Great stay

We went for our annual girls trip. The house is close to the beach with a nice trail to the water just make sure if you are walking you use bug spray. House was very comfortable and had plenty of room for the 6 of us.

Grand isle vacation

This property was beautiful and perfect for our family of 5. Short walk to the beach. The house was very clean and the owners responded quickly with any questions/concerns that we had. It is definitely a place we would book again. We had a great time.

2023 Trio

We try and come to GI every year This trip was great. Our 5 night vacation was prefect. The house was immaculate decorated, prefect location, and had all the items needed. The fish were biting so we came home with wonderful tans and 3 big coolers full of Red Fish, Special Touts, and Spanish Mackerels. Only thing we missed was it is still little to cool for crabs so missed out on catching them. All in all Everyone had a great time and we definitely

Nice house but dirty

Beautiful deck with beautiful views of the gulf. Very nice house, however the cleaning staff leaves much to be desired. Refrigerator was dirty, freezer full of sand, house dusty and when looking for a shoe, my husband pulled a shirt and dirt from under the sofa. Close to the gulf beach but right next to a public access, so do not plan on peace and quiet, as the public access is extremely noisy late in the evenings. Two master bedroom closets locked so no where to hang clothes, could have at least had one available for paying guest.

Amazing Trip

Sweet and Salty is an amazing property in Grand Isle, with great views of the Gulf. My family and I had a terrific time, and was blessed with great weather for the week. The owners were very kind and made the process and our trip amazing. We are already planning our next trip to Grand Isle and will be looking to stay at Sweet and Salty again.

Salty and Sweet Thanksgiving

The process was very easy. This property is adorable with amazing views of the Gulf and easy access to the beach!! Rick and Gena were very responsive and helpful. I had all I needed to have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my family. The accommodations were great!! The local hospitality couldn’t have been better.

Wonderful Fishing Camp

The owner Rick was great and very helpful with any questions. The camp is beautiful and very peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need to cook and plenty of glasses, plates & silverware. The whole family loved the back porch watching sunrise & sunsets together. Great location and awesome property owners!

This fish camp is so nice! It is clear that owners spend time taking great care of their property. The place was immaculately cleaned and the location is phenomenal. The owners were also more than willing to let us know about all the great things to do including fishing!

Beautiful home, gorgeous views!

Oh, we loved this beautiful home so much for our family vacation! It’s location on the island is perfection....so quiet and relaxing! The home is so lovely and well appointed. Rick was fabulous and helpful and we will definitely visit this home again!!!

property was clean, and the beds were mega comfortable. Porch overlooking the beach was amazing. Caught 60 plus big trout in front along the jetties and 6 plus dozen crabs to go with it. The outside hot shower was a blessing, especially when you come off the beach late at dark with a strong southern wind. Thanks Rich and sorry about the cabinet

Home Sweet Home

We LOVED our time at Sweet N Salty. The home is beautiful and clean. One of my favorite features was the spacious back porch overlooking the beach. I could sit there and enjoy the view and hear the waves crashing on the sand. The other great asset is the EASY access to the beach. The house is located directly next to a public beach access that few people use. I loved the location because it was almost like a private beach on the weekdays. On the weekend, we had more visitors on the beach but it was still very few people. We will definitely rent again.

It Doesn’t Get Better Than This

This is a pristine, beautiful home steps from the beach. The house is maintained with tender loving care and it shows. Immaculately clean. Well furnished. Beds as comfortable as home. Seriously it doesn’t get better than this. Love fishing? Talk to Rick for the best spots. We ended up with plenty to share. Love this home and how amazing Rick was in ensuring our stay was perfect. In all fairness, I have tried to think of a negative to share with other VRBOers. Sorry, there are none. I’ll say it one last time. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Fantastic stay....again!

This house is amazing! We have stayed before and will stay again. From the perfect views of dolphins, shrimp boats and the ocean to a gourmet kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of room - this place has it all. The outside shower is a big bonus after returning from the beach with kids as well! Owners have always been pleasant and responsive. Close to the grocery store and the state park but away from others houses so it is quiet and peaceful. Spacious interior rooms with all the amenities you could need. You feel like you are at home vacation!!! Who wouldn’t want that!?

We decided to build our house in Grand Isle after over twenty five years of going there to fish and just enjoy the beach. I literally started thinking about buying property there on my very first visits. I fell in love with the quiet, peaceful, laid back lifestyle of this beautiful little island. Now our five year old granddaughter loves it as much as we do.

There is nothing like sitting on that nice big deck watching the sun come up over the Gulf of Mexico or having a drink as the sun sets over the bay. The view from the kitchen window actually makes doing dishes enjoyable.
