We are Bob and Rita from the North Shore of Boston. Our connection to the University of Alabama began when our daughter attended school there. During our visits, we completely fell in love with the campus, the surrounding Northport and Tuscaloosa area, and the sense of community that makes it so special.

We loved it so much that we decided to buy this home—not just as a rental, but as a place we genuinely enjoy using ourselves and sharing with others. We’ve taken great pride in caring for the house and thoughtfully outfitting it with all the comforts and details we would want during our own stays.

We chose this neighborhood for its ideal location—close to the University of Alabama, downtown Tuscaloosa, and the charm of Northport—while still being tucked away in a quiet, residential setting. It offers the best of both worlds: easy access to the energy of campus, game days, dining, and entertainment, with the ability to come home to peace and quiet.

We especially enjoy how calm the neighborhood feels, where mornings and evenings are often filled with the sound of birds rather than traffic. At the same time, everyday conveniences are just minutes away, including CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Lowe’s, and Publix, along with familiar dining options like Chick‑fil‑A, McDonald’s, and Popeyes. It’s a comfortable, convenient area that makes visiting the Tuscaloosa and Northport area easy and relaxing.

What truly sets our home apart is the combination of its ideal location and the care we’ve put into every detail. We remodeled this house with the mindset of creating a place we would genuinely enjoy staying in ourselves, not just a place to rent.

Throughout the home, you’ll find thoughtful conveniences like multiple device charging ports in every room, full‑length LED mirrors in the bedrooms—perfect for getting ready on game day—and a dedicated sit‑stand workspace in the primary bedroom. That workspace includes a docking station and extra monitor, making it easy to extend your stay or work remotely.

We offer AT&T high‑speed Wi‑Fi to ensure there’s plenty of bandwidth when everyone is online, along with a comfortable living area featuring a 65” TV for relaxing and unwinding. The fully equipped kitchen includes a coffee station stocked with K‑cups, ground coffee, creamers, sugars, and flavored syrups so mornings are easy and enjoyable.

Outside of the interior, the home is professionally maintained with regular landscaping and pest control, and a recently upgraded AC system helps ensure comfort even during Alabama’s warmer months. Most importantly, we take great pride in cleanliness and work with exceptional housekeepers to make sure the home is spotless and welcoming for every guest.
