Pros: beautiful view, cozy home, excellent location, well appointed kitchen, strong WiFi, nice sound system, plenty of hot water, prompt communication
Cons: very very dirty (appears clean at first, but don’t look in the corners...), carpet is really gross and rippled- mega trip hazard, upstairs (only full bath) needs attention- orange gunk around all the edges showing signs of being super old, shower curtain slimy pink due to too much use, blankets and towels appeared freshly laundered but are in need of replacement (pilled/stained), furniture is old and smelly and the dressers has spiders in them, super steep stairs with slippery carpet- all of us almost fell down multiple times, carpet in loft was so disgusting- you could feel it under your feet (our teen wouldn’t go barefoot), dishes were not very clean...
The kicker to it all was that there wasn’t any laundry available. On site laundry was listed in the ameneties and unfortunately we missed that clause written in the notes about the listing. Real bummer when you’re at the coast for 6 nights! Even hotels have laundry available. I hope they remedy this ASAP. There were 9 bath towels for 5 of us for the week. My mother in law brought some over for us to use and wash back at her house in Eugene. Owner was prompt in replying but was a bit rude in implying that we expected daily linen service when I asked about it. No, of course we don’t expect that but we do expect to be able to have enough clean towels for nearly a week. We’re cool using the same towels for a couple days but for 6 days? Really? No thanks. These folks have low standards of cleanliness... if you’re cool with that or only going for 1-2 nights that’d be fine I’m sure but I’d look elsewhere for longer stays.
