/her parent came to pick him/her up. It was LOUD! We could not use the beautiful courtyard during this daily, midafternoon ritual and have normal conversation. Bottom line: we stay here again, absolutely. Just be forewarned about school noise.

Big Sur 11-miler Weekend

Carmel Modern Hacienda was the perfect place for three couples to spend a long weekend. The house is beautiful and exactly as pictured online. House had all amenities needed and beds were super comfortable. Amazing views from the deck of Point Lobos and Carmel River Beach. The interior courtyard is the perfect spot to recap the day with friends. The location is amazing and in a great neighborhood. Can walk the scenic drive route to experience some amazing beaches and coastal views and walkable to town and Mission Ranch. We had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave!

NEWLY RENOVATED with SPECTACULAR VIEWS & STROLLING DISTANCE to CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA make this CHARMING MODERN HACIENDA a PERFECT choice for your Carmel holiday. The open floor plan let family and friends visit while preparing meals, or watching a movie. The SCENIC SPRAWLING DECK beckons you to pause, sit back and relax. This Modern Hacienda features a main floor large master king suite with private bath. The Master french doors open up to a expansive deck area with sweeping grassland/water views in the distance. The master bath is bathed in light from the large skylight. Large in size it hosts a double vanity, tiled walk in large shower, walk in closet and separate commode area. There are black out shades in all bedrooms. The master suite has a desk area with wifi and wireless printer. Bedroom 2 is also in the main house. It is large in size with a private bathroom which features a walk-in tile shower. This bedroom looks into the enclosed court yard through pretty french doors. The courtyard is planted with pink hydrangeas, miniature fruit trees and lavender. The separate guests quarters across the courtyard consists of 2 queen beds, a sitting area, a large screen cable TV, a petite kitchenette with refrigerator, sink & coffee maker. The full bath has a shower/tub combination. The guest suite also has wireless internet. The view from the guesthouse suite balcony is lovely in itself.....mountains in one direction and distant sand beaches in the other. The all new remodeled construction of the property offers a crispness and refreshing feel that guests seem delighted to enjoy. The openness of the great-room with it's stylish gigantic center island satisfies the most discriminating chefs.
