Dancing Bear: Top rated on 2 Private Creek acres w screened porch, WiFi, Grill

This is it! Top rated cozy creek side cabin on 2 private acres with a large screened in porch nestled into White Rock Mountain just 15 minutes from downtown Franklin, NC. Listen to the rushing creek from the large lounging deck or enjoy a warm fire relaxing on the creek side pergola. A dreamy screened in porch combines the best of indoor/outdoor living. Inside, enjoy a cathedral ceiling with an open floorplan. We love food and we love to cook, so we made sure you have a well stocked chef's kitchen with a gas range and outdoor grill. Enjoy an espresso maker, French press or classic drip coffee makers, and an assortment of teas and kettle. Sleep tight in a cozy king size bedroom that opens to the screened in porch, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the creek. Across the hall, is a private guest room with a queen bed. For a lofty experience, discover a cozy king bed and full bathroom upstairs with a gorgeous outside view...this space is kid and adult approved! The 2 full bathrooms are equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay and stocked with lots of towels. Let your river shoes air dry on the screened in porch, and also enjoy a fully equipped laundry room off the master.

Don't feel like cooking? Franklin is now a foodies' paradise with a vibrant downtown restaurant scene. Look through our welcome book for our recommendations. What a wonderful property. It was cozy, quirky and very comfortable. The huge screened in porch was a great gathering spot. The deck was spacious with sitting areas scattered around. The soothing sound of the creek was very calming. Tiffanie was an extremely attentive host and answered all my questions in a timely fashion. Little touches like a welcome snack basket and books about mountain living scattered about make the cabin welcoming. And Franklin is in a great area!

This property was a great place to stay! If you have a small dog, you will love the screened in porch and the gates that are on the deck. My dog loved running around the deck, and I felt perfectly safe, letting her out there. This was a peaceful oasis for us, and we loved the sound of the creek running close by. The kitchen is every bit as nice as the owner said it was in the posting. Everything is organized, there were plenty of dishes, pans, everything a good cook could look for.

Tiffanie was very attentive prior to and during our stay. The cabin is nicely tucked in by a creek surrounded by mountain laurels. Great for sitting by a fire and listening to the creek babble by. Grilled food every night and falling asleep to the creek lullaby was just what we needed. Thanks Tiff.

My family travels to this area every year, but this was our first time staying in this cabin. It will be our go-to location for as long as the owners will share it! It was clean, relaxing, nicely decorated, very comfortable, communication was great and the location was perfect. Don’t hesitate!

Ultimate Mountain Getaway

This cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The property owner is very easy to communicate with and got right back with me every time I talked to her. The house is very well maintained, and we really enjoyed having the water flowing right off the huge porch. you don’t have to worry about having a four-wheel-drive because the roads are hard topped all the way to the driveway.

Rainy day Games

A Nice cabin in the woods with a creek right next to it. Town not too far away and pretty easy to get to. Our grandkids drove up to surprise us and we had a great time. It was pouring rain for most of our visit but the creek sounds were music and the fresh air was a nice little break for us. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property.

Awesome Stay at a True Gem of a Mountain Cabin

My husband and I booked Tiffanie’s cabin for the Labor Day weekend. What a find! The idyllic cabin is tucked away in a rhododendron forest beside a babbling brook. It’s beautifully decorated and perfectly appointed. It boasts an amazing screened porch and an expansive deck with multiple seating areas as well as a creekside deck and fire pit. The interior is both comfortable and functional, and gorgeous to boot. It’s a perfect place to get away and relax. We can’t wait to return.

Christmas Getaway

This property was great! We travel each year for Christmas and looked into the Franklin, NC area. Found this beautiful cabin that had a creek next to it. Just the sound of the water alone was relaxing enough. The cabin was further off the main road than we thought and cell service was very spotty, but the WIFI in the cabin was great with no issues. A must when you have 2 teenagers. Beds were comfy and host supplied basic amenities that I’ve found other rentals do not. Overall stay was amazing, would highly recommend this cabin if coming into the area.

A Magical Creekside Escape in the Mountains

From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the magical mountain landscape that surrounds this property. Nestled in nature, the home offers an immediate sense of calm and rejuvenation—it’s truly the perfect place to unwind and reset. One of the most unique and beautiful features is the creek that runs through the property. The gentle sound of flowing water added such a peaceful ambiance to our stay—it felt like nature’s own soundtrack and made our mornings on the porch absolutely serene. The home itself is beautifully maintained—immaculate, welcoming, and clearly cared for with love. Every detail made us feel at home. The host's communication was outstanding, with quick and thoughtful responses throughout the entire process. Their warmth and professionalism made everything seamless from start to finish. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a soul-soothing experience we’ll always remember. We can’t wait to come back!

My niece and I had a wonderful week at Dancing Bear. After unloading all our stuff and groceries, we discovered a major problem (no water). After trying several fixes, Tiffanie arranged for us to stay the night at a nice B& B in Franklin. After a good night sleep and a good breakfast we headed to Dillard. By the time we finished lunch, Tiffanie called and said the problem was fixed (it was the pump). So we returned to the cabin. It was just as described. Spacious but cozy. Beautiful views in all directions. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Everything we needed was provided. The cabin is very private and quiet. The creek is very close and is delightful. We spent one day just chilling at the cabin. Enjoyed the shops in Clayton, Franklin, and Highlands. We recommend Wild Thyme Gourmet in Highlands and Wolf Creek BBQ in Clarksville for lunch. If you like handmade pottery don’t miss Mark of the Potter on the Soque River just north of Clarksville. It’s a beautiful place. We would definitely recommend Dancing Bear and would love to return. And if you have any problems (stuff happens) Tiffanie will be there for you.

Friends call me the hostess with the mostest! I'm originally from the Carolinas, and my family settled in Franklin from Scotland. I grew up spending time here year round with my family taking in the fresh air, tubing creeks, and enjoying scenic highways. My family and I are so excited to host in a cabin of our own.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The drive in to the property is so beautiful. You pass horse farms, farm land, and you might even see a wedding party along the way. Cloud draped Smoky Mountains, old churches, and feeder creeks will greet you as you meander towards the cabin. We are situated at the end of the road 4 miles off the main highway, so it is very private and peaceful. Our neighborhood is centrally located to all the Western North Carolina attractions.

この宿泊施設の特徴

It's magical. We searched for years before finding the Dancing Bear cabin. We love the privacy, fresh air, and sound of the creek rushing by. We can't help but wade or plunge in the cool creek water, and climb on the mossy boulders. The outdoor spaces and screened-in porch are fantastic year round. The privacy, experience of nature, and peacefulness of this place will transport you and your loved ones. Enjoy.
